Kings Head British Pub reviews
15Atmosphere galore, fireplace going on this very cool evening. Service very good, great beer selection. Hamburger not the best, fish and chips Ok. Will go again for beer and maybe chips, not for dinner.
Pleasant evening, nice staff but disappointed with my fish and chips. The cod was ok but they were not chips as we know them just skinny French fry’s!
We won’t be able to get over the pond to see our family in England this holiday so I’m thankful for a little bit of home in St. Augustine. Loved the sausage rolls.
My husband, who's from England, and I were craving british food and the pub did not disappoint! The actual pub just instantly, driving up to it, made us feel like we were back there. So amazingly decorated, it was super awesome. We got a scotch egg, sausage roll, and fish and chips and they were all delicious! My husband said, "It was all awesome, most of the food was authentic and delicious but another did not meet the criteria I was hoping for but surprised me in a delightful way with their own personal take on British foods! I'd recommend if you are missing, or looking to try, some of what the UK has to offer".
Wonderful food and employees. Very cozy atmosphere. Gluten free items are marked on the menu and even the special board, which I appreciated!
Somewhat disappointed on our last visit. Very limited menu and the Curry came out cold. Saw the same happen to another table as well. Normally the meals are great.
I absolutely loved the Kings Head, an order of fish and chips may seem pricey, but when it's brought out to you, you understand why. Trinkets galore line the bar, roof, walls, and even tables all reminiscent of the beauty of England. The service was spectacular, the food was exactly what you'd hope for, and the atmosphere is relaxed and open. My one and only critique is that, in a pub, dedicated to Brittan, there was no match on! There was a T. V. It was unfortunately in a corner hidden, and turned off as well. Other than that, I loved the place, I highly recommend it!
Authentic good and atmosphere. Nice fireplace lit in winter. Pretty Xmas decorations. Tons of interesting things to look T on walls. Staff is very friendly, accommodating and consistent.
We just ate lunch here and it was wonderful. The staff was very pleasant and the food was exceptional. We’ll be back for sure!
An authentic British-owned pub! Delicious food, outstanding beer selection, great atmosphere. And of course, darts!
So, finally went to dinner here. Started with the Scotch Egg, Yum. I had Bangers and mashed potatoes, So good, cooked perfect and smothered with sauteed onions. My wife had the Seafood pie. She enjoyed the creamy gravy and pastry stick. Next time we'll try the Fish and Chips, it was massive.
It was so flavorful. I had "seafood pie". Expected a pie with crust.although the crust was a wonderful light stick.
Hubbys Bangers and mash were awesome.
Will definitely try again and try fish and chips.
So go try it, the atmosphere is wonderful, beer selection great.
Staff were great and food was on point. Sad they were out of mushy peas, but understandable when we went the weekend after losing the Queen. Portion sizes are good and food was so fresh.
Last time we were there was twenty years ago. We wanted to go and pay our respects to our Queen Elizabeth 11 on her funeral September 19th 2022.
The Pub is exactly the way we remember it twenty years ago. Great people, great beer, and of course amazing English food. Thank you Kings Head British
This was my first visit and I loved it. The food was good, the service was excellent, and the ambiance was welcoming and comfortable. I thought it was a little pricey, but overall it was worth it. I will be back.
