Kayak Excursions - Bunche Beach reviews
20Excellent company! We did a 24 rental and everything went perfect! The owner called to make sure we had everything we needed, pick up and drop off were super easy, and the kayaks worked great! We had an excellent time and will definitely rent from them again the next time we are in the area. Thank you so much!
Laura answered all our questions and had us ready to go on the spot within 15 minutes. Gave us a map and Waterproof bag to keep our belongings safe since this was a spontaneous trip and gave us all the info on all the routes we could take. Super quick process and amazing service provided. Will be coming back next time for the paddle board. I couldn't suggest a better kayak/paddle board rental service.
I had such a good experience with our guide Laura. My first time on paddleboard and she was so encouraging, no pressure she let me get through my transitions on the board as I got brave. She was full of information for any questions we asked about inflatable vs standard boards and gave us suggestions on meet up groups and how to find gear. I will definitely recommend anyone wanting to try SUP to Kayak Excursions. Thank you for a fun day ️
Had a great time with Robert as our tour guide, saw two manatees and lots of birds. It's a lot of paddling so be prepared for some physical activity.
Great kayak rental south of Sanibel Causeway, kayaks are great, seats a bit uncomfortable, life jackets so so, however the trail thru the Mangroves is great, crossing the bay by the beach to return is very shallow, you can stand up, walk around, do some shelling.
We had a great time! Robert is the bomb of guides! A beautiful and informative time. We really enjoyed it!
We had a blast on the 3 hour guided Eco Tour we went on with Mitch! He made the trip fun and educated us about the mangroves and the area. We also got to see a rare bird (Roseate Spoonbill) through our venture today! Totally worth the time! Thank you
Great, low-key kayak excursion. Jordan was funny, knowledgeable, and fun. We saw lots of manatees, including babies. Stopped at a small beach and wadded out into the water. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time. Kayak was clean. Service was prompt. We experienced so much wildlife and the sandbars are amazing. Will do again most definitely.
We had a blast with our group! Our guide Laura was helpful, informative and great! Definitely will be back!
It was an exciting adventure to paddle through the mangroves. Especially the mangrove tunnel was one of the things I wanted to see the most.
There is just one thing u guys should tell your guests. 2 of us have arachnophobia so for them it was an absolutely nightmare to paddle there and being face to face with all these mangrove tree crabs
The Eco Tour was amazing! We saw manatee and kayaking through the mangroves was very relaxing. We even got to cool off on a sandbar!
Going on the Bunche Beach kayak excursion is just phenomenal. The mangroves are up close and personal. The beach is over the top beautiful. The crew for kayak excursions are super friendly and great. 10 out of 10
Jordan was a great kayak guide. He was very knowledgeable and funny! We had a blast learning about the the different kinds on mangrove trees and salt water oysters. We came across a group of manatees, two dolphins, and several different kinds of birds. 10/10 recommend!
This kayak tour was the best we have been on! Our guide, Laura, knew her stuff and we had a great time in the sun and sand. If you go, you will see Harry. He’s waiting for fish We encountered 3 manatee VERY up close and saw a horseshoe crab. This trip was totally worth the cost. We will definitely do this again. FYI the single kayak weight limit is 300lbs. Not 220 as listed on some sites
I'd give 3.5 stars but unfortunately it's not an option so 3 it is. Ok first there is no water on site so keep that in mind after you finish and you are hot and sweaty, immediate one star subtraction. Second when we got there we were informed that we also have to fill out waivers so now we have to waste time trying to do this on our phones instead of having a simple paper to sign. Third our start time was at 10: 00 am and we reserved a 3 hour half day rental, unfortunately were delayed by a larger group ahead of us, even though we arrived 15 min early we had to wait for the larger group and didn't officially launch until 10: 15 am. Yet as we paddled away we are told see you at 1: 00 pm. So now we wonder if we even have enough time make it back as the route we were sent on took us a couple hours. Staff was nothing special, not rude but not especially helpful, tho at the end I was offered a had up out of my yak so I guess that's something. Fourth I'm being bothered by some dude on my emails to give this place a review when sometimes a word left unsaid can be a good thing.
I personally had a great time during the tour. The guide was super confident, which made us feel safe, and the views were amazing. I wasn't expecting much so I enjoyed myself. It was pricey but I'm happy to pay to have an expert navigate me through new bodies of water and the guide did make us all feel very safe. However, after seeing everyone else's reviews and retellings of their experiences online I see now that my group got the short end of the stick. Our guide was very chatty, but only gave us relevant information on mangroves and manatees for what could've been a total of 20 minutes out of the 3 hrs we spent with him. He took us to a beautiful beach, unsure of the name because he just said it was a 15 min break and disappeared until it was time to head back out. The most disappointing thing was that they told us to leave our phones behind because our guide would take pictures with his camera as we made our way through, come to find he only took 1 group photo, while I see all other groups have albums of candids and group shots of over 40 pictures. I would give anything for at least one blurry picture of me going through the mangroves. Don't let my experience deter you, looking at other reviews and other people's experience it looks like my group just got a rare dud.
Sooo much fun! Our guide was friendly, fun, and informative. We got to see lots of wildlife, especially my favorite the manatees! But be prepared, parts of the kayaking are a real workout, but worth it.
Very friendly staff. Mangroves are a great treat for those fond of nature and critters. My second time renting from them.
The experience deserves five stars, it truly does. From the mangrove tunnel to the pit stop on the ocean, everything was gorgeous. I’m knocking off a star because our guide wasn’t much of a guide. Although friendly and funny, for $80, we expected more of a tour. We were also told to leave our phones/cameras as plenty of photos would be taken. We remember two being taken and only two were posted online. I appreciated the guidance as I’m not sure I’d feel comfortable navigating a mangrove tunnel/ocean without someone telling me to, but it felt a bit more like kayaking with a friend than a tour guide and for that, $80 is a little steep.
