Lago Mar Beach Resort & Club, Fort Lauderdale FL

This was a wonderful place to stay. Huge rooms. Amazing pool/patio with massive beach. Fine dining experience.

Great location, one of the last original beach hotels. Rooms could be modernized here and there. Overall we like the place and are visiting it for over 15 years now. Shoutout to Danny for great service at Promenade Bar.

Rooms are very outdated and very expensive. I don’t know what to say. We checked out after one night even though we were on a 7 day vacation. Other than that it’s nice! Loved the pools especially the adult area! We also liked the walk to the beach. Also free parking was awesome.

The rooms need to be renovated but are still in an acceptable condition. The property itself is clean and tidy, the service is great and the staff is very friendly.

We are now the third time and it is always nice here. The location is perfect, there are two pool areas one for kids and one for adults. Both are very well maintained and clean, it is also constantly cleaned and checked if everything is ok. The pools are always cleaned in the morning
The rooms are great. The service was also very courteous, if a room was too small, they exchanged it without any problems.
The sea is almost in front of the door.

Wow - I have to say some of these reviews are hilarious - why complain about the beautiful iguanas? I have been coming to Fort Lauderdale for many years as my place to relax and decompress. And Lago Mar is the place. A low key family place and the best private beach you could ask for. Is it outdated? Maybe a bit but who cares? The staff is exceptional and the food is fresh and delicious. And it hasn't changed. I highly recommend it and thank the Banks family.

This is the best resort I have been in the east coast of South Florida lately. Excellent customer service. The beach front suite that we stayed was perfect and accommodated the entire family with a beautiful view. The food was good and not expensive at all. Kids have a lot of fun bc the hotel has a lot of amenities, plus’s live music at the pool that was a plus’s. It is a hotel to have fun in a safe area and away from the craziness of Miami hotels.

Such an amazing place for a family, private beach, pools, restaurants with breakfast buffet, pool bar and suites with a full kitchen so you can cook your own food!

This is a amazing hotel, location and everyone friendly, specially front desk agents but Jaime the manager from the restaurant was super aggressive, telling us we can not have a bottle of champagne in a area close to the pool. (Bottle that we purchased from the hotel bar) and not a pool area. That was ugly encounter and expirience. Recommendation he need to go to a customer service training. Lear how to talk to customer staying at the place he work.

We have been going to the Lago Mar hotel for the last 12 years and I think this hidden gem is one of the best values in Fort Lauderdale and it's actually located on beach There are very few hotels on the beach ad the Lago mar has the largest beach front area of any of the local hotels. It is truly a 5 star resort, the rooms are spacious and gorgeous. The restaurant is incredible and the prices for food and drinks are reasonable.
The bast part of the experience is the people that work here There are people who have been here for as long as my family have been coming here, which has been 15-16 years, this is a testament to the hotel as most places churn employees. One of these people whom my family has come to love is Nikki "Nicole" who has been our unofficial concierge for all these years. She has recommended places to go and worked her magic to get my family of 20+ reservations at places that are not easy to get a table of four She remembers the names of everybody in my family and every thing we drink and or eat. She
is truly a gem and one of the reasons my family keeps coming back to the Lago Mar. If you're coming here ask for Nikki as she will get the job done and done right

We’ve stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. Due to the resorts location the beach feels as if it’s private. The staff have always been accommodating and friendly. Will stay here every time we are in Fort Lauderdale!
