Trash place for schooling, and for work. I have no problem airing out the dirty laundry. They treat their staff like absolute garbage. Pay is bearly livable and non competitive in all departments. Students aren't getting the proper training and there is no rules or structure in place for students. The planes are trashed and falling apart and it's all because the company doesn't want to spend the money to fix them, or doesn't have the money. Don't fall for thier tricks at this place if you want to fly or want to work here. They will gladly take a students money but won't give anything worth while in return to students or the staff. They make billions in revenue but can't afford to pay staff better or provide better planes and environment for students. I blame that all on the same goofys running the school. L3HARRIS needs to run them out of the place.

I was only dropping off a new student pilot, but from what I could see and what I was told, this is one of the top flight schools in the country.
The fact that they even help with lodging & roommates, in a beautiful new set of units which are like a resort, they seem to go to the nth degree to help you succeed

We are disappointed. Our son went to this Academy. When he was done he only had 180 something flight hours. In order to fly for anyone most are requiring over 1500 flight hours. Our son now has a $1200 a month student loan, he’s single so he can’t live on his own and had to move and come live with us.because he can’t get a job in the industry to pay his loans. He has a decent job but it’s not enough to live on his own and pay those high student loans. And to keep all his certifications up he needs to rent a plane pay for fuel pay someone to fly with him just to stay certified which can cost over $700 every 90 days. Because remember he can’t fly for anyone yet.now he has a 25 year loan and no way to pay it. Because no one will hire him with those low flight hours. L3 Harris does offer instructor jobs but the pay is too low for them to survive and pay rent and have a car and get back-and-forth to work and pay their student loans. And from what I’m told the instructors aren’t necessarily guaranteed full-time hours on top of that. I feel like they take your money and you have no way to succeed after you’re done there. I will share this information with other people. Not to be mean or vicious but, Because I don’t want it to happen to anybody else. It’s horrible our son feels terrible and we feel terrible. Now he doesn’t know what to do because he has this huge bill. L3 Harris if you have any good advice or help for our son please let me know.

Disappointed in a huge company like this trying to prey on new instructors by offering them 19/hrs as starting pay. That's not competitive at all and it's predatory knowing new flight instructors need a job. 19 an hour barely allows you to live in the Sanford area. This is a sinking ship with that kind of work ethics.

Ben and team from the admissions and financial aid office made the application process a breeze.

Don’t do it.
The cirrus planes they use for instrument are in terrible shape. Extreme amounts of maintenance cancellations, instructors overall are okay, but if you get the Handful that can’t be bothered the experience can be pretty miserable. The housing they offer is almost 300 dollars over the actual amount that is the going rate for the apartment complex. The admissions and student service/financial aid workers are great. But their goal is to sell you their concept, and I dont think that concept is anything worth doing unless you really want to get your training done fast.
Oh yeah, and my loan got taken away two days after I got stuck in a year lease.
So yeah, stay away. I should of listened to what everyone told me before I came.

This is one of the top flight schools because the instructors are lost into the dynamics to help the students move forward to become a pro pilot.they have patience, they're not rushing anyone.

Quoted $75k from zero-cfi In 15 months. Finished in 14 months under the Training Course Outline in every license/rating, was hired by L3, didn’t owe a dime over my quote price, passed every checkride in-house and FAA first time. All the negative reviews I’ve read are from people who didn’t put in effort to get the job done right the first time and were looking for handouts. “Gaurenteed” job interview not is not a guaranteed job. If you have a terrible attitude, bad work ethic, and excessive checkride failures don’t be surprised when no one not just L3 doesn’t want to hire you. I recommend this school to people who are dedicated to flying, studying, keeping their head down, and mouth quiet. The management, safety team, and Human Resources are all excellent. Don’t miss out on this opportunity
