La Famiglia italian restaurant, Destin FL

I had the the speghetti and 2 meatballs. Almost the Best I have ever had. There bread and dip is awesome. My Husband had a pepperoni pizza it was very good. I totally reccomend this place. We moved here now. We will definitely be back.

This is THE place! We are from KY and found it on vacation, we return every year. You MUST get the homemade noodles. The white lasagna is delicious!

Love the music on Friday nights and pizza is always great to pair with a glass of Montepulciano.

Absolutely awesome hidden gem! I've walked by this Italian restaurant a few times this week and didn't realize how one, beautiful inside it is, and two, the food! Incredible spot, don't miss out!

My husband and I ate here tonight and the service was good and food was delicious. We went in for an early dinner as soon as they opened and they were very welcoming. No disappointments on the food and you get what you pay for. The portions are very generous and we went home with left overs. Definitely recommended when in the area.

Just finished dinner with my wife and best friends. One of the best dining experiences we've ever had. The food was exceptional (pasta dishes, salads, and bread). Our server, Valentina, was friendly, personable, and helped us first time visitors feel welcomed. She added to making this dining experience memorable. Love this place. Every time I'm in Destin, I enjoy their incredible delicious food. Hostess was absolutely rude, barely spoke to me, and addressed my questions for my to go order; however, a very busy server assisted me. My eggplant parmesan with white sauce and Fettuccine Alfredo sauce was awesome.

The service was wonderful. I gave the waiter the freedom to pick my meal and wine selection. He did not disappoint me. I went ahead and made a future reservation before leaving the restaurant.

Everything about it was amazing! From the bread and oil to the wine, then main course and Cannoli for dessert. Wow! Service, environment and location, all great. We met the owner’s daughter and the special was Lobster Ravioli. It did not disappoint. The portions are enough for 2. Each ravioli is the size of an average hand and there are 3 on a plate. Plan for a take out box! We came to Florida from South Texas and the locals recommended this restaurant. We were happy we asked around. Soooo worth it. We love that it’s a “family business” and they work together. It’s old world authentic Italian. We will definitely be back.

The food and atmosphere are great in this restaurant. I highly recommend it to those who want to experience real Italian recipes.

I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere of the restuarant, the bread and oil was great. I got the calamari appetizer & seafood spaghetti, the portions are big so we had a lot leftover. I'm giving it 3 stars because my husband felt really sick after eating here, he had the calamari & gnocchi marinara as entree and his stomach was in knots the next day.

Very good place to eat. The service was truly memorable and food delicious. Must highlight the tiramisu, both the traditional and the strawberry one. Our waitress (I believe her name was Ruby) made a special order of the Strawberry Tiramisu to go because it wasn’t really ready to be served yet. We are very thankful, as it was amazing. Would definitely visit again next time we are in the area.

I am a local customer who had ordered here many times. Unfortunately, I spent over $100 on a Togo order last night that resulted in us throwing away the food and ordering pizza. The food had no taste, the Togo containers were filled 1/4 of the way (keep in mind every plate is over $20) and they gave us sand which bread to dip in olive oil? Never going back again.

We, as a family, never go out to eat Italian because not many places can do traditional Italian properly. I can say without a doubt La Famiglia is the best Italian restaurant me and my family has ever been to. Please do not hesitate to come here and enjoy a traditional Italian meal made by true Italians. Expect to laugh a lot and connect with the servers and the owners. 10/10. Will definitely come back to Destin just for this restaurant.

This is an honest review so here we go. This was our first visit to this establishment and it will be the last. Our very first vacation to Destin, Florida. Let's start off with the food. Some of the dishes were okay. The pizzas were somewhat overcooked but flavorful. The Chicken Parmigiano was okay, a little undercooked and soggy with way too much sauce instead the cheese to top it off. Can you say heartburn from hell!

The chicken fettuccine plates were the best on our table. The waiter was "MIA" Missing In Action, for most of our visit. Second the atmosphere was ok. From the first time we stepped in the restaurant no one greeted us or sat us down to a table. We had to walk up to the bar and asked if we could be seated, Red Flag. I did however noticed how different the certain ethnicities whom walked in were greeted and treated. The white patrons whom walked into the door were greeted and sat down immediately. My hard earned money is just as good as the next person. I noticed the establishment was not very busy. I also noticed when a family of 3 whom appeares to be indian, walked in and waited for about 4 minutes and then they proceeded to walk to the bar. There were some other people of color who were at the front. They waited and then walked back out.

The owner never came to our table to talk to us, after I requested for her to talk with me. However, she did talked to everyone else. This restaurant will not make the list of restaurants to revisit. We will be back to Destin but this place will not be on our list. If you are a child of Judah and are visiting for the first time, do not come here! Go to a restaurant who will appreciate you for who you are and be very grateful for you visiting them.

Update: Well from the nasty comment made from this establishment. It appears to me they are indeed unprofessional and my reviews are not based on feelings but facts. We were not treated like family. They did have someone reach out to me on my Facebook page and hurled insults in my messenger but they made insults appear to be educated. My reviews of this particular establishment are meant to help others, especially my brothers and sisters from the tribes of Judah. What is bad is she said i called her racists and went on a rant about whom she had a baby by and all her family are married too. Instead of apologizing for their lack of doing wrong to make things right. She made a nasty comment.

We selected this restaurant for my daughters special day which is her birthday. Only to be ignored and disrepected after I did in fact requested for her to come and speak to us about how her business is running and possibly help her train her staff on customer service. The fact is I work hard for my money and will not take any disrespect from anyone because we are indeed paying customers! Learn to run your business with respect, compassion and efficiency for all people. No matter their religion, ethnical background, culture or reqardless of how they look. Remember this, you are selling a brand! Anyhow, I have said what I said and will not take it back. You should be fortunate that I was not a food critic.

Chicken is dry no flavor. This is the worst Italian food I have ever had. You would think that a traditional Italian restaurant would get it right. Do not waste your time and money.

Would’ve gave 0 stars but couldn’t. The place was 100 degrees. The Alfredo was identical to microwave one dollar Alfredo from Walmart. My husbands calamari was so salty it couldn’t be ate. The water was the only thing that was good. Don’t waste your time or money.
