It was my first time doing a cantina for the week.
I called to place my order over the phone. They got my order completely wrong when i arrived for pick up. Proceeded to say it was not there problem and that i had to take food as is since the young lady who took the order from me earlier was not there.
I requested a refund and even with that they made an issue. Very unprofessional.

I am very disappointed with the “ no service” that I received today
I sat in a table for more than 10 minutes, some waitress passed by and no one told us that we were in a table that is not in service
I wonder it is so small place and no one had the delicacy to address to us with explanation and we were waiting
Just when we asked what was going on they told us that the table was not in use
I have eaten before and the food is good but it is a shame that the service was awful

The attention is great the food no words really good food I recommend this place with my eyes closed

I love their food. I drive 1 hour a week to come down here. I have been coming her for about 10 years. They have 2 locations but this one is my favorite. Service is slow because they are so busy! Their is a lot of traffic in this little restaurant. So if you have order everything at once it moves a lot faster for you. The staff extremely nice! My husband gets along great with the staff since he’s there more than me.

Its ok. Hard to compete when it come to Spanish food in south Florida.good service and food portions were small but good enough.

Though the food is alright by Nicaraguan “fast food” standards, the professionalism on the part of management/ownership, efficiency (or lack of), and manners, leaves much to be desired. I don’t recommend this restaurant not because of the food, but because the managerial staff are EXTREMELY RUDE! Managers/Owners don’t treat their employees with respect and scream at them when orders are out of control (an aspect managers should oversee and mitigate), and then scream at customers when they complain. Would give negative stars if I could.

What a great restaurant. We ordered a family meal for 4 and had enough food for 2 days. The food was amazing, the seasonings were on point and it was very affordable. We will definitely be ordering from here again.

Best Nica restaurant in the area and probably a few miles South into Miami and miles to the North. Growing up, I had the best cooks in the family, I know good food and especially good Nica food. The service is excellent and the food delicious, the best part is the affordability, I have been to other Nica restaurants where the food is not nearly as good and the prices are high. La Hormiga is the best.

Great pricing and great food.it's better if you order ahead of time if you're in a hurry, they're lways a bit slow in that aspect.but it's worth the wait.

"El Profe": I truly enjoy visiting "LA Hormiga de Oro", the service staff is very affable, fast and extremely friendly. I visit this place almost on a daily basis with my family and friends, there's no need to look anywhere else. Their menu is great, love it yummy yummy.

First of all the place where the food is being prepared is outdated and unsanitary. However, the section where one can sit on the table is decent. The orange carrot juice is good and cheese, too. I could not get the churrasco meal because it was expensive, so i got the bistec empanizado and it was good. But the rice el gallo pinto was stale old. The waitress was nice.

Very good food have known this place for a very long time. The food is excellent and the service is very good. I will give a five star in cuality as a family restaurant.

Good food that won't break the bank. Facility might need some updating, but besides that it was pretty good

What a delicious food and nice service.
Ask for crab soup, shrimp or beef. Don't forget "gallo pinto". Such a great culinary experience.

Horrible customer service. I was there waiting for them to attend me and they attended someone else who walked in after me.

EXCELLENT NICARAQUAN food, that satisfied the Puerto Rican/Nicaraguan pallette of MY family. Small cozy restaurant but The Tamarindo, Cacao and Pitaya beverages sealed the 5 star. If the local hispanic Police officers eat here, you know it's GOOD FOOD!

We have been going here for the last 6 years. We love the breaded steak and steak and onions the most. The plantains are really really good.

Excellent food, but the service is not good. We went twice and both times the server was not friendly and she had bad attitude.

Im nica so i like this food the place looks clean and remodeled since the last time i was there nice people
