Jungle Island reviews
18What an absolutely amazing day we had. The park is breathtakingly beautiful! The animals were very clearly well cared for and well loved! We couldn't say enough about the animal experiences! What an incredible day we had especially with the lemurs and the sloths. Our animal trainer was phenomenal! We totally loved getting to know him and the animals better. The animal experiences are definitely worth every penny.animal experiences are definitely worth every penny We were very impressed with every one we met that worked there- Everyone so committed, positive, helpful, and kind. Also, the evening Luminoso show was phenomenal An absolute must see. Thank you everyone for your commitment to animals and their well-being. Thank you also for providing absolutely gorgeous facilities.
The Vivaldi Candle Light Concert at Jungle Island was a listening pleasure, the stage was beautiful, the staff was friendly and professional and the weather was very pleasant. We truly enjoyed the experience.
Went during the day and it was super depressing. The locked animals looked in horrible condition.
Violins cello, and Viola were great, songs were great. Easy to do experience very pretty as well.
This was expensive and super boring. The acrobatic show was not good. People were walking out after 5 minutes the show is only 30 minutes. It took us only
20 minutes to see everything lit up. There was no food available after 730. Eat before you go. 100 bucks for 2 adults and a child we came from palm beach for this and it was not worth it. Save your money and time. Also the animals were put away except for a few birds.
SCAM SCAM SCAM! Stay away!
Taking this opportunity to write a word of warning. We bought tickets to a Jungle Bells show that was during Xmas time at Jungle Island. They stay / visit at Jungle Island as such was nice but the actual event was a non-ticketed event. We had paid over $150 for tickets for a show that did not require any tickets to enter. We were extremely confused and applied for a refund and got a response that the fraudulent tickets are non-refundable according to their terms and conditions. Running it now with the credit card company and if needed, will pursue legal action against Jungle Island. It's not a lot of money but I do not tolerate scammers.
I think it is overpriced for what it is. We just did the walk through to see the animals but it was nothing spectacular, after 1 hour our 8 year old was ready to leave. The sculptures they had going inside the trails were nice but.but for the price of the ticket+ $15 parking
I went last year in November! It was amazing and the area was very clean. The wild life is so beautiful and very exotic. I purchased the experience with the lemur encounter. It was AMAZING! It felt like a dream. The lemurs were clean, friendly, and I can tell very loved. Ryan was our guide for the lemur encounter, he has so much love and compassion for animals. He warned us before what to be careful of and he was very kind and helpful. Thank you for offering this amazing experience I will always cherish it. Make sure to bring snacks and plenty of water. Jungle Island is very fun and perfect for animal lovers and children. Thank you.
We had such a wonderful experience here, much better than I expected. Because I care about animals and the environment generally, I was concerned that this would be like a typical zoo - more about making money than caring for and educating the public about animals. I was so happy to be mistaken. We also paid extra to get to personally visit with the lemurs. Our guide for the experience was named Selvin. Honestly between how knowledgeable and caring our guide was and how fun it was having these adorable animals climb all over us, even on our heads, I’m sure we’ll carry these happy memories with us forever.
**A Disappointing Experience at a Popular Tourist Attraction**
**1. Ticketing Process: ** The convenience of online ticket purchasing is undermined by the requirement to join the long queue for entry, alongside those buying tickets on the spot. This process seems inefficient and counterintuitive, diminishing the purpose of online ticketing.
**2. Animal Welfare Concerns: ** A particularly distressing observation was the apparent discomfort of the animals in the cold weather. This raises concerns about the overall well-being of the animals and the quality of care provided, which is a crucial aspect of any ethical wildlife attraction.
**3. Hidden Costs: ** Visitors should be wary of additional charges that are not transparently communicated on the website. This lack of clarity in pricing can lead to an unexpectedly higher cost of the visit, which may affect the overall experience.
**4. Alternative Recommendation: ** For those seeking a more serene and natural experience at a lower cost, I recommend visiting the Fairchild Botanical Gardens. It offers a peaceful environment and a chance to connect with nature, without the burden of hidden charges.
**Conclusion: ** Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this attraction, especially for those who value transparent pricing, efficient processes, and the ethical treatment of animals.
Worst experience ever. We paid 100$ + tax for only 2 little kids to play in the tree top trekking. They don't tell you that is only 2 laps, so you pay 100 for only 10 minutes of play, because the little kids circuit is really short. When I spoke with a manager they didn't give an answer. They don't do refunds and they didn't allow the kids to continue playing. So, be aware before coming.
A spectacular place where you can see beautiful illuminated exhibitions and see exotic animals in their habitats.
It is a nice plan to do, alone, with friends, family or on a romantic date.
You will find food and drink shops, and Asian crafts
The show was the highlight make sure you see it. There was one cockatoo that was awesome and talked with us. The light sculpture things were beautifully made. I never been a fan of these kind of places but I ended up enjoying it.
We did the treetop trekking. This $hit is scary! Caution Not for the light hearted. We knew we were safe but that fear of falling is definitely present. Overall amazing adrenaline rush experience.very happy we did it.
This was my first time visiting this venue and it was fabulous! I was amazed and in awe of every display. Because it was a weekday visiting after work, we missed some the sights. The displays that we did see did not disappoint.
Absolutely avoid this place at all costs. First they fleece you to enter, then they tell you no personal photography because they expect you to pay again to buy the photos they take. They wont allow video of half the events because they also take their own pictures. They do not tell you this either when buying tickets, even when you walk up to purchase tickets with a very very visible camera around your neck.
Absolute robbers
The animal encounters were great even though my husband’s sloth encounter ended up being 20 minutes instead of 30. However, the park overall is quite small and we didn’t appreciate the prices for everything else, including $15 for parking and $55+ to purchase our animal encounter photos. The gift shop was also overpriced.
Very disappointed. Overpriced and rundown facilities. And they charge a hidden "concession fee" when you buy food.
