Living here is a great experience the staff is very good at what they do the residents are very respectful and they get the job done

Was fast and friendly with a maintenance request, Staff was very helpful. And met my expectations to my needs as an resident

***READ THIS BEFORE APPLYING FOR THIS APARTMENT. *** If I can describe this place in one word it’s unprofessional. Their website has the incorrect prices and they have no units available even though their website states otherwise, they decided to disclose this after the application was filled out. They are literally listing units on the site for 1199 so they can bait you to apply so they can keep your application fee and admin fee they charge you. After sending them my paystubs I already included in the application three separate times…They said my application could not be approved because I didn’t make enough income and that I needed to provide more income or another applicant needs to sign. They then decided to state the price is actually 1400 for two bedroom and their “upgraded apartments” are just lamented flooring. Big red flags already this early on. I believe every bad review here. I will not be moving forward with this application. And honestly after wasting my time money they should provide a refund after the false advertisement they used.

STAY AWAY FROM KARA WEST!

It’s been a month and a half since we requested repair service/emergency assessment after a portion on the living room/kitchen ceiling came down due to Hurricane Ian (Sept 28th). We tried to contact the office through email every week to get updates on the service requested and they never gave us a day or anything, alleging that we were not the only tenants having that issue.

After the first month, I was getting headaches on a daily basis and on Thursday Nov 3rd, I started to feel bad, got sick and passed out during work. That’s when I realized that something really bad was going on.

On November 8th I went to see the property manager at the office, she was very nice to me and said that she was going to speak to the owner of the building to let him know what’s going on and she will get back to me on the following days.

On November 11th, two other portions of the ceiling came down exposing mold on the drywall and spreading the blown-out insulation throughout the apartment unit. Everything got contaminated and I left the apartment for the weekend because I had trouble breathing and headaches started again.

They DON’T care about the tenants, they are super good at collecting rent but inefficient and irresponsible with the their tenants.

If you care about your health and life quality, STAY AWAY FROM KARA WEST!

I have been living here two years come December 2022 I’am impressed with the services that I get from the office as well as the maintenance I have seen tremendous amount of improvement since Desimen residential has took over and brought the property. My apartment is spacious and comfortable I enjoyed my balcony view. I’m looking forward to the ongoing improvement of the property we supposed to get pressure washing and new paint I can’t wait to see the outcome of that I’m sure it will be very nice. Keep up the good work guys. Now we just need the residents to help keep the place clean.

I just moved to Kara West all the way from Chicago. It was a very stressful experience but Desari in the leasing office was very helpful and patient with me. I was nervous because I had never seen the apartments in person but I was pleased once I arrived. The unit was very nice and modern. I love the kitchen very much! It is spacious and has brand new appliances. The maintenance crew is very friendly and helpful. Overall I am pleased with Kara West!

Since I been here I have seen alot of changes for the better and the manger that they have here now she is awesome and amazing along with her staff and maintenance crew

Everything broken, trash everywhere, leaking from wall into my apartment at begining of lease has now destroyed the wall, door, and all wooden bedroom furniture because maintenance just gave up trying to fix it. Pest control is a joke, a guy comes in and places a few traps and never comes back. Complex is a DISASTER. Residents leave trash heaps everywhere which does not help with the horrid pest problem. Takes very long to get management to care about anything other than tacking on any extra fees they can. Loud music playing through parking lots at all times of nights, cars plowing through the lots you must be very careful they drive very fast and reckless. And Don't let the nice reviews from the residents trying to win money off their rent, that's still paying for the good reviews! Don't waste your time just waiting until the lease is over so we can get away from this horrible place!

I love my apartment i have been with you guys for 6 years they get the job done in time i love my new property manager cause the old ones sucks but the new ones i love them anything ask for they fix i never had wait to long when they back up with work oders they will stop what they doing to help if they can.and my building i love my neighbors

Maintenance sucks. Pests. Trash is always everywhere, looks very dirty. Why are rent prices so high when the apartment complex looks the same from years ago? ! 3/10

I wish if I could give a negative star. Terrible terrible terrible service. I almost head a heat stroke in this apartment. Just moved in and paid the rent from 22nd of July 2022. Till 26th the AC is not working at all along with so many other issues.and raised concerns since the 1st day. Still the service team did not even have a look at it. Whenever u call them they simply don't answer. If someone loose their life in that place for their lack of interest on service they simply wouldn't care. Horrible Horrible Horrible.

Editing this review. I noticed there was a reply on the review as it has all negative reviews. Simply saying WE ARE SORRY AND WILL LOOK IN TO IT. Yet till now I am l8ving in this apartment for over two weeks and the management team have not even look into the issue at all. I called like more than 500 times to the office and I have a. Email chain with more than 30 emails sent to them. This people are simply careless.

I’d give it zero stars if I could. First, we applied back in March and could barely get ahold of someone but when we FINALLY got someone to answer after the 29th call, they told us the apartments were being renovated and would call back to let us know when one is available. Fast forward to June, nothing would be available until 3-4 months from now. But wait, there’s more…. Jennyferr emailed asking me for my previous address so she could mail our admin fee since we opped out and I proceeded to tell her TWICE that we do not have an address for the admin fee to be mailed since we moved from one state, to another. Not only did I email her with that information TWICE but I finally went up there in hopes of solving the issue and to see if something else could be done. June 7 is when I finally visited the property (since again, I made 10 calls and no one answered) and spoke to Jennyferr when I arrived. I thought it was odd that nobody could not answer the phone but when I got there there were 3 people there in office. Anyway, she was extremely rude and had a pen and paper to write my info down since she ASKED if it would be okay to get our check sent to the office and we can pick it up. Two-three weeks later we still hadn’t heard from her why? Because she no longer works there! She never left the note she wrote for the new employee about our mailing situation so they mailed the check to our previous address. This place is far from organized and we are STILL waiting for our admin fee!

Before I could even move in, somebody broke into my apartment through the window, removing a chunk of it. That was 4 days ago, no progress has been made to secure my apartment by the team. Please protect yourself and go elsewhere, Kara West will not.

The bbq was great with really amazing food. I've been living here for about 2 years I see a lot of complaints about rats I've never seen a rat in my apartment. Other than having issues with the AC everything else is okay maintenance is slow sometimes but they eventually get it done. I'm just still waiting to have my new AC installed

I wish I could give 0 stars to this place. I've tried all alternative ways of contacting this apartment. I've called, emailed, chatted and no one has been able to help us! I submitted an application last week and paid all the fees required and still I can't contact anyone about the status of my application. Just horrible!

I've been trying to get to someone in the office and NO answer! Can someone please give me a call about this matter ASAP. Thank you

This place is terrible they don’t answer the phone at all. I put in an application haven’t heard from in a month what so ever it’s feels like they just took my money and that’s it. Do not I repeat do not even bother with this apartment complex
