Roach motel Checked in. Saw a roach on the bed. Checked the mattress. Old and stained. Next room. Roach on the floor. Killed it & took it to the lobby. New room seemed fine until a roach decided to get in bed with me in the middle of the night. This place is run down, broken air conditioning in halls, dirty and roach infested. Seriously no reason for this if you have a clean hotel with proper pest control. I should have slept in the car.

I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. I was told by the desk clerk that they had a new computer system and she was having difficulty with it and she was struggling trying to check me in. After a 15 minute wait she told me that there were no room available due to a NASCAR activity and suggested that I inquire at a hotel across the street. I did not check out the hotel as suggested instead I went outside to my car, went on line and reserved a room at La Quinta quite easily. There were rooms available. Desk clerk would rather tell me that there were no rooms available and send me on my way than to ask someone for help with her check in. The room I got reeked of dog urine so we got another room. The new room had ants (photo), the AC unit was too loud, the floor was dirty (photo), the bed squeaked every time we made a movement, and the floor panels were peeling off the floor (photo). The price of staying at this hotel is not comparable to the actual room. The price should be much lower in my opinion.

Staff was friendly the moment we came through the doors. Cozy inviting lobby. The room was nice and clean. The bed was ok. Basic complementary breakfast. Waffles, bagels, eggs, bacon and cereal. The only thing I didn't like was that the parking lot seemed a little small. Restaurants and convenience store within walking distance.

My wife and I stayed at LA Quinta Inn & Suites in Port Orange for two nights. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and their breakfast is hot and ready to eat by the prescribed time.

I went to this hotel as Laquita’s are usually ok for a quick night. This one was run down and dirty except for the lobby and I decided to look past that because it was a last minute decision during a holiday. I did not get to use my room I literally checked in and checked out due to two men following me and my children recording us. I even made a detour to the pool to be sure they were following us and they were! I told the front desk clerk who seemed to be in another world reading a magazine about this and asked could I get a refund because I don’t feel comfortable staying here after that. She said sure I’ll say early checkout but Expedia will have to refund you since you paid thru them. She didn’t ask what the men looked like or seemed to care that me and my minor children were being recorded and followed. I asked for the managers name because she was so blasé about the situation. While in the parking lot I decided to call Expedia and they said it was absolutely not true the location had to approve the refund. I walk back in and she tells me again no it’s Expedia, I live out of the state so I’m not able to walk in and speak with anyone now or after because I left same day instead of staying. She gave me an invalid email address when calling back to speak with the manager twice and caught an attitude about me calling. I would never recommend this location in particular and please be alert and don’t leave your kids out of eye sight if you still decide to stay here.

Stay somewhere else. I was hoping for a good experience because La Quintas haven’t let me down up to this point but I was highly disappointed. Our room smells strange (probably related to the carpet). Carpet feels wet and gross. Looks like the bathtub hasn’t been properly cleaned as there’s black around the edge of the tub. We killed a roach on the back of the door. The lighting in the room is poor but we checked and didn’t see anymore. I had my beachfront hotel cancel on me last minute on the 4th of July so our options were limited. I recommend finding somewhere else to stay for the money.

Gave me a room key to a room a single female was already checked in to. Im a grown man. Imagine my and HER surprise when I walked into her room at 1 in the morning. I was embarrassed and humiliated. She was rightfully scared and panicked. They gave me a new room; only to be locked out of that room after going to my car. Gave me new room keys. Told me it was my fault for it being close to my phone. I did ask for a late check out which they reluctantly gave. Didn't get much sleep as you could imagine. Then almost decided to stay another night as i was exhausted, until a palmetto bug (giant roach) crawled across the other bed. When I asked America (the front desk agent) in the morning to speak with a manager both her and the "manager" were very rude, condescending, and dismissive. I wasn't even asking for anything. Just inform her of happened during my stay. You'd think both of them being women they'd understand the humiliation and embarrassment of walking into a womans room that late. Instead I was essentially told I was over reacting and that she should be only one to complain about the situation. What!? ! And I'm not a stickler for work uniforms but stretched out, see-through, yoga pants as a manager of a hotel is inappropriate. I could literally see her big underwear through her pants.first floor smells like chlorine because of the indoor pool. It's all you could smell in the breakfast lobby. Took a chance with the coffee. It was burnt.

