La Strada Italian Restaurant, St. Augustine FL

Extremely noisy inside the restaurant but their outdoor patio was cozy. Updated review.server was very very rude and they charge $4.95 to share a plate with a 3 year old child. Very very disappointed with how condescending the server was. We were repeat customers and you lost our business. There are tons of Italian restaurants in St.augustine, this place is not worth it.

I dined here last week and there are enough tables to where its not crowded but still able to fit its customers and the food is amazing and tastes fresh and the atmosphere is great for any occasion 10/10 I recomend trying

I am giving 4 stars because I've always loved this place and hope the other night was not the new norm. The calamari was very good. The overpriced special had a lot of shrimp, 2 rubbery scallops and a cold partially split lobster tail which made removing meat very difficult. The vodka sauce was great. The veal picatta had tissue thin veal and a sauce with no flavor. The capers had no taste at all. Service is excellent. Staff pleasant. I will give it another try.

Didn’t expect much of the restaurant being new to the place. When we showed up we had an amazing experience and the food was absolutely amazing. Also all the workers had so much respect and patience for the kids being all messy and loud. 10/10 I would recommend this place to anyone out there.

My husband and I were visiting his grandparents who are Italian they live in Saint Augustine. We decided to have a night out and we check out La Strada and OMG the best Italian food I have ever eaten in my life. Everything was absolutely amazing. The service was wonderful Heidi and Brice were the best and super kind to my grandparents. I will definitely be going back to La Strada when I come to visit again.

We try not to waste food and also avoid to-gos, so we always order bit less and aim to finish. However, this restaurant charges extra 4.5$ if you eat from anyone else plate. I can imagine such charge if we would have asked the chef to split the food, but charging for eating from somones plate is bit ridiculous. Also, when I asked do you do refills for sodas and they said yes, but charged extra for it in the end. Considering that it is a simple restaurant in a strip mall, they all seems to be tactics of adding more items to the bill and hoping customers will not notice it. Instead of upcharging, they should focus on good service, so customers leave delighted and pay generously via tips.

Heidi was fantastic! She handled a party of 12 with ease. The food was incredible! Just made a reservation for my birthday dinner party:)

This is the best tasting meal I had since I moved to Florida a while ago. I had the lobster bisque. I recommend this place and fish to anyone interested in La Strada! Everything was made in a fair amount of time and the staff was super nice and helpful.

My check came perfectly on time with the desert, I could not have asked for a better service!

First time eating there tonight with my husband, delicious! We will be back! Fresh food, great service, awesome atmosphere

Went and ordered a simple chicken Caesar salad and spaghetti and the rest of my family the same but with side salads I’m a local and am used to seeing the $15-$20 meals but this was more expensive then usual… the food came out, the side salads first, there was about 3 bites total worth of salad in each serving witch was disappointing. I made a trip to the restroom and passed by the kitchen I noticed it looked a little unsanitary but I didn’t think much of it. After about a hour the main meals arrived the portions were very small for the $30 price tag it came with. My salad came and appeared fine… as I was eating I noticed not 1 not 2 but 3 hairs (that I noticed) in my salad at this point I was disgusted and lost appetite. The spaghetti was ok but was nothing better you could make at home for 5 bucks and definitely in less than an hour. In my opinion there are many other great options but I certainly will not be returning to La strata anytime soon.

What a gem! My new favorite restaurant. The food was great, large portions. Home made salad dressings. I had one of the specials. We will be back often.

This is the best meal I have had since I moved to Florida in 2021. I highly recommend La Strada! Everything was made with love and care from the fresh garlic bread to the freshly made pesto sauce to the homemade spumoni ice cream. They also brought the check along with dessert. The timing was impeccable! Thank you! The wait staff was professional, knowledgeable, and had an exceptional work ethic. The next time we're in St. Augustine, we will definitely return! You get what you pay for! Thank you for a magnificent dining experience!

Overall good food that was very enjoyable. Seafood pasta dish was loaded with seafood but just a bit overdone which was a surprise as rest of our meals were so very good

Absolutely phenomenal experience. We were a terror of a table with loud young kids and we were given just the most wonderful service! On top of that the food was simply incredible. We had a stellar experience and would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly!

First time here, we've already scheduled for another. This is a cute place, when we showed up at 6 the place was 3/4 full and hopping. There are bottles of wine all over the place, just grab and they will cork it for you. The food was delicious and portions are generous. We had the veal special, veal Parmesan and clam linguine, all perfect. Our service was fine, there was only two persons working the floor and one was new, so things were a little slow, but that's wasn't an issue, just relax and enjoy your wine.
