Kindness Animal Hospital (West), A Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner, Cape Coral FL

In order for us to get our dog groomed here, they require a $175 “wellness check. ” We followed their rule, and paid both the wellness visit fee and the grooming fee. 2 weeks after the session, we found a tumor on our dog that came back positive for cancer. We couldn’t believe it. It has been a year, and after surgery, our dog is well. We went to book another grooming for him this week, and they again reminded us we owe another $175 for another wellness check…
We explained amount situation, and asked to not be charged for another check this year. They said no. Extremely disappointed, not that they have this policy with this large fee, but that it seems to just be a money-grab and that your dog will not actually see the vet. The tumor we found on our dog’s private area was easy for us to miss in daily life, but VERY obvious if a vet even glanced at him.

Every employee that we encountered at Kindness Animal Hospital just loved on our puppy! This was our first visit, and we could feel the love.

Extremely dissatisfied with my visit. I am in FL visiting my mother and brought her a new puppy. The new puppy tested positive for worms and it was suggested that both of my dogs get tested just in case. I had no issues with this. I was told they needed a wellness exam in order to have their fecal tested- again no problem with this. They did not charge me for a wellness exam. Instead they charged me for two sick visits (neither of my dogs are sick). All they did was check them over. Both of their samples came back clean (again I was not surprised, they are on preventative). I was not told my total and was told I was getting an emailed receipt. Did not get it. I checked my statement to find out I was charged just shy of $400! $400 for two dogs both under 10lbs who were not sick- only there for a WELLNESS exam and to get their stool checked. Completely ridiculous and unacceptable. This is more money that I pay for their yearly checkup, vaccines, and heartworm check! I like having a backup vet to take my girls to when I visit my mom. Needless to say we will never return to Kindness.

I dont know what happened to this place but when you quote me for $1500 for a dental cleaning for a dog under 25lbs, we have a real problem.

Also after leaving this place i came to learn others offer a 6 month alternative to heartguard nexguard for a fraction of the cost. Im pretty sure kindness makes some sort of commission hustling their customers, which I am gladly not a part of anymore.

My first time visit to this animal hospital. Dr Richard Bell and Mercedes and the rest of the team made sure that my dog is comfortable. Very caring and professional team. Highly recommend!

Great customer service, very helpful staff, great doctors. We have a dog that is prone to pancreatitis, the vets here are very understanding and have been superb with scheduling appointments as needed. We also use their top notch grooming services regularly. I would highly recommend Kindness to anyone.

The Dr was kind listens to the issues and was amazing with our pup! She actually looks forward to going there!

Today I took my dog there while we were on Christmas vacation. My dog had blood in her urine. The staff was sympathetic and genuinely concerned about my dog. They got me in right away and took care of my pet as if it were their very own pet. I couldn't be happier with the staff and the veterinarian. Thank you for caring and for your outstanding service.

Absolutely the BEST! Not only are they friendly and kind, they explain in detail every aspect of my cat's health. After taking him in for urinary issues I received a call a few days later to follow up on text results and our game plan for the future. Exceptional service, pricing, and people.

I have always had positive things to say about everyone, every times I’ve had to bring one of my two dogs to Kindness Animal Hospital, which has been about 3 years I believe. However - this last encounter left me disheartened on acouple different levels. My 11 year beagle that rescued 4 years ago needs Thyroid medication to help manage her weight. She was almost 70lbs and she’s currently 38lbs, so she needs the meds.

At this time when called and requested a refill I was told that the vet needed to see Sadie before refills could be given.
I explained to two different people that right now, I’m trying to rebuild two uninhabitable homes (mine and my mothers) and that my business was destroyed all by Hurricane Ian. And that money was super tight and I could afford a 3-4 something hundred bill right now. I was told that would be passed along and someone would call me back. A day later I received a text that the medication was refilled.
Upon picking up the medication I was disappointed that the medication was only given for two weeks, usually the refills are for 5/6 month’s worth. When I asked why only for two weeks…. It was repeated that I needed to schedule a vet visits, blood work is wanted. Shots are due …. DID THEY THINK MY FINANCIAL SITUATION WAS GOING TO CHANGE IN TWO WEEKS. It’s an insult more then anything else giving me two weeks worth of meds. So again I had to recount my financial situation again and this time in front of a lobby of customers, which was absolutely embarrassing. It didn’t seem to faze the person taking my money cause she never looked up. I sighed, took the meds and said I guess she’ll have to go with out after two weeks and walked out. I should have just left the medicine. As I walked out another pet owner on the other side of the lobby stopped me in an effort to make me feel better and said …. “ those shots are over rated - you really don’t need to get them “. So I know everyone heard me recount my situation.

I recently went to kindness animal hospital seeking help for my dog that had a large gash in her side due to a tragic accident. I had no appointment and I'm not wealthy at all and this hospital was an absolute godsend.

Not only did they help treat my dog immediately, they did so with all the compassion and Care possible in this world. They were so polite and kind to me and more importantly they were all that and more to my dogs.

I have four dogs and I have never been to a veterinarian's office before that shows more love and patience and genuine kindness then I experienced at this animal hospital. Their name suits them perfectly actually.

They didn't seek to overcharge me and add a bunch of other things to my bill that wasn't necessary. They took care of specifically what I was there to get help for and listened carefully to my concerns so they could address specifically what I needed help with.

I have since taken one of my other dogs who needed medical attention for possible eye cancer and again they treated my dog as if he was a member of their own family.

I've never had such a positive experience at a veterinarian's office in my entire life and for the rest of my four dogs' lives.this is where I happily will be taking them for all of their future vet visits.

I can't thank this hospital enough and coming here to leave a review when I never review anything whether it's positive or negative was the least I could do for such an amazing place as kindness animal hospital.
