ONE DISH WORSE THAN ANOTHER. FOR A PERUVIAN RESTAURANT THE FOOD FATAL. EVERYTHING OF VERY LOW QUALITY FOR THE CATEGORY I HAD IN THE PAST. I WOULD NOT RETURN NOR RECOMMEND IT. THE SLOW ATTENTION. I PAY HAPPY IF I EAT WELL BUT I LEFT THE RESTAURANT TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED.

The place is impressive, especially if you can get a table on the terrace with views of the Downtown at sunset, the food is a poem for the senses. The attention is dedicated, and Sofía is a pleasant, attentive and respectful table attendant.

I’m from NYC and have high standards when it comes to service and quality of food. The purpose for our dinner was to celebrate our 1yr Wedding Anniversary.
La Mar definitely did not disappoint we ordered two entrees (Clasico Cebiche and Arroz Verde) a dessert (Lucuma and Chocolate) with two drinks (Lima Limon, Piscojito). Everything was very clean tasting and flavorful, the drinks were refreshing the dessert was refreshing and rich in flavor. Everything I ordered I would reorder again. What was really delightful was when the staff presented us with a nice tasty surprise after our entree. The prices are very fare for such grade A service and food. Our waiter explained everything on the menu to help us make a perfect choice so we could have the best experience. I’d come here again and would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a nice dinner great service with no stuffiness. Reserve a table at La Mar!

This is my happy place. Food and drinks are excellent, as is the service. Get any of the ceviche offerings and the whole fish for 2. The scallops topped with parmesan are hands down the best we have ever had. Maracuya piscos are a must.

Itsaso was a wonderful server, she described the dishes like she was a master chef herself. The ceviche was the best that I have had in years. Octopus and steak were done perfectly. Fun cocktails and excellent wine selection.

Once you make it through the pretentious host who is so full of himself, you are in for a treat by sweet and attentive waiters serving some of the best Peruvian inspired cuisine in Miami.

Skip the sweet cocktails and go straight for the classics, such as Espresso Martini which is among the best in Miami. View is great.

In a few words, one of the best places I have visited, EXQUISITE food and excellent service. Enjoy a beautiful view of Miami. I recommend the terrace for dinner, the view is beautiful. Don't miss the tasting plate, it's the GREATEST.

Wildly over-rated and over-priced. Plus, they brought us more appetizers than we wanted and not even one that we specifically ordered.

The service is really bad and we went for breakfast. From the moment you arrive, the host takes forever to sit down even though there was too much free space. His attitude was very bad. We ordered a la carte breakfast, a coffee and a bagel and they brought me an avocado toast. So to wait 20 more minutes for them to bring the bagel. For that my cappuccino was already ice cold.the view is nice. But breakfast is not worth what it costs.

The atmosphere is terrible. We sat inside and it was so loud that I couldn’t have a normal conversation with my wife. I had to slightly scream to get a sentence out. The server had to even get close to our faces to be able to hear her. The food was okay, but serving sizes of the plate were small. I left hungry. Just the atmosphere alone was unenjoyable. I couldn’t wait to get up and leave.

Spectacular dinner the service with the waiter LÁZARO COULD NOT BE BETTER was a wow his recommendations were perfect the presentation of the food and if we talk about the visit nothing more beautiful in the water that is seen the truth is I recommend them without a doubt and They cannot let anyone tell them or that it is through photos or comments the way to enjoy an evening and a beautiful unique experience

We came for my father’s birthday and it was very disappointing. Food was average as we have tried Gaston Acurio’s restaurants in Peru. Service was very slow, like our table did not exist at all and we were forced (as per the law) to pay $90 gratuity for a service that was not even worth $10.

Not recommended and for sure we will not be coming back.

The food was really good but the drinks and desserts were the stars! The view outside is worth the heat. Our waiter was great and knowledgeable but the pacing was off. A few times we had noticeably long breaks between dishes and then get two at the same time. That said, I would definitely go again.

We were seated on the patio very quickly, but after that never received service. After sitting for about 20 minutes I went to the host stand to let them know we hadn't been helped yet. They weren't busy, but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. I was told "okay" and that was it. I went back to my table where I sat for another 10 minutes, but nobody ever came. I am so surprised to see such a lack of service from a restaurant at a Mandarin Oriental hotel. We walked across the bridge and got better service and great food - all for a lower cost.

My husband and I had a good time, what we liked the most was the attention of our waitress Itsa, very professional and willing to please us in everything, as well as the rest of the staff, I recommend it to my friends.

Where do I begin? ! My experience La Mar at the Mandarin Oriental was amazing! Absolutely the best Peruvian food I’ve ever had within the states. If your in town even for just one might I highly recommend La Mar. The view is a bonus.

We came to experience the delicious food and we were not accepted because of the “rain”. An hour before it’s is supposed to close? That is ridiculous- stay away as your don’t know what other excuses there are going to give you for not having service.

This restaurant is perfect for a romantic date night. We sat outdoors where there is a breathtaking view of the skyline to watch the sunset.

Mariana our server was outstanding. She was knowledgable on the food, was extremely attentive and gave us time and made our night very relaxing.

The food was unbelievable and cannot thank Mariana enough for making our occasion a very special one. Will definitely be back.
