Ladybird Academy of FishHawk, Lithia FL

Ladybird Academy has been the most amazing school for our children. I cannot say enough nice things about the teachers and staff. They are always happy, helpful and they truly love our children. If you are looking for an excellent daycare, look no further.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this daycare. We enrolled my daughter a year and half ago. I was very unsure about putting my kids in daycare at first but my daughter desperately needed the socialization before our son was born. She was a covid baby and was incredibly shy and unsure of anyone who wasn’t in our family. She was behind in her speech and didn’t really know how to interact with other people, especially kids.

Miss Diamond was the first person that she really attached to that wasn’t in our family. Miss Diamond has always gone out of her way for her. She lights up whatever room she is in and has been the one to wipe her tears and comfort whenever she is having a rough day. When I ask her how school was she always mentions Miss Diamond and even named her favorite baby doll after her. She regularly says”I love Diamond” and I will forever be grateful for what she has done for my family, especially my daughter.

I can’t imagine getting through potty training without Miss Jennifer. She pretty much had her completely potty trained after one week of being in her class after months of us struggling and failing at home. She has helped teach her how to be kind to others and how to be a friend.

Miss Lacey is my daughter’s current teacher, she noticed was struggling with pronouncing quite a words and has really worked with her individually on it. It’s pretty amazing watching her in a classroom full of 3 year olds and how well they all listen to her. She is so animated when teaching and makes learning so much fun.

I thought we had already been so lucky with my daughter’s teachers and we probably wouldn’t find anyone as great for our son when he started 4 months ago but we were so wrong. I had heard from friends that Miss Savannah was incredible but she has blown me away. She truly cares about our boy and will even check in on him during the weekends if he is sick. She has set food aside for him to make sure he is fed when we were running late. On his classroom window there is a school bus picture that has the kids faces on it, my daughter always points out her brother’s picture on it and Miss Savannah surprised her the other day by adding her picture to it as well. It made her day and was super sweet of her to include her.

Miss Caroline, Miss Haley, Miss Dominique, Miss Alex, and Miss Maria have all been outstanding as well. Honestly all the teachers have been great. They notice the little things and always have our babies best interest in mind. All the teachers know my kids names and go out of their way to say hello and goodbye each day. Everyone should have teachers like the ones at Ladybird and we are lucky to have such great people helping raise our kids when we aren’t able to be there.

Both kids have come so far and so much of that is due to Ladybird Academy. I am astonished with how much they have learned and the new skills they pick up daily. My kids are no longer the shy kids they once were and have learned how to share and be kind to others. I can’t imagine taking them anywhere else.

Love this place so much. My daughter will be three in January and has been there since she was 8 weeks old. They are family to us now. All the teachers are great. The facility is always clean. Any concerns you may have they address right away. Couldn’t say enough good things about this place. Would never take my daughter anywhere else.

Teachers are so wonderful! We looked for a loving atmosphere for our child where he could actually learn something at 3 years old instead of just play all day. He has learned sooooo much! The curriculum is amazing.

If you are looking for the best care for your child, this is the place. I was so nervous to start my one year old in daycare. Within the first day, my mind was put at ease. Within the first week, even the teachers I had never met and weren’t her immediate teachers knew her name and would great us. She is now 2.5 and absolutely thriving. She is learning so much every day and I am consistently impressed with the activities they provide. When I started my second here at 3 months, I was not even nervous the first day. I knew she was in good hands. The infant room is out of this world. The lead teacher is the most kind and loving person I’ve ever met. My second is 8 months now and again, thriving and learning so much. The staff here is second to none. I truly look at them as extended family to my kids.

Aside from the amazing teachers and staff, this place has so many other amazing features. There is security doors that no one can enter without a code. You must use a fingerprint to sign your kids in and out. The cleanliness is honestly impressive. Everything is always spotless and I always see someone cleaning. If you want to sign up for webcam access, you can watch your kid both inside the classroom and outside too. They have an app that sends you updates ALL DAY LONG. You know everything your child did all day. What they ate, what they learned, when they went to the bathroom, how long they napped etc. There is no better peace of mind than getting smiling pictures of your kids all day. If you have questions or concerns, you can send messages through the app and someone will always respond promptly. I’ve sent messages after close and later at night and literally will still always get a response from someone.

There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that my kids are getting the best care. You can feel the love when you walk in the door. If you are struggling with a childcare choice, look no further than this amazing facility.

Our oldest has been at the academy since opening day and our 2nd child has been here for 2 years having started in infants. The level of care and is unmatched and we have loved all of our teachers.

