After waiting two months for an appointment to see Dr. Dorsett I was being taken into an exam room by someone who had someone else's chart for me. Whe she went to the receptionist about it she said "Oh, I just put the wrong paper there. " Like no problem. The woman taking me into the office just walked away, the receptionist just went back to work and I was left standing in the hallway by myself. I said something to the effect of 'you're leaving me here and so now what? No one came back to me standing there, no one apologized for anything so I just cancelled my appointment and walked out. No follow up phone calls, nothing - never heard from anyone.
DO NOT GO THERE. I WAS GOING FOR EYE SURGERY. YOU ONLY GET ONE SET OF EYES AND THEY DON'T GROW BACK. STAY AWAY.

Good ophthalmologists for all ages. They offer excellent strabismus and cataract treatment. Many of the doctors speak Spanish.

I am very pleased with Dr. Leon's esotropia surgery on my daughter. Everything went perfectly! Her eyes are straight and she sees well without glasses! Before surgery Dr. Leon and her tech patiently explained what to expect and what is done during surgery. I also received lots of reading material on the surgery. I appreciate them going over the likely best and likely worst case scenario so I could make an informed decision. I highly recommend!

Great service and staff. Dr. Sichelman is very knowledgeable. Busy office so sometimes you will have to wait. They seem to make every effort to move you along.

I booked an appointment with this office a month ago after talking with my healthcare plan to ensure they accepted my insurance. They called to confirm my appointment 2 days ago in which they could have verified my insurance again, but rather than doing so, they waited until I arrived to the office and got halfway through new patient paperwork to tell me my insurance was not accepted at this office. It’s frustrating because for me, this was nearly a 40 minute drive from my home, and for nothing, not to mention the fact that when I scheduled the appointment they took my insurance information, so they should’ve been able to tell me right then if it were accepted or not. Maybe rather than just calling to confirm an appointment and then hanging the phone up, they should try to verify more information beforehand because I’m sure I’m not the first or the last person that this will happen to.

Very pleasant follow-up visit. Staff was great as was Dr. Gill. Glad I went to Lakeland Eye Clinic.

Although the staff are friendly the doctor did not instill enough confidence in me that she could help my sons eye issues therefore we found another doctor. Perhaps if it’s “regular” vision problems you will be fine but for problematic eye misalignment we went to a professional surgeon who gave us better odds.

Very unprofessional office expect extended wait times them moved to another waiting area. The check out person didn’t even acknowledge I had step to window but continued typing for several min. I understand if you need to finish but the professional response would have been to acknowledge the patient and say I ll be right with you. Follow up exam was not any better didn’t even seem to know why I was there. Could not recommend

Dr. Dorset did not fulfill my appointment. Did not even ask if the pingueculas are troublesome or painful. Just charted them.
After waiting 40 minutes. Dr. Dorsett Was in the room for less than 5 minutes.
He - Mostly discussed glasses and vision - which I was told to do with the optometrist. Not him.
What short amount of time he spent in the room he was:
Discussing tolerance of progressive or bi-focals to me as if I didn’t ‘try hard enough’
I own both.
I do have medical issues with my eyes other than vision. But he never fully examined my eyes.

I have been to other ophthalmologists throughout the country and never have I been completely negated as this.
Unsure what the hell I paid for or waited for.
Now… I have to make and pay for another eye appointment elsewhere.
SAVING GRACE TO THE STORY WAS ‘Lori’ the young lady who began appointment. I want to thank you. You were very professional and knowledgeable.

I waited a month for an appointment I went to the location they said to go to but it was closed with a sign saying they moved. When I found the new location they had no record of me in “their system” this seems more like a money laundering org than an actual doctors office.

The staff is very professional and friendly. They make sure I understand all instructions. Your office is very organized which makes everything run smoothly, in and out in a timely manner.

I received exceptional service at this clinic. I am a new patient and have been pleased with all the staff. Short wait times, friendly, and helpful. Dr. Jonell Gill-Davis and Dr. Kevin Dorsett were professional, caring and knowledgeable. My experience exceeded my expectations.

The clinic is always over booked. Should not take 2-3 hours for an appointment. They move you from waiting area to waiting area. No reason an appointment should take this long.
