Joe's Towing & Recovery, Inc., Largo FL

I sold a car and the largo police impounded the vehicle. They used Joe's services now there trying to make me pay the bill. And when I tried to talk to them they were rude and refused to deal with the new owner. I posted the review this morning and they responded with lies. They can't even admit when they are wrong. Think twice before using a company like this. All there bad review's tell alot about a business.

Wish I could give Zero stars for the absolute terrible customer service and rudeness of the staff at this facility any time I called and in person. They should learn to treat people with more respect. Do not recommend. Stay away.

Joe's currently has my large class A tour bus / home but they worked with me to access my legal documents and a few clothes I needed to get by off the RV even though they didn't have to by law.

So my car was towed to this place because of an accident so we had no choice as other people have stated. This company cares nothing about the cars that they are towing. We had damage to our car that was not part of the accident and happened after the accident between the time that they picked up the car and they adjuster came there and took pictures of the car and their towing yard. So the review will only be changed once they fix it. If not an update of exactly what happened will be put here because I definitely would say do not send your car here and talking to the collision place. They say that if you have towing insurance to take it straight to a collision place and drop it off there do not take it to a toy yard especially this one because this is how your car gets even more damage and insurance will not pay for it because it's not part of the accident for the accident report.

I would not use this service. The police called this company to tow my disabled auto.on November 9,2022-Joe's arrived just minutes before my tow truck and this proved to be very unlucky for me. Their customer service is horrific-they will admonish and curse you out for anything that makes them feel that they have been slighted in any way. My advice ask the police not to call Joe's Towing & Recovery and if they do refuse the tow. I had another tow truck pick my auto up the morning of November 10,2022 if you want to check your audio/video and I was cursed out and belittled.

The worst. First the girls at the desk don't know anything, then after waiting over an hours they magically remembered that we have to wait for the yard guy who is out finding tows or towing vehicles. I've been here since 215 it's now 318 and still haven't gotten my tag off my totaled car, after I've already paid them. Frustration to the 10 power right now. Way to go Joe.

Police called them to tow my car after an accident. The guy didn't ask me if it was ok to start my car and move it onto the tow truck, and fluid was pouring out of the bottom of my car so I was pretty annoyed he just tried to start it. I called the next day and they couldn't even tell me if my car was there or not, and told me to call back later. And then lastly, I forgot to put my name and number in the car for the mechanic, and the lady promised she would go back and put it there for me. She didn't. Good thing I called the mechanic to double check. Lesson learned - never let the police handle the towing after an accident

Well they lost a very expensive key to my vehicle. They drove the vehicle onto the wrecker and the wrecker drove off so they had the key. I had three people turn my vehicle upside down looking for it and they told me I had the key because I drove off with the vehicle in which this was in correct I had to drive all the way home to get my spare and the towed my truck and left it outside the gate with a flat tire for me to pick up. They said they would not pay to replace the main key to my expedition which cost me more money then my car being there. I had to pay $305 to get my car out of their yard and another $320 for a key they lost.

Could have been quicker at the tow, took 8 hours and called 6 times with no return call. Poor customer service.

Joes was called by largo PD to tow my car after an accident. I waited almost 25min watching two workers have a conversation before I was helped. I am not the registered owner of the car but I am the owner of the insurance on the car. The lady at the desk refused to let me go back even though I had showed the crash report stating that I was the driver which forced me to keep my car there over Labor Day weekend. This would have cost me almost $120! It didn’t help that the receptionist was horrid with a terrible attitude. I wouldn’t wish doing business with this company on my worst enemy.

Update: they called the cops on my 5’5 mom for saying she was frustrated. She expressed that she was upset to the man in the gulf cart and he threatened to take her back to the front without getting anything. How convenient seeing as the force you to sign that you received your items before you can even go back. Cops were nice though they escorted my mom back with my things with no problems.

Totally preying on people who have been in car accidents. They must have a deal with the Largo PD.

I got into a bad car wreck borrowing my moms car 4days ago, Friday evening it hit me like a ton of bricks falling from the sky into the pit of my stomach that I had left my precious wedding ring in the car, $2000 ring their is NO mistaking weither it's real or not the whole weekend I had insane anxiety and everyone taking bets if it's still there or not.and it was! Completely unharmed and the gentlemen working even moved the car for my mom because it was in a big puddle so she wouldn't get dirty/soaked. I trust this company.don't knock them down because their job is to tow cars. And make sure yall have all the paper work you need just like any other business. They are making sure no one else can get into the yard but the ownerr of the car yes it can be inconvenient but its for a very good reason! And I'm thankful for that.

Horrible customer service. Their night dispatch does not know the rules about releasing a vehicle. Could not even give a total till the morning.

I'm handicap. Brought son to help but wasn't allowed. Wish sheriff followed directions for tow. But I was stupid listened too the deputy.

What a disaster. After getting into an accident my car was towed here. The driver said I can go straight there to do paperwork before he gets there. I arrive and am told that they can’t help before my car is there because they don’t have then details, I offer to give them and she refuses and provides no help whatsoever. Then I come back to get the next day to get my belongings out of my car and she will only let my husband go to the car since his name is on the title. Even though we obviously are together and he gave consent and is there with me. They weren’t helpful at all through any of the process

Great people to deal with here. Wouldn't use any other company except the sister company Tri-J both are staffed with greatness!

Tow person had locked my keys in truck and locked it instead of hanging them up or putting them in a drop box. I was hurting and I had to sit there in 85 degree heat and wait for them to unlock my s.u. V. I wasn't happy

Having to get your car towed isn't ever a pleasant experience, but Joe's towing made it barrable I wasn't waiting for hours because they sent someone out immediately and the gentleman was polite, well mannered, and helpful.

There the worst. Especially correct information. They need someone who knows how to get answers right for anyone with a car in there lot. Thumbs-down.

I had an outstanding experience with them moving my storage container at a rental property. They had all of the necessary tools and experience, as well as personable employees at the job site! My real estate brokerage will use them again going forward for jobs big and small.