It's sad because I stayed there numerous times in the past. I can look over everything else that happened. But walking into a woman's room that late at night. She felt violated and I felt like a creep.that coupled with the managers nonchalant dismissal. Too much. Stay here at your own risk.

America is a poor excuse for a front desk agent and her manager that wasn't wearing a name tag (shocker) should be fired. Both should tbh.

La Quinta Port Orange has friendly and professional staff, clean rooms, reasonable rates and is in a great location convenient to shopping and dining.

2 star hotel - affordable, so you get what you pay for. The staff has always been nice and accommodating, and help out when you need something. Typical (free) breakfast in the morning, not much choice but I would think it's "Hotel-chain" related choices.there are many small restaurants near by, that offer pretty good food. Also Target within 5 min walk or by car easily reachable.

Traveling with a dog can be a difficult experience. Only because most hotels and motels do not allow pups and the ones that do are not what I would consider nice accommodations. This property was happy to let us bring our pup. The room and property were spotless and in perfect repair. The front desk staff was over the top friendly, allowed us to check in a few minutes early and even provided a room near the elevator and door to a walk area. The hotel is surrounded by great restaurants and all of the amenities of Daytona Beach and Port Orange. Highly recommended! A+

We've had many stays with La Quinta throughout my husband's 20-year military career. This one, by far, has been the absolute worst stay. We arrived around 01: 25 on Tue, 28th March 2023. We were unaware that the reservation the company had booked was a handicap room until we checked in. My friend who booked with the company went to speak to the front desk about changing rooms due to the condition of the room. Condition as follows: Main door to room was broken, You had to lift the door up in order to shut it. The shower head holder was broken, barely any water came out of the shower head due to calcium build up. There were long hairs as well as pubic hairs on the side wall and drain (not ours) and overall unsanitary. The pillows had been stepped on by what looked like mens boot prints. The toilet sounded as if the flange was stuck and continued to make noise non-stop. The toilet paper holder was broken. There was an orange fungus growing along the wall near the air-conditioner. There was a strong smell coming from the adjacent door, opened to find mans unwashed boxer briefs. The fridge didn't work as well as hadn't been cleaned (pictures will be included). If a disabled person were booked in this room in the current state it's in, they wouldn't be able to function. It's not even fit for a non disabled person! The elevator definitely needed to be serviced it's extremely run down. We were transferred later that afternoon from the 2nd floor to the 3rd floor. The room seemed to be decent until we found Cockroach's as well as thier eggs under the microwave, and we had to go through all of our things to make sure we didn't bring any home with us. The front desk clerks were very kind as well as the manager did her best to help us whilst bouncing back and forth, trying to help turn over rooms and help us. Which, by the way, she multitasked amazingly, it's not a management problem. This is on the owner of this establishment. In my opinion, this hotel does not meet La Quinta standards. They dont take care of the property or their employees. Only 1 housekeeper for 4 floors. Explains why rooms aren't fully cleaned. Definitely would not recommend this place. I am very disappointed and disgusted.

The beds were hard as a rock. The room was dirty, I found a hair on the bed right after we walked in. The room smelled like smoke.

This was such a waste of money! The room smelt terrible when you walked in. The pillow cases smelt dirty and had hair on them. The shower drain was broken. The ice bucket smelt like cigarettes. There was dust all over and hair. The room was extremely dirty have never seen a hotel room this disgusting. We were traveling with children for a long time and had no other choice but to stay here. It was awful. I had to change the sheets myself. So we could at-least sleep. The smell of the room the entire time made it hard to sleep. Don’t waste your money here. I would never stay again. The front desk did not help either.

BEWARE. Roaches, hard beds, cold coffee, nobody rarely at the front desk. AND. They might turn water off for hours, without notice.

For the price, it was great. I paid about 140 for Saturday to Sunday morning for a 2 bed. Employees were nice and courteous.

I was on a trip with my dog. Rooms were quiet, clean and breakfast was good. Full selection including bacon, eggs, cereals, etc. Many eating places within walking distance and also within a short drive. I felt safe walking my dog after dark.

No mobile check-in, front desk unwilling to assist with early check-in or guarantee for late arrival

Left over food in room fridge. Disgusting.

All this for $300+ on race weekend
