I have been going to Ricotta for ~2 years. I have only seen him on the first console which was in hospital. Although the PA is nice I would feel better seeing the Doctor every now and them.

Dr Joseph Ricotta was recommended by another of my doctors to help with my health. I looked up Dr Ricotta's credentials and I was impressed. I made an appointment and it was an easy process, after seeing Dr Ricotta and his PA we scheduled my procedures at his office based surgical center. There I was treated with care kindness and compassion. Dr Ricotta performed my treatments and I couldn't be more happy. I totally recommend Dr. Joseph Ricotta and his practice Prime Vascular to everyone.

Masie, Havia, Cintia, Viv, Dr. Forman and Dr. Ricotta were absolutely phenomenal. Procedure went better than expected. I gifted another round of Ferrari Daytona’s to this truly excellent vascular surgical team.

I had blood clots ulcers, swollen leg/calf pain/discomfort and 30+ days ibuprofen and pain medication. These are a few of the side effects that I had after my Vena Seal procedure. Dr Ricotta performed this procedure.

On the scheduled day and time of the surgery, I and three staff members waited 25 minutes for Dr. Ricotta to grace us with his presence, to complete the procedure. The vein from my ankle to my crouch had a long tube inside it and had to constantly be inflated with air while we waited.

The procedure finished painlessly, and I was told any discomfort would be gone quickly, if I would have any at all. I had to return the next day or so because discomfort and swelling was starting. They did an ultrasound scan, said everything was as it should be and It may take a week now to settle down.

The swelling and pain continued, I contacted the office sent photos and had no response.

I saw another doctor in another office who was concerned about the the blood clots and ulcers and prescribed ibuprofen and pain medicine, and to be very careful and let him know if the symptoms get worse.

No one from Dr Ricotta’s office ever called me back until a couple months ago, stating I had a follow up appointment. They did however turn me into collections for a $20.00 co/pay.
The above statement was my experience and opinion dealing with Dr. Ricotta.

The unfortunate issue here is I have no idea what the future holds for this Vena Seal procedure. I feel I was misinformed about the procedure, especially its after affects. I especially dislike the follow up care and could not ever in good conscience recommend Dr Ricotta, just from my own experiences.

Had very upsetting experiences at Dr. Ricotta’s office. He rarely sees patients, and when an appointment is scheduled, he cannot show up on time. He lets his physician assistants and nurses oversee patients because he doesn’t have time.

Dr. Ricotta performed an angioplasty and his office scheduled the first follow-up visit OVER a month later on a badly clogged lower leg - for a patient that he had done previous angioplasties that were unsuccessful. If he were a more conscientious doctor, this condition could have been caught earlier.

At the appointment, Jessica Bruno, the PA, didn’t consult the chart or would have realized the wound was getting dangerously worse. She didn’t unwrap the dressings on the affected leg or order an ultrasound to check the circulation, ultimately leading to an amputation.

Dr. Ricotta touts numerous credentials on his website and the walls of his office, but it doesn’t mean anything if his staff acts with negligence.

Not a nice guy for my father at all, refused to talk to me about the operation my father got in October, kept on watching the ultrasounds and not taking care of my father's blood clots.refuse to talk to you when you're at his office.

Dr Ricotta and his staff are the best! I was struggling with vascular problems in my legs for 25 years. Recently I had two procedures done Varithena and Vena Seal. I am finally pain-free I feel wonderful! The procedures were easy & painless. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and very professional! Couldn’t recommend a more friendlier practice!
