Kimpton Winslow's Bungalows, Key West FL

This is our 2nd time staying at Kimpton Winslow's Bungalows. Really like the location. Close to all the action on Duval but without the noise. Really appreciated Ashwin's help with getting us the room we stayed in last time. The hotel offers free bicycle rental and there is a yoga mat in the room if you feel in need of a mental cleanse from whatever you saw the night before. Will definitely be back.

Very disappointed by our stay. The resort was very dirty, not as advertised, and EJ at the front desk was rude.

This place is terrible. Such a disappointment compared to other Kimpton hotels. Mold in bathroom, on AC, etc. Pools very unsanitary. The workers didn't care to help with our issues. The dude at the front desk, CJ was the worst part of the entire stay.

Stayed for a week. Every single staff we came in contact with was super nice! Not once did I get a hint of a rude attitude. Wife is allergic to mold. No mold in our room. Yea, towels run out. Ask for more. I would suggest the pool bartender call the front desk for more when asked. We stayed in what was once the Delgado Mansion. My wife and I each saw the ghost in our room. Nothing scary, just looked like a shadow walking across the room. Breakfast was more than sufficient. Wish they had better happy hours (only food was chips and salsa) or updated the bar’s chalk board with any specials. It’s a dog friendly hotel. Saw numerous guests with their dogs by the pool, which was nice. Grounds were nice and kept up as well. Be careful of the coconuts falling into the pool from the tree. We would definitely stay there again! Thank you to the staff for creating a welcoming environment.

EJ is so rude and condescending. We did not have towels in our room so we requested towels. We've been here for two days and still no towels. I requested towels and EJ acted like my request was outlandish and treated me like a child. The pools are all disgusting, straws and cups and garbage littered everywhere, a nasty film on top of the water, and black slime on the inside of the pool on the tiles. The location is great and the grounds are beautiful. Our room was tiny, no room to even open our suitcase. We probably would have looked past the other issues but EJ took this over to the top for me by being rude and condescending. One star all the way.

Staying at this hotel ruined our anniversary trip. We didn't have clean towels or clean bedding, even after requesting multiple times. The pools are not usable because they are filled with scum. And the worst of all of it was the front desk 'manager' named EJ - he was incredibly rude to us on multiple occasions. Looking back, we wish we would've checked out in the first day and went anywhere else, but we kept hoping it would get better. It only got worse. Look elsewhere.

I enjoyed staying here, the property is very nice and the staff were all helpful and friendly. My only complaint would be the structure of the bungalow that we stayed in was clearly in need of repair. The room smelled damp and some insects were in the room; HOWEVER - We are in the Florida Keys and water damage and bugs come with the territory so this wasn't a big deal to me. The bed was pretty comfortable and the property was quiet. The continental breakfast didn't offer much - Bananas, muffins, hard boiled eggs, & instant oatmeal. I didn't care for the pools but if you're expecting something extravagant, don't. There are two pools but both are very small, if you care about that sort of thing. I wouldn't recommend this place for children, though I did see a couple there.

Stayed here for a week and had an amazing experience. The staff are all wonderful and EJ was super accommodating of our lab who is 13 years old. Love how pet friendly all kimptons are and always stay with them because of this. The passion fruit shanty that they offer is also a must try. 20/10 would recommend to anyone staying on the island

Wonderful setup, we had a very nice stay here. The place is quiet and nice. The only thing that needs improvement is the breakfast. Some boiled eggs, some fruits and a decent coffee machine would make this a truly 5 star experience. I still gave them 5 stars, as this is rather a management decision than staff.

Not sure how this place has any bad reviews but based on my room #41, it was great. Great AC, everything worked and was very clean. EJ at the desk was phenomenal, very helpful at check in. I work for another hotel chain and was very impressed by this property. Seems like people don’t check websites before they come to check in based on other bad reviews. Most of the things people complained about were clearly listed on the website. The only thing missing for me, was no soda/water vending area. Quick walk to CVS fixed that.

Recently stayed here and it was so perfect. We stayed in the King patio suits and they were so cool! The grounds were beautiful and the staff was great! Shout out to Ernesto at the front desk for our daily refreshments and laughs!

Very cute hotel. We had a room on the second floor near the smaller pool and glad we weren't any closer to the pools due to noise from children. The rooms were very comfortable but could use a paint touch up here and there. But very clean as all Kimptons are. Also had the porch area to ourselves with a little table. Nice to have that extra space outside.
The pools really were nice even if a bit warm. I imagine it's just the size versus the extreme Temps in that area.
The staff was very friendly and gave us great recommendations for snorkeling and other points of interest.
Location was perfect. Small walk to Duval and again, nice to be "off strip" as to avoid noise and congestion.
Would absolutely stay here again.

I have been staying at Kimpton properties (IHG) at some of the best destinations in US and Europe. I have a credit card and very high costumer profile. Front desk would not accommodate late check out for my pregnant wife and I, flight departure 3: 00 pm. I am loyal to this brand in many ways. I do this for very simple easy to accommodate perks. After 5 nights here not to extend a checkout by couple hours is insane! Will not come back.

My wife and I stayed here and it wasn’t at all what we thought we booked.
As soon as we checked in the desk “supervisor” EJ was very rude.
The room wasn’t even clean when we entered, the dry wall was wet and patched very poorly and the smell was awful.
House keeping came maybe once we had to ask for clean towels multiple times
The outside bar and pool are nice it says they have food options they don’t. Hotel is in a very convenient location easy to walk places, but they’re way nicer options in key west to stay.

EJ at the front desk is amazing! Note to hotel management, he is worth his weight in gold!
