La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Fort Lauderdale Tamarac

Came in to visit my nieces and their families. Instead of two days, I extended to four because this place was so nice. There is a CVS right next door that you can walk to.

So first of all the pictures of the hotel were probably made like 10 years ago because everything looks so old now, especially the outside of the hotel. The pool closes at 7pm and it seems like it wasn't cleaned for a couple years. As soon as you come inside the hotel you can smell smoke. People that work there are not nice AT ALL, they are not even smiling and make you feel very unwelcome. I told the lady that I don't know how this is a smoke free hotel when it smells very smoky especially on the second flor where our room was, she looked at me like she did not care at all and all she said is "ok", no apologies whatsoever and she didn't even do anything about it. If you wanna come to this hotel just know that it seems like everyone there is SMOKING and it smells extremely bad there. Their breakfast is a different story. They say breakfast is 6-9, we came to breakfast at 8 and there was like 1 yogurt left, it seems like they do not restock their breakfast at all, the saisages and eggs taste like trash, I was honestly about to throw up once I teied it, me and my husband had to go have breakfast in other places because we could not stand the smell and taste of the food. I would NEVER RECOMMEND this hotel to ANYONE. I promise you WILL REGRET coming here. If I could I would give zero stars to this hotel. I was counting my days to leave from this hotel.

Needed to get away for a night, super clean rooms, friendly efficient late night staff, kings beds, sheets smelled nice. Will def go back.

Made my reservation, and when I got …it was fill with hookers, your local drug dealers, immigrants, it smelled like hell in the lobby, this is a welfare hotel and a immigrant hotel, this place gave my the creeps … so for those who are giving this hotel a good rating, you have very low standards. I canceled my reservation and got the hell outta there,

The front staff had the personality of a porcupine. They charged an extra 75 dollars for a "security deposit". Guests screaming "songs" in the hallway. The tub was moldy and so was the bathroom. Thermostat was broken. The room smelled of cigarettes so did the hallway.

Terribly disgusting! Dirty carpets full of hair and dirt, they don't seem to clean them. Bathroom with hair in the shower and clogged toilet. Small bugs in the room.we never knew if they were lice or fleas.disgusting. Dirty walls and ceilings, poor breakfast and the smell of urine in the hallways! I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. We had to clean the room ourselves.

Bathroom leaking on the floor weat floor, cucarachas in bathroom, and Pool close on Sundays.

I Dislike that you have to have a major credit card I didn't internet it is great

Great location! I like the fact that there's body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in dispensers, on the wall, in the shower. There's also a kind of vent cover for the a/c, so the air doesn't blow up into the curtains, and they put the curtain liner in front of the curtain, instead of behind it (and it doesn't open in the middle).

The property is small, but the rooms are clean. Technically, there are 3 exits and ONLY ONE entrance! However, when I asked about the two "exit only" side doors, I was told that ANY hotel guest that goes out either side door, will be asked to leave IMMEDIATELY, regardless of your reservation, payment, etc. If you refuse to leave, they will call the police and have you trespassed! And, ". Take it to court, " was the response when I asked if the guest would get their money back for any unused part of their reservation.

Also, there is a $75 deposit, CHARGED to your card. But, overall, I recommend it!

DISGUSTING! Water leaks coming from roof. Rooms were not clean. Bathroom had hair in the tub and dirty makeup rag under the sink. Gross

Upon checking in I checked the room and the bathroom tub was NOT clean and the bed fitting sheet had stains so I did not sleep under the covers. I booked the room through a 3rd party Expedia & my credit card was to be charge for the hotel deposit which is supposedly $75 but my card was charged $211 & when I asked the front desk reps I was advised it was the charge for the room & to get a better explanation I was advised to speak with a manager the following morning. At night one of the guests advised me to watch out for my vehicle due to people from the nearby hotels or locals where jumping the gates and trying to break in parked cars. They only have 1 elevator for four floors worth of guest so be prepared for it to be a little slow. You will get what you pay for is what I can say about this Laquinta

Extreme needvtobstay inbthis place! Service is not same as innwhite Areas because the company does not care! I realized that it is a black and white thing. Is our made out of monopoly money? Just asking!

The key cards weren’t working, and we had to be let into our room by a staff member every time we left. The whole hotel was run down and dirty, and the room had a moldy smell.

I asked to change my room, because the beds were uncomfortable, the a/c cooled little and made a lot of noise, there were cockroaches everywhere, there were no courtesies such as bath soap, coffee, or tea, the shower drain was clogged Like the one in the sink, it took time to lower the water, the receptionists were not empathetic, the only good thing is the location, otherwise everything is wrong.

We had problems when it was time to leave, they told us that we had to put a deposit of 75 dollars that they would return to our credit card once it was verified that the room had been left. They assured us that everything was fine and that we would receive the money back in our account. It was not like that, we have protested and they tell us that we have to make a claim to the credit card because the hotel made the mistake of charging that deposit and the way they have the system, it has to be through the credit card. This all seems like a scam to me.

Entire place needs updating. Rooms, lobby, parking everything.

Security on site was watching his phone everytime i seen him.

Rooms were clean and neat. Everything we needed. Not fancy. Great Breakfast, pool was fun. One complaint, Girl at desk wasnt very friendly, made us seem like we were bothering her. Other than that the other staff (breakfast guy) was great!

After staying at the nice Hampton Inn on the next block, I was surprised at the condition of this hotel. I should not have been, given that I paid half the price. The place seem to have been recently remodeled, but numerous things were broken in the room, like the thermostat, shower, had no pressure, smoke alarms, seemed to be non-functional. I guess they’re not spending anything on maintenance. Good price, but you get what you pay for.
