The nursing program is a joke to say the very least.

There are professors with criminal records, professors that claim they are doctors or surgeons and they are not, professors that don't speak English very clearly and are extremely hard to understand, there are professors here that do the bare minimum and don't "understand" why the class is struggling to stay above water.

If you have a concern or a problem, that is just too bad.

They will tell you that they care but nothing changes.

They will make excuses for their behavior.

You will have to become a professor and do their job to get through this school.

If you are interested in becoming a nurse, don't go here. The other reviews out there talking about how you will be teaching yourself is true. This place is shady and crooked, you have no idea and you don't want to know. Just don't put yourself through it. I transferred out of there and I am so much happier now.

Do not go to this place for nursing. I regretted my choice to go to this school every single day. It is overpriced for the education that you will receive, if you receive any education at all. I am paying to teach myself nursing. Period. I am 100% paying an insane amount of money to teach myself nursing. If you find that you are not learning, that is your fault, even though you are not being taught and you are paying THEM to teach you. It is your fault. They tell you that their number one priority is the students. There number one priority is themselves. Don't get me wrong, there are less than a handful of professors that don't know any better and they don't realize what they have gotten themselves into, but when they do wake up, they leave. If you go to someone in confidence, your name will be dragged through the mud to every single professor.
The director of nursing, the president and the dean act like everything is roses and rainbows. They tell people what they think they want to hear and god forbid if someone confronts them. Speaking of the director of nursing, get ready to be beyond disappointed with your clinical sites. They have nursing students that are about to graduate and nursing students that just started in horrible nursing homes that I wouldn't send my worst enemy to. These students don't need to be in nursing homes, they need to be in hospitals and clinics where they get REAL experience in a PROFESSIONAL environment, with a variety of specialties and settings, where they are being taught the PROPER way to do things. Not in some hole in the wall where they are not taking care of patients and don't have supplies, gloves, hand sanitizer or even pillow cases for their patients. It is insane! The president is rude and arrogant. He is impossible to talk to and he really should be a politician, because he never answers questions with a yes or a no. He can't admit when he doesn't know something. He gets very frazzled when backed into a corner with questions by students that really know what is going on. The dean, Director Pascoe and President Gibbons are like broken records, they will just repeat the same thing over and over, not really answering the question, not addressing the real problem and attempting to manipulate the conversation by changing the topic. They are not ACEN accredited. They are also on probation because of their NCLEX scores and they are not disclosing this to incoming students and they never sent out letters that they were legally obligated to send to all nursing students notifying them of the situation because it has the potential to negatively impact the students.
Several students that are currently enrolled in the nursing program are reaching out to other universities to try and find a way out.
This is by far the most unorganized, unprofessional and down right ridiculous facility/school/organization/business I have ever had the misery of dealing with. Go literally anywhere but here. I don't know how these people sleep at night.

I LOVE this University! The team of Professors and staff that I work with have made me feel like I was at home! They are very helpful, friendly and caring and I haven't had that type of atmosphere in a long time! I drive over an hour to get to New Port Richey every day to come to work and it does not bother me one bit because I enjoy being here on campus. Someone once said that "when you are working at a job and you realize that you love what you do, it is at that moment that you also realize that will never have to 'WORK' another day in your life! " That is how I feel about Keiser University, New Port Richey. Thank you, Keiser University for allowing me to be part the team!

Keiser University Is the most amazing school! The teachers and staff are so positive and caring. Everyone there wants you to succeed, and pushes you to reach your goals. I recommend this school to everyone! A very special thank you to Ms. Hart for being the best teacher. She is truly remarkable, I’ve learned so much knowledge and even gained tons of confidence in myself.

I honestly don't know where to begin. There are so many things wrong physically and morally with this so called school. The so called professors must have been found in a warehouse of rejected professors, they are literally unprofessional and uneducated. It's pretty sad when a student has to literally correct a professor on a daily basis. All the hard work and good grades the students get don't mean s**t to them. They build you up just to knock you down. I DON'T recommend this school to ANYONE especially the medical assistant program. They don't care about anyone's education they only care about money. What a fraud a rip off. STAY AWAY FROM THIS "SCHOOL".

