I had my first experience walking the natural area! Several parking spots on the non-beach side, no bathrooms, provided maps. Pretty for walking with plenty of greenery, views, lots of birds with amazing voices, horseflies and bees:) Wear bug spray and sunscreen. Different levels of terrain including deep sand, dirt, and paved areas. A portion of the trail I happened to take was deep sand which made it difficult for jogging. Worth a short trip!

The roar and the absolute certainty the Atlantic will win this one, is immediately reminding. Great place to take breakfast. Big Smile!

Having lived in Juno Isles from ~'85-'88, from our home on Ascott, a short walk around the corner opened an access into this stunning environment. As often as I could, I'd hike this dunes area, accompanied sometimes by my then 6-yr-old daughter. We delighted in the terrain, the flora-native oaks, "air plants, " and the occasional Sabal palmetto along with a pine forest where lived a camper who'd pitched a tent-and fauna that included gopher tortoises, indigo snakes, scrub jays, foxes, etc. I am grateful to the county for preserving what I always was the last southern-most tract of native scrub on the east coast.

Beautiful place but the turtle museum is under construction and not worth the visit this year.

Beautifully maintained natural area.
Concrete sidewalk covers the first section of the wildlife walk. Watch out for wildlife and Cactus that might be a little too close as you meander the pathway.
Various signs of wildlife will be evident so watch your step and be careful.
A small covered lookout gives you a break before you enter the sand trail part of the journey, a few benches give some rest.
The trail wanders up and down but is easy to traverse. You don't need boots but avoid flip flops because the Cactus can surprise you when you least expect.
Parking is limited to say the least, try a weekday if you can.
Great walk for kids and adults to experience the outdoors in a safe way.

Great hiking trails! Bring plenty of water. Enjoy the views and nature. Parking is free and the location is easy to find.

Very nice natural area. There are only a few spots where buildings in the distance fade away and you’re immersed in wilderness, but it’s also in a fairly developed part of town. Saw a surprising amount of wildlife on short walk including tortoise, rabbit, butterfly, plenty of birds and some large colorful tree lizards.

Very nice natural area with plenty of plant life. Word of advice is to definitely wear bug spray as some of them can be bothersome. Really cool observation tower where you can look out at the lake.

This is a beautiful area with much to offer. Lots of trails, wildlife, and waterfront. In the hotter months, bring lots of water.

Very interesting views. Cool place to walk. But there is a problem with nature in Florida - shrubs on flat sandy terrain. In summer it is very hot here and there is nowhere to hide from the sun. But the walk will be very interesting here you can find many varieties of shrubs. True, I still advise you to come here in winter because it is not so hot at this time of the year

Great place to stop when you’re out on the boat. There are day docks to use and plenty of trails to explore!

We enjoyed the nature hike a lot. Only did 1.2 miles of the Yellow trail but the walking is flat and easy. Just a pleasant walk nothing spectacular but would do it over agin anytime

Awesome park for a hike or whatever you want. I thought it’d be busy, but there is plenty of space for walking, not much of a parking lot though.have some buggys for the trail also.will return when I’m traveling by.
