Jonathan Dickinson State Park reviews
18It's a great place to visit they have camping areas canoes you don't want to go in the summer go in the winter. They have sites for RVs and they're reasonably priced depending on the time of the year enjoy if you decide to visit
There was no alligators, canoeing was relaxing. CANDY WAS MY FAVORITE PART. Very fun most likely recommended. And you will have a blast.
Bike riding here was a ton of fun. I saw an alligator and a turtle on my adventure. Also went on a boat ride and saw a manatee. Lovely park. There was also an inside nature museum and the kids got to do a scavenger hunt! Great day!
It is very cool, it is close to the palla and you can ride a boat and kayak inside the park, ride a bike, it is very safe and quiet
Make sure you get an "even numbered" campsite, like 50,52,54 etc. That way you don't get the afternoon sun
The campground itself is great however, bring your own tp! Showers were not private it's just a stall door, But they were clean. There's a lot to do but everything closes at 9
Went there to do some snorkeling there is construction going on but the snorkeling was great.
This place offers everything! It's an amazing place to camp with the Loxahatchee River to be enjoyed by kayaking, canoeing, or hiking. The park's infrastructure is excellent.
Great place to camp! Clean sites, bathrooms and facilities. Very friendly and helpful front gate park rangers and office staff.
We did a kayak tour here with our children today and it was really idyllic. Paddling up Kitchen Creek was a great tip, we saw an alligator and a giant turtle there. The times given at the reception are very generous, so that everything is easy to manage.
Trails not too eventful, overlook was out of order, but very nice park regardless.
The observation tower at sunset is stunning! A must-see in Jupiter.
Very much Florida at it's natural fineness.
Nice shady, private sites for renters.
Well maintained restrooms. On site store is overpriced, trendy tourist trap. If you're camping, bring everything you need, or pay tourist prices.
Wow, so vast and " real Florida ". Interesting history and view from observation deck was breathtaking.
Came for the boat ride. We are regulars that stay in the campgrounds. It’s absolutely lovely on the campground. I’m gonna leave the one star for them.
After we purchased our tickets, we went down to the boat approximately 50 minutes early and asked if we could sit in the boat we were told no so we went a little further down the dock all the way in the corner bothering absolutely no one, and someone in appearing to be a manager position told us we could not picnic there. I told him we were not picnicking we were waiting for the boat. He said that’s 30 minutes away and he said they have boats coming in and out I said, really, do you? Then he walked away as he was walking away mumbled something about we could stay, but we decided to get a refund since we couldn’t go on the boat we couldn’t sit on the dock and that just seems really strange. You have absolutely no patrons, try to treat the ones you have well. We are typically good for spending at least $40 a trip in the snack shop. No more.: (we were treated like homeless sleeping in a park in Chicago.
If you like to mountain bike challenging trails, this is the best place in the area. Otherwise, they also have a bunch of events that are always well run and fun. Join the Scrub Club and support the bike trails! Really great community of devoted cyclists who tend the trails.
Best State Park on the East Coast!
We've been to 11 state parks between Boston and Key West and this one was by far the best. Not only the many activities that are possible here and the extremely nice and courteous rangers, but above all the CLEANEST AND NICEST TOILETS AND SHOWERS! Also the RV parking lots are serviced daily. Gladly again and then longer. Super well done!
Very good campground with full service. The volunteers do an excellent job of cleaning each campsite.
Campsites are not covered but very spacious in the part bear US1 with full hookups. Great walking and bike trails. Easy access to Jupiter Inlet
