I called for an estimate and the person that answered the phone was extremely rude and said They did not need my business.

I was considering purchasing from this company until I spoke with the owner. He is by far the worst human being I have ever had a conversation with. He will belittle and degrade you. He is nasty and rude. Absolutely horrible customer service. I would never ever in a million years recommend this company to anyone. I now see why there are so many bad reviews for this company… this company blames others but YOU are the problem!

Here because this company is going viral on social media and based on the comments from the owner he lacks common decency and customer service skills - should not be working with the public.

Owner is very angry about being called out for his lackluster social skills and low quality product. And I believe I have seen said owner behind a dumpster with a toothless man. What ever could he have been doing?

If you're new to this, this is not the place to go. You will get your feelings hurt badly. I'm guessing I was speaking to the owner, but the guy is very RUDE! I'm not sure if it was because I'm black or he was just having a bad day. I'm sorry I wasted your time sir.

If your a person of color sadly your best option is another company you will be treated poorly and spoken to in a bogus manner … the replies to the comments speak volumes on the tone of this lousy excuse of an unprofessional business.

Also, heard this company has been in business for years and owner has always been prejudice or maybe he’s just an miserable axxhole either way don’t recommend…

I have purchased sod from several locations throughout Lee County and King Sod always has the freshest Sod. Always carefully when loading my trucks or trailers.

I called to ask about buying sod, I'm not sure if I used the right terminology, as I'm a single mom who doesn't do yard work much. The person (man) I spoke to was very rude. I thought maybe he was having a bad day, so I sent my son the very next day. Again, rude. Then I sent my sister and she got the same treatment on the phone and in person. If many of your reviews felt he was prejudice against you, I think you need to work on your customer service skills. I'm sorry if I didn't say the right things. I would think a person in the business who may be more of an "expert" could have informed me of what I was asking about. I will not give this place business ever again. Also, the way you comment back to "bad" reviews, speaks volumes of our experience with you. You have a blessed day. I hope God heals your heart.

Ken at kings sod has always had the best quilalty sod, and has always been avalible for us for over 30 years. Outstanding business owner.

These people are so rude and this place is crawling with bugs just gross and very unprofessional many Customers are talking now about how this business is just not as it was. They are loosing customers and they are giving out bad pallets and then refusing to replace a bad pallet of soil they are constantly talking back on thier reviews trying to stand up for themselves and it’s childish as they need to grow up and learn how to manage a business better. Please go back and do some research and learn how to treat others the way you would want to be treated.

Couldn't have had a more positive experience, beautiful sod at a fair price delivered to my yard in the morning before I even woke up. I had read a couple unfavorable reviews and I'm so glad I didn't let them detour me. I found Ken to be a hard working honest man that does exactly what he says he's going to do. Don't let some winers steer you from a great sod company.

Make sure you think inside your car before you go inside it's prohibited to think what you want inside his little shop or else he will kick you out with an attitude.

Your just a racist! I politely told you to attend to your customer and i proceeded to talk to my father not my boyfriend to see what we wanted to take in (Spanish) and that's when you changed your attitude towards me since you couldn't understand what i was saying. And that's why all these other reviews say the same thing that you have a attitude that's why I responded the way i did it's seems like you don't like being treated like you treat your customers!

Have been buying sod from Ken for years and have always found the sod to be the best and Ken has always treated me fair and honest. What more can you ask for

Please take heed to the reviews.there are so many great, friendly sod companies in SWFL that will take the time to educate you without calling you ignorant, or stupid. The Sod Guys off of Tice are great!

This is the rudest place in the world I advise anybody that is in the Fort Myers area I've been a resident in Fort Myers for years and called here about getting some St Augustine and the individual that answered the phone is where are you located so I can get you off of the phone I would not do no business with these people for nothing in the world and take my advice I have dealt with plenty of side companies and this person is the rudest person I've ever seen when it comes down to conducting business alert do not use

I drove from Bonita Springs and was very happy with the selection, price, service and this great guy Ken who expanded on everything. I Iiked the sink to wash up after you load and the "in and out" gates so there is plenty of room to navigate. I was laying my own sod so the pieces were manageable to load and put down. His low sun / shade variety was perfect for the North side of my house. Thanks Ken, my wife and I will reccomend you to our friends. Its great to find a place where you don't have to buy a full palette. Best to you!

When my husband came to pay and order the 2nd pallet of sod you told him to just bring back the first yellow receipt and then you would take care of the refund. I can't help it if you did not want to deal with me returning the two receipts instead of Bob. I still agree that my sod we received was great but your manners with customers need a lot to be desired. Your should read some of your other reviews. They say very similar things. And I witnessed it first hand while waiting my turn the first time we ordered sod. Your share the rudeness with others as well. I am just warning your customers to be prepared for your terrible attitude towards your customers.

Went in and got sod the guy who helped us was very nice and helpful very reasonable priced and I loved that they had a sink to rinse your hands off after loading sod.