I was enrolled in a BSN program at a different university and decided to give Keiser a look to maybe consider switching. This past Friday 6/14, I dedicated the day to checking out local schools. Let me start by saying what a waste of 2 1/2 hours.
Here it goes. I spoke with Roxanne and spent an hour of anwering interview and personality like questions. Throughout our conversation she would repetitively ask "do you understand, " but she asked so much, I had to stop her and say, "look I completely understand everything you are saying, though I don't think you understand my questions or what I am saying". I was asked to take a 12 min test to see if I qualify for the school, which is fine, but I told her repeatedly that I didn't want to take the test, apply or pay any fees until my transcripts could be reviewed and I could provide my Veterans affairs vocational rehabilitation counselor with an hypothetical educational planning map that I need to provide for approval to attend. I was told that after the test it would be provided. After the test I was asked to pay a $55 application fee and get this $140 for financial aid fees for them to sit down with me and look at my transcripts and provide what I needed to give VA before they would approve me to attend here. Once I told her that, the response was "oh" and at this point I'm annoyed and remind her she wasn't listening or understanding me and that, that transcript eval is what I needed the whole time. "We don't do that, " she says. I respond really, ok this has been a complete wastr of time and that's odd because every university I've been to/attended from California to Tampa have been able to do so, regardless if it was a prelaid out format, but apparently they were willing to work a bit to gain my business and guaranteed funding from VA. She storms out of room, I guess her true colors showing and very unprofessionally says, "you know what, Ill be right back. " Are you kidding me, we are at 3 hour mark of completely wasting my day and I decided to leave before she even came back to room. I left thinking, really? This did not go anyway planned and I would never consider this campus due to this experience before even being a student. She seemed to be on auto pilot during the entirety of my visit and quite obviously did not care to pay attention to my questions, concerns or needs. But she did make it very clear of the $55 fee and the $140 fee. Whereas she quite obviously does not understand being a VA student, my funding is covered by VA, including whatever ridiculous fees like financial aid (never heard of a school charging for financial aid services). Therefore had I been irrational enough to want to sign up here, those fees would not be coming out of my pocket. Way to go at providing such a unprofessional experience and losing a prospective student.

Entire Keiser University is a crooked way to charge you way too much for a career diploma you can get at a community college and have you swallowed by student loans. I recommend not going. An 18 month program has left me 26,000$ in debt with FULL financial aid. The books are a minimum 150$ for one class, and there is one class a month. And they have people HELP you put that debt on your shoulders. Please take my advise and don’t. You do not want to be in this position I promise you.

I am a current student at Keiser NPR. I have had nothing but good experiences for the last 8 month. Any questions or problems I have had, have always been answered. Kelly in FA is great, same goes with Matt when I spoke with him during the admissions process. So far I have thoroughly enjoyed all of the staff and teachers here at Keiser.

I love their scheduling and classes are great. Professors are top notch. One thing though. Its a career school. With that being said, once you start here it is best to finish here since some credits have issues transferring, but thats most schools. If you plan on transferring credits make sure that they have the same accreditation. It is expensive, but they have open times to use their resources and have excellent staff to assist you. As long as you know what YOU want, they can help and enjoy doing it.

Keiser University is an amazing school to work for. As a former college student myself, its nothing compared to a "traditional" college. Everyone is hands on the moment a student decides to attend Keiser. Starting with the admissions team, financial aid, the registrar and the list goes on! It is truly a blessing to witness how everyone works together to ensure the success of every student! For those who are looking for a smaller school setting, guidance, and most importantly, to feel like a person, and not just a "number" Keiser is the right place for you!

I am enjoying my time at Keiser University. I am in the Associate In Science in Medical Administrative Billing and Coding, Online. Which I love because it is at my own pace and I love being self taught with no pressure! I am pursuing my second degree because I felt that I needed another avenue to better my chances at getting that dream job of mines which is to stay at home and work from it. I got my first degree in 2012 in Bachelors Degree in Human Services Management, Online. (DID I MENTION I LOVE ONLINE SCHOOL). I am a Certified Nurse Assistant and I have been taking care of people for over 20+ years and I wanted a change and I thought by getting my first degree it would change, but no luck. That is why after thinking 6 years long and hard about pursuing my second degree I wanted something that will give me flexibility and of course no loans but that is not reality.:) I have loans and you know what it is okay because one can never lose what they learn and is being taught. Continuing Education for me is important because I am learning and I am teaching my kids and grandchildren that ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! NO MATTER THE AGE ONE IS! That is why I said I am going to do this one more time and make it happen for me and my family which support me 100%. I have five children and two grandchildren and a loving husband of 22+ years and going. They love me and they support all of my crazy decisions and so forth. Thank you TO MY FAMILY and Keiser and thanks to the instructors that I have met and still meeting. Plus, I love the leadership classes they give me a lot of insights on things that I needed clarification even without me asking. Thank you Student Services, Marianne! And of course the staff at Keiser University in New Port Richey, Fl. Thank you.:)

I am currently in the MA program here at New Port Richey campus, and I love it! Ms. Hart has been nothing but great for the 4 short months that I've been there and has really taught me so much about the medical field. She is understanding and considerate of my busy life outside of class which is very much appreciated. Very happy with my experience at this school!

I take online classes off-campus and classes on-campus as well. Both experiences have been positive, especially online. The Keiser Live feature for online courses has been beneficial for the learning process. Also with the help of wise and amiable professors, such as Nancy Conway, I feel like my education is moving towards new heights.
