La Guerrerense Taqueria reviews
15Excellent customer service, impressive grocery shelves that were clean and organized, great meat counter, homemade chicharrones were the best ever! Red Tamales were excellent and the refried beans were over the top in flavor and texture! Truly authentic! What a find! Back for lunch soon! If you have complaints you don’t know authentic or haven’t experienced a place like this.
The restaurant/store is underrated! The food is so good. I had the chicken quesadillas and asked for their in house hot sauce. It’s the real deal and I loved it.
The reason for three stars.
I ordered to take out. I meal, same meal, 2 days in a row. Both days after arriving home the meals were missing food. A bit disappointed.
Mixed fajita plate.
This restaurant is inside a grocery store. When the grocery side gets busy, say goodbye to your server. The food is nothing special. Pretty much what you'd expect from your standard Mexican restaurant.
The people are nice, store is well supplied, but they need to clean up the grounds and store and food area in order to make it appealing to eat prepared food there. Didn't even try to eat because of questionable cleanliness situation.
Love it, just like in Mexico. A place to eat inside a Tienda.
Lady, who seemed to be the owner, was very friendly and nice.
They also make fresh Tamales on Fridays and Saturdays
This place tastes just like mi suegra's food! Very authentic and extremely customer service oriented at great prices! Whenever I am in this area, this is the place to eat!
If I could give a minus 2 stars I would. Everything we bought including lunch was over priced with no description of what they were charging us for. Total on receipt was $61 plus change for 2 lunches, some limes, flour tortillas, care asada from the meat counter by and I couple of other small items. We were also charged $8.97 for 3 items that we did not buy 3 of anything. I just looked at my bank account and they added $12 for something else.
Just saying buyer beware these ppl will rip you off mightily.
Very very good food. Great options and they had mexican food I have never seen at any other Mexican restaurant. I was disappointed about not getting chips and salsa, but the food was great!
Great spot with authentic Mexican food. It is also a grocery store. Enjoyed eating here during my work visit in town.
This place is a small central/northern south American store with a small restaurant inside. The food is delicious and has rarely ever let down. Be forewarned, there is a minor language barrier with some of the staff so please have patience and speak slowly if theyre having trouble.
This is the best Mexican place I have found since moving to Florida from the West coast. So happy to finally find some seriously delicious Mexican food.
We stopped in for lunch while on a road trip. It was a bit out of the way but well worth the drive. The restaurant is sort of a diner built into an Hispanic grocery. It is not fine dining (or anything close) but it was a great experience. There was a also bit of a language barrier but service was attentive and we got through it. Our food was wonderful and very authentic. I had a dish served in molcajete which was creative and delicious. My wife enjoyed her meal very much as well. If you are looking for a change of pace or a really creative south of the border dining experience, go for it. We did and loved it!
If youre not used to hispanic restaurants the initial walk in an sit down may be a little strange as the clerk for the store acts as host for the restaurant. However the food was AMAZING. Totally impressed. Usually enchiladas come out messy and get messier as you cut them. These looked great, tasted better and held firm till the last bite. Fresh tomato sauce and tomatoes, the chicken was tender, the rice and beans were perfect. Come here if you want actually good Mexican food. They have standard fare burgers and fries as well. I'll be back for lunch or dinner soon.
A great, authentic Mexican restaurant located inside a Mexican convenience store. Food much better than you'd expect in a hole-in-the-wall kind of place. Only a few tables are available but we were always able to find a place to sit. Our favorite place to eat in DeFuniak Springs.
