Kingsail Resort, Marathon FL

Every morning there was some kind of construction nearby or a coast guard plane taking off from next door so there was no peace available. No good swimming nearby, this place is good for boaters and little else.tho they did have free kayaks available, there were too many boats to enjoy the water in my opinion. The room was small, the TV didn't work, we asked for help with the remote and no one showed up t thr second day and then it still didn't work right. There was a pretty bad accident in front of the resort because traffic is crazy, restaurants nearby were closed early, I could continue but there's no need.

An older, mid century motel that has been updated. It's modest, but nice. Great location in the middle of Marathon, and it's on the back water. Has a boat dock. You can go kayaking. Good value.

Clean, cozy, quiet for the most part, and a nice room to stay in if you're visiting family or friends in the keys. Offers basic necessities and a full kitchen, dinette set for 2, fridge with freezer, microwave and we had a sweet outside balcony. Staff were very accommodating and friendly when we arrived earlier than check in. Pool area nice and right on the water with a great view of Keys nature. Very accessible to road, nearby food, and different amenities like the Turtle Hospital are close by! Highly recommend if looking for a quiet getaway.

Love this place! Go out of their way for you. Place was clean. With lots of little areas to gather with friends by the water or pool. It has the old Marathon Key charm. Rooms have small kitchens. Fridge, stove, microwave and kitchen ware. I definitely recommend this place. ️

My husband & I loved staying here! Conveniently located. Laid back. Super clean & it smells clean! Great lagoon out back where my husband enjoyed fishing while I watched a manatee. Great, friendly staff!

Beautiful resort to stay in if you're not trying to stay in The island of key West. The only issue we had was there was a water shut off for the entire island the weekend we were there and that really put a bummer into our plans of enjoying the resort.bathrooms are not working no showers no water. But this was happening to the entire island so the hotel was not at fault.

Excellent comfortable room and spacious! Just of the main road! Receptionist was excellent and gave us some local places to visit. The resort is lovely just what we needed for a few days in Florida Keys.

The room was newly remodeled and was clean. The room had a nice screened in porch. There was a pool but we didn't get to visit it during this trip. If you're looking for a clean basic efficiency this is a good option.

Room was dirty. Not a resort, was a motel. Bring ear plugs. Place is over run by roosters that wake up hours before sun up.

Why do you think the resort has SUCH a low rating?
Here's ONE of many reasons: It is agaisnt the law not to have any handrails (according to ADA act federal Law) in the shower! My daughter almost slipped. KINGSAIL RESORT IS A LAWSUIT WAITING TO HAPPEN The manager is unhelpful and sends her minions to do her dirty work, instead of doing it herself.

It is a great location but if you like furniture in your room this place is not for you. Everyone is packed into a small area.
They mention a screened in patio, pfft! Ours was full of holes, we got bitten up by mosquitos. Such a shame since Manny, Isabella and Beth are amazing. They deserve to be commended and work in a better place. My last visit was in 2014 and the place was better then! BEFORE IT GOT RENOVATED

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Centrally located. Nice size room. Great outdoor areas. Clean and well maintained. The only issue is the roosters but the hotel has no control over that. Sleep when you can because the roosters are on their own schedule.

The absolute best place to stay, there is a awesome pool, a dock and plenty to see with iguanas, birds, and various other wildlife running around. Not to mention its not far from sombrero Beach.

Very very clean. Fantastic customer service. Ample parking. Make sure to check out the deck at the back that leads to the water. Very relaxing. This is an amazing very affordable option when in the keys.
But ask for another blanket. Rooms are well air conditioned but there is not enough bedding to keep warm at night.
