La Locanda restaurant bar pizzeria reviews
15We received recommendations for this restaurant from a local with vintage yacht cruise and was not disappointed with the food, atmosphere and top notch service. If ever back in Miami this would be my first restaurant to eat at and last restaurant eat at before I leave. Highly recommended.
I have eaten at La Locanda many many times. This is a south beach staple. The food is delicious and fresh. The atmosphere and owner are relaxing and super friendly. Can’t say enough about the food — so authentic.
The food was good, the lychee drink was fairly strong. Sorry to the staff members as we asked for leftovers for takeaway and we left it on the chair
The staff member was very attentive and helpful. It wasn’t busy at all and we managed to find an outdoor table without booking (back in April)
We stopped by La Locanda on our way home just for some dessert. We were greeted promptly and ordered some tiramisu and espresso. While waiting, we were brought some complimentary pizza (not a whole pie, just a taste and let me tell you, it was delicious!) which was nice. When our order came out, the manager came to check on us. He offered to drizzle some Kaluha and Bailey's on the tiramisu because he said it's what he does and loves it. We said sure and it was awesome! The service was so great - felt like we were the only ones in the restaurant with how attentive they were. Unfortunately we left town the next morning or else we would have been back for dinner!
Food is great, a Miami Beach staple. However, can you please update your hours so they reflect when your actually open? I just came here on a Sunday at 2 and your closed. Came back and 4: 30, tables set up outside and doors open but I was told you don’t open until 5: 30. Your website says you open at 4: 30 daily and 12 on Sunday.
Food was fantastic. Service was very attentive. They have a good wine list. They had loyal local customers in the dining room when I was there who swear by this place. I had chicken piccata, and a caprese salad.
I was looking for something with pizza and pasta and I stumbled upon this location and decided it to try for my significant other birthday, Gabriel was our waiter he was very great assisting us and also recommending us certain plates to try.food came out fresh and quick was very surprised the prices were affordable, the green tea shots were a little pricey 14 dollars for a shot, but other than that I and the group I came with had a very great time will be recommending it to other people and I will be coming back.
Thank you
Incredible vegan options and excellent service! The vegan cheese on the pizza is 10/10 (coming from someone who has been vegan for 10+ years)
Food is delicious! Service is fast and friendly. I sat in the "patio" area along the front sidewalk which is not ideal. Pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk and the cars parked right next to you on the other side kill the vibe but it's a pretty typical scene for the area.
The homemade pasta was on par with anything I have had in Italy. The stuffed pasta with pear and 4 cheese sauce was exceptional and original. The tiramisu was some of the best I’ve had. The service was excellent. Definitely one of the best meals I’ve had in Miami, or anywhere.
Please watch out your bill at the end. I’m not joking. They charged a full bill amount to me, $156 and half bill amount to my partner, $90 (he gave extra tip after service charge included). I noticed the odd amount in my credit card, faxed them twice to explain them detailed courses we ordered, called them 4 times. Owner promised me to return money within a week. It’s been three weeks since I talked to him and they have not even called and told me they would resolve it. It’s awful.
Overall very bad experience.
We had to send back a pasta dish as this was basically raw.
The waiter serving us was rude and argumentative.
Don't bother as this is not a genuine Italian restaurant.
We enjoyed very tasty Calamari (with fried carrots), Tagliolini Ai Porcini Al Profumo Di Tartufo and Risotto Di Mare. My friend drank a wonderful Mojito. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!
This place was one of my favorite spots in Miami for dinner! True Italian and delicious! I will probably go again before we leave - they are so reasonable compared to any other dinner spots! The manager was so kind and started us off with bread and vegan bread with pasta sauce. The only free thing I’ve ever experienced in Miami honestly Our server was so kind and cared about my dietary restrictions! This was the yummiest vegan pizza and my friend loved their meat pasta with noodles and tomato sauce! She said it was the best she ever had. For meat eaters and vegans, this spot nailed it on the head! Thank you all for everything and we will be back!
Absolutely loved the food and the service here! Delicious Italian food. The pear and cheese pasta was delightful and just enough! Many other pasta and main dish options available.
