Knight Transportation reviews
15Bathrooms and showers are nasty no whereto park tractor trailer the parking is unreal and and cluttered will not be coming hear again if I can help it
Their drivers are inconsiderate and blare their music late at night when trying to sleep keeping other drivers awake.
I'll say there a good company to work for. I see a lot of other people on here complaining, I'll seriously bet there just natural complainers and are probably new to trucking and think the world owes them something. And the racist stuff, Gimme a break its 2020 you can get ahead in life if you work at it. You're race has nothing to do with you being able to pass your driving test or drive trucks.
I will say there road support can be very stingy. Things like getting a tire replaced or having to scale a truck multiple times can be a nightmare and 20mins + sometimes/most of the time to get someone on the phone for authorization really is unacceptable. But really that's the only con I can think of since driving for knight. Other than that there great
One of the best companies out there. They take very good car of their people and trucks. They do all their own warranty work and really stay on top of it. If you are looking for a used truck they also sell trucks after they take them out of service. Great trucks with low mileage.
I applied with them to be an owner operator with my own truck and they had me take a road test in there not sure why, well I have driven manual transmission for years and there trucks are automatic and when you put in reverse you have to push accelerator so it made me seem as if I was a rookie driver because automatic is different from manual, I don't care what anyone say they handle different.
Great starting company if you dont have anywhere else to go. Get the amount of experience necessary to jump to another trucking company that will respect you and threat you as a value resource.
There are good thing about this place and there are son bad but I stay positive on the good great place to work!
I like the company bur their driving school has instructors that are prehudice abour muslims, hispanics, and blacks. Only one instructor that cares for you is Luis, very nice perubian person. I didnt have a good impression about their school. The DMV testers were passing the white people, eventhough they didn't do good, right infront of our eyes. Way too much commotion for a CDL school. Thet need ti have a good manager for that school. Someone that monitors their instructors. The manager of the school never care to come see what was going good or bad in the school
I dont recommend this school but i recommend knight as a good company to drive for
They are thieves, they do not pay detention pay like they say they do. I never was reimbursed my half of the pet deposit once I left. The dm’s are “fake nice” which is a little better than other companies because at least they put the forth the effort to not be miserable, however once you ask them for something they will tell you to go fly a kite. Notoriously known for lying to drivers and customers. Trucks are decent. I had about $450 worth of stuff stolen from my truck by the guy who cleans the trucks. When I was on hometime they took my stuff out of the truck because they had to sell it. It was a trade truck. When I came back all my stuff was in boxes and not everything was there.
Great place to work if you hate yourself. Get enough experience to go somewhere better. You may have to leave Florida to get into some better freight lanes. Overworked operations and terrible planning.
Everything was flawless, 3 day orientation. Matt, josh, buddy gave very detailed information about the operation and how to be successful and be apart of the Knight transportation family.
Home time has been getting worse. Always a few days late getting me home now, and miles are drying up. Not sure why things seem to be going downhill. I would still recommend Knight for a starter company.
It's okay. Showers not kept too clean, not like Houston. Saw a person off the street cone on property to air tires. Not very secure. Very ghetto at times.
My husband previously worked here for years as a director, great place to work. He attempted working at Indian River Transport and was there for about 1.5 years (they were not good to him by any means, didn't fulfill many of the promises on hire). Where as Knight Transportation was fantastic, needless to say he went back to Knight and is SO much happier for it and they really treat him fantastic and always have. They are a fantastic respectable company who value their employees and know their worth! Let's just put it this way, he's very happy to be back at knight after the experiences he had after leaving them, it seems like this is so called home away from home workplace. He definitely knows he's valued employee and won't be going anywhere again, he's worked they're since 2007 with exception of 1.5 years!
The whole terminal was dirty. Garbage cans were filled with garbage that has not been disposed for a while. Floors were not swept clean or moped. Clothes in the laundry room was scattered everywhere. Showers were not clean. Plenty of parking.
