I remember going up the elevator to the top in 1982 with a fantastic view of all the orange groves. I had a real feeling of uneasiness with an urge to jump, later found out someone did just that and the tower was cursed from a local witch.

It's sad that the area is not maintained. This is a great piece of history for the area. But no one is doing anything to revitalize the area. You have many vacant store fronts. There is a run-down motel that is used for housing for the fruit pickers. It's a shame that the City officials have allowed this to become an eye sore.

Went up it as a kid in the 80's when it was still functioning. Very windy up there. Remember sorry of a suicide off it, plaza below always felt haunted.
