Konan BBQ, Tampa FL

My 1st experience, which wasnt bad cause I've heard that the lines be long cause the food is great here.me being me I had to try it family owned business.only issue I had with my plate was the greens was watery tasting but everything else was omg so so good ribs falling off the bone.mac and cheese was good and listen the blueberry cake I dont know who in there family made it but I needed the whole cake and the pan of ribs too.if can order pans of ribs & whole cake I most definitely would. Cant wait to go back cause I'm definitely not letting a lil mishap with greens keep me from konan. I traveled from a different county to get get bbq.

Let me tell you. It’s exactly what you wanted, delicious, tender, mouth watering, satisfying, spectacular, full filling, wonderful FOOD! It’s just that good! The staff are welcoming friendly and fast! Go-order-enjoy! I haven’t had food this good since my grandmother passed 13 years ago!

The lemonade was great the m macaroni and cheese with salty to me and the rice is salted to me and the ribs was kind of a little bit salsa's too sweet

Our time here &ribs tender vey tasteful bakebeans taste like my mom's didn't need sauce very good we will visit again

This business is in the neighborhood my husband grew up in and has a community feel every time I go. It feels like family and the staff is friendly. The sauce is amazing and we always get extra for our rib or chicken dinner.

I heard a lot about this place, how popular the place is and how good the food is; but I'll probably never come back. It took about 30 minutes to place my order, and then another 25 minutes to get my food. Altogether, it was 55 minutes from the time i walked in the door until I got my food. The food was "ok". Didn't live up to the hype, and definitely not worth waiting 55 minutes for!

Loved your story on Bay News 9 today! I haven't had the chance to eat with you all but i truly loved hearing your story and longtime family values and tradition. I especially loved hearing about the younger ones not only wanting to pursue sports in college but also, culinary in order to carry on the family legacy Some of my favorite memories in life include working in my own family's restaurants. Keep up the great work and keep those traditions going. Hope to get over that way some day and sample some of that BBQ and other deliciousness.

My husband and I came here before the Billy Burke Healing and Miracle Service Event at the Double Tree and we came to eat a great meal here at this family owned establishment, amazing food and great atmosphere!

What a great place to get some down home BBQ and the fixins. Not your usual BBQ joint. Very family - friendly! Don't let the neighborhood or bldging deter you from eating here. Great choices, large portions and good prices. Look out for their free days.

Best bbq I've had in years. Ecstatic that I found this place. The staff is incredible and extremely pleasant.the sides are awesome too! The Mac n cheese is a must and is perfect combination with any plate. The Mustard based sauce is to die for! I plan on frequenting this establishment often.

The BEST barbecue I've ever tasted.they put BBQ King Big John's BBQ and any other barbecue spots ANY day. The portions are unbelievable. Absolutely love Konans

Amazing food, tender ribs, and pork. Sausage is great and the mustard based BBQ sauce is definitely the coup de Gras!

Lonnie took me there yesterday and I absolutely LOVE it! The barbeque sauce is the BEST I have ever had. I highly recommend this place.

If you're looking for authentic taste and it's BBQ you have found delicious the gentlemen and the young ladies that run the place are amazing and very friendly it's like walking into your uncle or Auntie's house

Best bbq in Tampa, but some of the worst service. The owner Mike Trigg is great when he's there, but the rest of the staff isn't friendly at all.

This is a horrible place. Yes the food is good but the place smells, hot, flies everywhere, and takes ages for food to be ready. They charged $8 for two large sides, look at the picture, these are no large sides and definitely not worth the $8. Also, the guy handing out the orders keeps on messing them up and looks like he has no idea what is going on. I highly not recommend this place. Go find another BBQ joint. Will not return again.

This place is no frills. Because it doesn't need them.

The BBQ speaks for itself. I got the pork and chicken combo. The sides were good. They were out of green, which I was told by a friend are absolutely amazing. They use a tasty mustard sauce as well. Give this place a try. You'll be happy you did. But remember, it's a BBQ joint, not a high-end restaurant.

I have always wanted to just go to a BBQ restaurant that felt like I was a part of a family reunion and konans have always over excited my expectations. THANKS FOR THE LOVE.
