La Fenice Salon and Spa reviews
4How can you say you offer a service but don't employ anyone who can perform it?
Great cut & color! I’ve been looking for someone great since moving from LA - so happy I found this salon!
This was a very bad experience. The woman giving the mani/pedi was incredibly unfriendly and seemed pretty lost about how to conduct the service. I came in and she immediately told me to sit down, so I had to ask if I could pick my polish first, and she was pretty impatient with me.
She gave me a tub of water to put my feet in, and then pushed the table up to do my manicure, so after 10 or so minutes my feet were sitting in lukewarm water while she did my hands. I asked if I could have my feet done before my hands were painted so I could get my feet out of the cold water. She refilled the basin and it was so hot I could barely put my feet in it. She then put my feet up on her lap and bent over to work on them. Her hair was long and down the whole time and her hair kept getting on my feet and in my toes while she worked which was pretty unsanitary. She also made several judgemental comments about how small my nails were and marks on my feet.
The mani/pedi itself was fine but the experience was so bad and uncomfortable I wanted to leave. This was way too expensive for the kind of service received.
I'm confused how this spa is still open or has any positive reviews? I called twice to inquire about appointment vs walk-in for a mani/pedi (both listed on their menu of services), but no answer. I walk over and it's completely empty except for a woman getting maybe a foot massage? I ask the staffer whether they take walk-ins or if an appointment is required and she says "I don't have anything; I'm sorry. " I'm honestly very confused.
