Julia Harris, MD reviews
12The staff and Dr. Harris is very courteous and I will be given the most efficient health care to my satisfaction at each one of my appointments.
Ms Harris and her team are great! Been seeing her for 12 years, wouldn't change!
Thank You Team.
All I have to say is everybody makes me feel very welcome and I would want to come back even though nobody wants to get any of those tests that we are supposed to get
If I could give this office at 4525 Thomasson a ZERO I would.
I booked my new patient appointment on November 9 and it was for today, January 11 at 3 pm.
I arrived 20 min early and completed paperwork online before appointment.
After waiting almost an hour I went up to front desk and asked if there was a problem the doctor was so behind.
The girl at the front check in and 3 other people just looked at each other with no response. After a minute of looking at her computer she asked if I could come next week. I told her no and that I was on time and asked why I would have to come back. Some how it was the computers fault and a guy there said she takes her last appointment at 3.
I was at 3 I told him.
The girl at desk offered me Friday. I told her I could not because I rescheduled an appointment for Friday to keep me from possibly being late. NO apology.she said" well, you could take one of two appointments I offered or you don't have to come back. "
I was dumbfounded that she actually has a job there.
I told her "why would I even want to come here after this? "
I turned to walk out and she said. "ok, Byyyeee! "

Everyone was great. They were prepared, organized, and really know what they are doing. Very short wait. Dr Harris is a fine, caring, professional who thoroughly explained everything and did not rush. I am very pleased with this practice and staff and highly recommend!
I am extremely grateful for the comprehensive and compassionate care I received from Dr. Harris. She put my mind at ease and presented me with an excellent treatment plan. Highly recommend!
Do not go here if you care about your health. You will never see the doctor only a ARPN. My wife was given a medicine that could have caused her kidney failure, luckily the pharmacist informed my wife and informed her that he has reached out to Dr. Harris by phone and email to prescribe to her another medicine but she never answered. We have changed doctors now and no longer go there.
I have been a patient here for over 10 years and the practice has progressively declined. I have experienced hostile and rude receptionists (not all are so but I have encountered several) and don't alert their patients over policy changes. The medical professional I saw in August of 2020 is no longer there so when I went to refill my prescription they denied it at the pharmacy A WEEK after they were faxed by Publix! I called to ask for a refill of one month before I could see them in June of 2021 (2 months prior to my annual appt) and they informed me they couldn't do it because patients need to be seen every 6 months now for maintenance medication (which had never occurred before). I asked why I wasn't alerted about this change since I have been going there for 10 years and the receptionist, May, goes "what? You think we can call everyone for an appt we would be calling all day! " I will be looking for a new office with a commitment to doing what is best for the patient and their health.
I do not care for this group but needed a physician in the area. Office staff is pleasant, great turnover in PA so never really got to know one in 4+ years. Dr Harris refers only to Millenium physicians, slow to report COVID-19 test results, seems they always try to get you in for another $$ appointment only to refer to another Millenium physician or facility. So far, referred physicians share the same disinterest as this staff. If I got really sick, I’d either go to a walk-in clinic or go directly to a hospital.
Always felt I was not treated properly by this office, the front office and Rachael especially but the physicians as well. In my 3 years under their care 2 of my favorite physicians left. I don't know the story behind it but given what I've experienced with the other two, longer term physicians I'm not surprised. Both the office and physicians were always quick to remind me "cause my insurance" but I had no trouble getting approved for referrals and treatments just sometimes they didn't want to do the referrals themselves. With all the mentioning of insurance all the time they had no issue charging my insurance $227 for short 15 minute routine visits. You'd think with how much they're charging they'd be a little nicer? Overall the care itself was good under the physicians I liked, that are no longer there, but the environment there seems terrible.
At my wellness visit in October Dr. Harris and the Nurse spent a lot of time telling me what could not be addressed at a Wellness Visit, or she wouldn't get paid. Be aware of this practice. Along with the Wellness Visit, they are paid for EKG and other screening that are covered, as well as an office visit. The total charge for the day was $472.00. I have had more care from a Walk in Clinic for less than that. When I arrived at the office that day they were aware it was for my Annual Wellness Visit, yet they proceeded to ask for a Urine sample which was then sent to Quest. A few months later I get a bill from Quest for $47.00 for the test which was not covered. I have no idea why they would do a test that I did not need and there was no medical reason for. I had asked prior, to not do any test that were not covered by Medicare unless I agreed. The whole practice is based on how many times they can keep you coming back and how to pay for the facility and support. I was a concierge patient for three years and finally realized that they only person benefiting from that was Dr. Harris.
Warning! Do not go to this office if you want to be treated nice and your time is important to you and others respect it. Apparently Rachel runs the show!
RACHEL, the office manager has an ego problem, is extremely rude and could care less about your time! She snapped at the check in receptionist and threw the paperwork at her and then snapped at me because I preferred to wait for my IDS and I DIDN’T SIT DOWN WHEN SHE TOLD ME TO! Hmmmmm and then she checked me out without ever seeing a doctor unbeknownst to me or the nurse. So I never got to meet any of the staff except a nice young man who was filling in and the receptionist lady at check in.
Unbelievable. This was my initial appt at this Dr Office! After waiting 1.25 hours to Not see the PA I just finally walked out!
Unfortunately one couldn't pay me enough to go to this office ever again and frankly after this experience they wouldn't want me as their patient. So it's mutual! Good thing I have a choice and can decide which doctors to visit. I feel awful for those who do not have a choice/option and have to stay within network.
As for the office, it is more reflective of a low budget walk in clinic and not very welcoming.
Sadly, not worthy of even this one
