Joy Luck Garden reviews
16Been coming here for over 10 years, food is always great and consistent. The service is ALWAYS friendly. Highly recommend!
Avoid at all costs. I decided to try this instead of going over to bridge to China Restaurant like I normally would. Horrible decision. The food did not taste good and made me violently ill.
My wife and I drove from Palm Coast Florida to new Smyrna Beach to try this restaurant. I don’t know what all the negative reviews are about. It should be 5.0 I saw the staff was extremely friendly. The service was fast. The food was awesome. We don’t have a Chinese buffet in Palm Coast Florida. I wish they would open up a second location up here but until they do, we are going to to be making the round-trip to do Smyrna beach and back to our house in Palm Coast, Florida, with, full tummies.
We were there at lunchtime on a Friday and it was $13.50 per person. My wife had ice water I had a hot tea and ice water. It came out to about $30 plus a gratuity we gave them 20% so 36 bucks not bad for as much as we could eat.
The food is decent, but the tables are dirty and sticky. You have to ask for napkins. It just wasn't a great experience.
Blaaaaah no will definitely NOT be going back.
How can you mess up Wonton soup!?
The Sushi had no taste at all. Very disappointed
My husband said the only good thing was the prepackaged ice cream.
Habatchi grill on lSB I'll stick with.
$43. FOR 2 AT LUNCH! No thanks
Happy staff, good food, packed containers, quick, piping hot and great after a hard work day! Place 8s 5ake out or delivery only, so no "atmosphere" needed.
I get general tso's here constantly. That and lo mein. And I usually ask for it extra spicey and they definitely accommodate me. Place is the best Chinese in NSB hands down.
Yes. This is the best Chinese food in town. Yes. This is my personal opinion. The food has not changed since I’ve been going here from 2017 until now. I always order the Gen Tso chicken Combo. The chicken is perfectly sauced with just the right amount every time. The rice is cooked so it’s not too soft and not too hard. The Egg Roll Magnificent. $11.60 later and I’m eating in for some good NSB Chinese <3
Worst Chinese food I have ever had! It was not fresh at all even thou they told me 20 min wait when I walked in and ordered when there were no customers! The broth for the wonton soup even tasted like it was not fresh! And by not fresh I mean it had a tangy sour taste to it! The chicken in the chicken and broccoli tasted like stale old chicken. I threw it all away in fear of getting sick from eating it! Will never go here again! Complete waste of $20!
Very consistent food. Delicious shrimp fried rice and general tsos chicken. Always tastes delicious and exactly the same. I’ll always eat from here as long as this place exists. And friendly customer service to top it off.
THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE WORST FOOD I HAVE EVER ATE. THE CHOW MAIN WAS LIKE A GELATIN. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST WILL NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN!
Ordered mushi pork and kung pao chicken. The mushi pork, while not too saucy (a complaint we sometimes have with this dish) was undercooked. The cabbage was a tad too tough/chewy but overall, it did taste ok. However, the kung pao chicken was probably the worst rendition of that dish we've ever had. VERY spicy with no taste.just heat. Please note that I love spicy food but this dish was just horribly overspiced. Really bad. Given our experience with these dishes, we won't bother to go back again. A pretty disappointing restaurant. Obviously, YMMV.
Though it's the closest Chinese place near me, I've always preferred this place as opposed to any other in the area. The food always tastes excellent, and I've never once had a problem with them. No other place I've gone to (both the place on beachside and a few places in Ormond) can match the quality this one, Joy Luck Garden, provides.
I love the shrimp & veggies, fresh every time. The wonton soup is great.
And the egg rolls too.
We ate here for lunch and both our meals were honestly gross. I’d say probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ate yet.
