Johnny Longboats reviews
31It is the most freshest sushi & beautiful place on the island. My sous chef is my new best friend love it.
Great service IF you have the right waiter! Have mixed feeling had great and horrible service in a 24 hour period
Don't go here unless you are prepared to wait over an hour for your table and over an hour for your food. The cocktails were not good and the food was mediocre. I was very disappointed.
Food was good, but the personality of the servers was phenomenal! I also have to mention the bus staff. Usually they go unseen, but these men were hauling a$$!
Visiting from San Diego and had our 30 year vow renewal on the beach. Came to JohnnyLongboats after for dinner and cocktails, it did not disappoint. I ordered surf and turf and it was delicious. Relaxed and fun setting, would recommend.
We actually stopped going to JLB after more than 6 years of patronizing because the service had gotten so bad, The prices went up and the menu was eh. We were looking for a convenient place to meet up with people from northern and south Florida. The weather forecast was not ideal for St. Patrick's day so our original plans were scrapped. I choose JLB out of desperation. What I didnt know was that there were new owners and new management. The menu was great, prices were higher but selections were great and were tasty. Service was excellent and the GM was top notch. Looking forward to future visits
Went on a Friday night place was packed waited about 20 minutes for a table but well worth it the atmosphere was awesome had live music everyone was having a great time the staff was excellent the food was phenomenal well worth the money definitely going back
Tuna Poke bowl was great. Lobster sandwich was so worth it! Stuffed with Real Lobster meat. Happy hour drinks were a great price! But most importantly, our server Sam (short for Samantha.lol) was awesome. Quick, knowledable, awesome! It was also so nice for the manager to stop by each table to introduce himself and ask how everything was! We will be back!
Food was ok, however the mis leading non includietailing seating, to get happy hour pricing for appettizers was a lying ploy just to get you through the door. My food was ok;but fish tacos were dry. We entered under false pretenses of half price apps, then were told only if we sat at the bar. After lied to& food not so worth full price; we are done.
Nothing like it was a couple of years ago, its very noticable the unhappiness of the employees, i witnessed some time ago a supervisor or manager batter one of the girls bartending, (VERY UNPROFESSIONAL) food seems to be tossed together, wait times arent too bad but could be better, dinning area have tables that wobble, overall just seems to be a lack of caring about it, used to go there frequently, it's a shame, i liked the place.
BEST place to go to have your fresh fish cooked. AND they can cook it gluten free for you if it matters to you like it does for me. Also- ASK FOR ROBIN, you won’t regret it. It makes it that much more fun because she’s just so fun!
Food's good, decoration is great, service is fair, mixologist are poor, they have nice bar but no idea how to make a Tom Collins.
Amanda was our waitress and she was fantastic.
Food was great as well as the service.
I had the dolphin Ruben.excellent!
Also had the shrimp jambalaya.awesome!
Will return.
Great casual atmosphere - fun vibe with friendly service. The "Grouper in a Bag" is their specialty and not to be missed- delicious!
Our first time and it was great. The service was great, we didn't wait long for our food, everything tasted great, and had a guy playing the saxophone. We drove 45 minutes just to check this place out and we were not disappointed. We will be back. They also sell Tshirts etc.
Food isn’t that great. I had fish tacos and the fish was dried out. I would give them a second chance but I definitively with another dish.
Good food and fun environment. The service was a little slow and it was hard to track down the waiter at times.
Peaceful location with laid back, friendly people. We love their rum buckets and the food is always delicious.
USED to be a good place - They always had the best fried fish and since have changed the recipe. The advertising on the menu still says served with the rosy tarter sauce, but it isn't. Also, my kids used to LOVE their Mac and Cheese recipe and now it tastes like Kraft. Not sure why new owners always tend to mess up a good thing?
Good food but a limited craft beer selection. The open air dining section was nice, breezy but not in the direct sunlight getting fried. Plus a very friendly waitstaff. I would go back