Ladybird Academy has been wonderful for our daughter! The teachers and staff truly care about the safety, emotional well-being, and academic development of the students. They foster a community of creativity and acceptance, and we have enjoyed watching our daughter flourish. My daughter looks forward to going to school every day and we as parents are thankful knowing she is being protected and loved. Now is not the time to cut hours, when our students so critically need (and deserve) support!

People - teachers and staff friendly. Director has a genuine interest in knowing your family and ensuring needs are met. Children learn so much, and are happy when leaving in care.

Communication - excellent. Monthly - newsletter; weekly - menu (meals/snacks) ; daily - app providing pictures and updates. When your child is an infant, this is most critical!

Safety/security - every parent has unique code to enter door.

I love this daycare it has been a great place for my child and I must say how much I absolutely love Ms. Irene and Ms. Diamond. I have noticed recently that there has been a shift in their hours. The cut in hours is the reason for the 3 star review. I must say I am not happy about that. Ms. Diamond has been an absolute joy from the first day I met her. She always has a huge smile and you know instantly she loves every single child she comes in contact with. Ms. Diamond was there day one of my child starting and played a very big role in why we decided to stay with Lady Bird. My child loves her and we can't thank her enough! Ms. Irene came in later and has truly become part of our family. In the time Ms. Irene has been with Lady Bird my child has grown so much! He comes home singing songs she taught him, counting, he knows so many words and letters. He no longer screams when we take him to daycare. She always checks on him when he is sick and keeps me informed everyday! We all as a family love her and we are so grateful for her. Ms. Irene is absolutely amazing and truly loves the children she works with. We are so blessed to have her in our lives and we intend to make sure everyone knows that. My child doesn't do well with change and in the last week he has been sent to other classes and left with teachers he doesn't know. That causes stress to him and inturn causes stress and worry to me. I have been so happy with his daily routine and now it seems thats changing without consideration of what that does to the children. When my child comes home sad or upset that Ms. Irene left or Ms. Diamond had to leave and he had to go to another class I become concerned. When my child says he doesn't want to go to the other class and he wants to stay with Ms. Irene or Ms. Diamond I become concerned. We should be able to leave our child at daycare and know they are happy and with people who make them comfortable. I shouldn't have to go to work and worry where my child is today or why can't i see my child when I look at the camera. I shouldn't have to wonder where my child is at nap time because I know when I look at the camera where his cot is. Only today I looked and my child wasn't there. In fact the room was empty and dark. We love this daycare and we really want to continue sending our child here. We hope this review will be seen and taken seriously. We hope our teachers are valued by this business the way they are valued by the families they become a part of and that this sudden disruption in our child's daily routine will stop. It's important for our child to have routine and people they know and trust in order for them to grow they way they should. Please stop making the hourly cuts and disrupting the comforts we have grown to expect.

My child has been going to ladybird since the first day the school opened and he loves going there because he’s made so many friends over the years and the teachers have always been kind to him. He even got to have Ms. Taylor as his vpk teacher and loves the fact that he still gets to see her everyday as the Director now.

We had two kids here for a few years and it was wonderful watching them learn and grow in this amazing and warm school. Cannot recommend a school more highly- such an amazing experience for our two little ones. We have been to multiple schools in both PA and FL and this was by far the best- hands down.

I just want to say I love my job and I will say my second home. When I first started I was a little nervous of what people thought cause I was a new person. But after my fifth month of being at this center I got employee of the month. It actually felt good after being in child care for over 4 years actually being recognized and feeling excepted. I love this place especially my 2 year olds they’re amazing. It’s a great place to bring your children as well as employment opportunities.

An amazing academy that accommodates the needs of every family. Outstanding leadership, great staff, great environment for our children. Highly recommend Ladybird Academt to any family looking for child care or looking to relocate. You won’t be disappointed!

Love this place! I can finally say my kids found a home not just a daycare. All the teachers know my kids names regardless of which class they teach. The environment is very welcoming, teachers and staff really show they care and love for the kids. I cannot recommend a better place to send your little ones. You have visibility to cameras to check on them regularly as well as updates on everything they do.
The curriculum gets the kids up to speed with their age levels, teaches sign language, reading, fundamental, motor skills. Prepares the children for school.
10/10 recommend.

We love it here! My son has come a long way from his first day of daycare. Lots of tears for awhile but over time, he has grown to love it and talks about "school days" regularly with us. His teachers are wonderful and I'm so thankful for them! We love Ms. Jennifer & Ms. Diamond. Thank you for taking such good care of our kiddo!:)
