Kraeer-Fairchild Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Fort Lauderdale FL

Looking for a funeral home, we randomly stopped at Kraeer- Fairchild funeral home, hoping to find a professional and compassionate service for my recently passed husband. An empathetic and warm staff member, Nilda, who greeted us at the door, was very helpful and reassuring in beginning this difficult process. Mark, another staff number, was a very respectful person, as I had spoken with him a number of times on the telephone throughout this process. We later met with John Lilli, Director, a most respectful and knowledgeable person. He was able to guide us through the permits, paperwork and legalities. Kraeer -Fairchild funeral home was able to tailor the service to our wants and needs. We were given choices of flowers, the actual service, food, room size, etc. I chose red flowers because that was my husband‘s favorite color. They were beautiful – roses, trumpet flowers, and orchids. We wanted a Catholic service. John Lilli arranged for a priest, Father Patrick Naughton, to officiate at the funeral home. Father was excellent. We uploaded photos of our loved ones life to the funeral home. They produced a slideshow set to music. It was perfect. We chose some of our loved ones favorite musical artists who were incorporated into this slideshow. An attractive and delicious luncheon was provided with refreshments and assortments of freshly sliced fruits and vegetables, cheeses, crackers, and decadent dessert platters. They were also instrumental in the burial process. Cremation was handled by Kraeer- Fairchild, and they helped me to obtain my husband’s military discharge papers. The service was beyond our expectations, simple but elegant. I received compliments on how beautiful was the service. I would highly recommend Kraeer- Fairchild funeral home to anyone seeking guidance for a professional, beautiful and compassionate service.

One thing I noticed that I have never seen in any other funeral home was an arrangement of my father's hobbies, and interests. It was so nice and tastefully arranged. From the day five years ago that we visited Kraeer Funeral Home to make our prearranged funeral services until the day my husband’s recent death, the service from them has been caring compassionate and thorough.i was always struck by the fact they never referred to my husband as the “body” but rather every person we spoke with used his first name. After his death we met with John Lilli and he was incredibly thorough explaining every thing I am responsible for and what they will take care of for me. When I went to pick up my husband’s ashes Mark carried him to the car for me. (They even called me with the time and date of my husband’s cremation. I was so appreciative of that call.)
