La Petite Academy of North Port

Absolutely Love this daycare! I took three of my children to this daycare since moving down from Michigan and they felling love with the teachers/staff and the kids in their class. I know a lot of the time daycares are hard to choose and hard to deal with, Especially wondering if your children are gonna be well taken care of, but you don’t have to worry about that with this one. If I could give this daycare more than five stars, I would. My two older kids know how to write their name, distinguish letters and numbers can count To 100, say the ABC’s, know shapes and colors. 10 out of 10 recommend!

Clean, colorful, and fun! Kids love it here, and the staff are friendly and respectful. Highly recommend!

Can I just take a moment to appreciate the daycare my kids go to? Been going there since 2018. Theres always back lash on daycares. And believe me there are times i don’t agree with certain actions at the one my kids attend. Or at times lack of Communication/Chain… but The staff is always on point with us. Some have even became friends even after they have moved on to their next chapter. So we discovered that our sonis allergic to Legumes. Not going into detail on what happens. But when i notified the school in person and discussed that i am waiting on a DR note since it was newly discovered after cutting out foods and paying attention to what I was feeding him…. One of the staff members looked up the hazardous foods that is or contains it and educated the other staff members since some items you wouldn’t think about checking (spice blends and certain ground meats etc…) They even printed out a copy from the website they found the information from and gave me a copy as well as themselves. Always stay on good terms with the people who care for your children when you are not! I definitely feel more relieved knowing they took the time to educate / refresh themselves on his situation.

I absolutely love this daycare I have an 11 month old and he loves going to school everyday and has no problem going right to the teachers with a big smile he has been learning so much there thanks to all his teachers and especially Ms. Katie. Cameras are a plus so I can still see my little one while working. They take them on walks so they can get their outside time and send you pictures throughout the day! Best decision ever was taking my little one here

We have been very happy with La Petite. The buildings are always clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming from the moment you walk in the door. My daughter has had so much fun and learned so much, thanks to her dedicated teachers Ms. Stacy and Ms. Amanda! I love that the Sprout About app is available for us to have communication with the teachers, see pictures/videos of our children throughout the day, and to check in on my daughter via livestream.

Mrs Vee is absolutely amazing with children I observed her as I was dropping my grandson off to there facility. I recomend this Child care to all n parents looking for a new place.

I’m actually shocked to see some of these reviews. All three of my children have attended here. The amount of things that they have learned over the years are amazing! The teachers are always looking for new ways to excite and teach the children! The leadership team has gone above and beyond for me and a few of the friends that I have recommended to this school. My son actually gave an invitation for his birthday party and she came! Super Sweet!

IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE. WHATEVER YOU DO, my daughter was thrown onto a cot and got a blanket over her whole entire body covering her head also. The teacher was extremely rough and grabbed children by the arms. I walked in there to confront what I had seen and teacher would not speak and grinned and smiled at the other teacher in the room. The director told me my daughter was in the wrong class room yet that has nothing to do with the way I watched this teacher behave towards my child and other children in the class on camera thru my phone. I have reported this school and I pray for anyone’s children’s here please pay attention! THE TEACHER ROXANNE ON HERE DEFENDING THE PLACE IS THE ONE THAT DID IT TO MY 2 YEAR OLD AND OTHERS IN CLASS. DO NOTTTT SEND KIDS HERE I CALLED DCF ON THIS PLACR

My child has been left unattended and was found in the parking lot of the facility. I am not even sure how they kept their licence after that plus the previous director has been arrested for child neglect. They let all the good staff leave and are keeping hiring new staff that are unexperienced

Called to get a tour. They booked me a tour at 1 pm (two hours later) for the same day. When I arrived I was at the correct address the school gave. Door says ring bell. No bell. Finally I knock and a teacher comes out like can I help you. Yes I’m here for a tour. Mind you I’m at the only spot that it says main office…she tells me to goto the far building because that’s where my 3 year old would be. I go to the other building. Ring the bell. No one comes. So I have to call the phone number I signed up with again. I call. They said oh weird let me call the school. The SAME lady from the other building comes out to say no one’s answering the door? No clearly my 3 year old and I are just standing outside for fun! Apparently someone was out sick so they asked another lady to do the tour. So as I’m going through I find out the amount they gave me per week was ONLY with a voucher for vpk. But they wasted my entire time instead of telling me that on the phone. THEN I leave and now the schools 800 number is calling me and they email asking why I didn’t make it to the tour. Lol. The teachers looked nice. The school looked nice. But I would give negative stars for my experience.

If I could give zero stars I would. Poor communication. Young teachers. Lying.
Their website says they offer positive behavior support and they definitely do not.
My son was coming here, involved with the coalition. Under behavior care. Everyday I picked him up the teacher told me he had an amazing day and blew kisses to each other. Cute yes.
Then one day they called me to come get him and said he couldn’t come back. They claimed they had several conversations regarding “unsafe behavior” and yet really the conversations were about how the teacher was overwhelmed and couldn’t offer support. I was lied too. The coalition even said the daycare was frowned upon.

I also would pick him up in dirty diapers CONSTANTLY.

Also, I watched on their cameras a staff member grabbing my son by the arm and dragging him out of class.

Do not take your child here.
