Their are a few good coaches here who really love the kids and want them to enjoy the game but the main bases of the park is run on politics. The current president I think shouldn't even be allowed around younger children, he uses intimidation tactics, on 5 to 8 year olds, tells them not even to smile when batting "i only want to see serious faces", talks to them like he's disgusted if they strike out.etc. He has put out a statement saying that they use the young and less experienced umpires to coach the younger teams and he manipulates the umpires to make his calls. (This is not just a personal judgement but an issue many parents have complained about) I really hope that next season they have a new president but not only that, get this man away from children who are looking up to him. My five year old told him sorry his team lost and he ignored her and walked away. If this man is not taken out of leadership we will most likely not be back, I want my daughter to learn and have fun and he is setting a horrible example to these kids. The good coaches can save this league, they have good hearts and really teach the kids to have fun and how to play. I hope someone can make this change and get this park back to a wholesome baseball league.

Ehhh, I don't know how to feel. Kidd were hateful last year and this year is not turning much better after warning coaches about my son and I have literally watched kidd hit each other and watched things happen but yet supposedly only my child is aggressive. After something I watched last week I can understand why. I sit and watch I'm not a mom that has a group of moms or friends to talk to so I can see what's going on and I watch my sons behavior & have been told they got it when I'm getting into him goofing off in the field.
The fields are amazing, beautiful and I will say coaches are working more with the kids one on one this season. I've always avoided sports due to parent drama and the my kids perfect attitudes and clearly nothing has changed in the 18years my oldest did anything and I will be the 1st to stand up and say hey my kid has severe ADHD and come practice his meds have worn off so he is anxious and fidgety.
The league president had a couple teams which should not be allowed as they should be neutral. And I'm sorry but if kids on teams are in the competitive team for the field they shouldn't be chosen for the end of the season all star team other players on the team should have a chance to be recognized.

2 years with this league and it will be our last. This group plays "Daddy Ball". It seems to be structured on these coach Dads and their child.favorites are obvious. Politics are insanely horrible with this group! The coaches constantly fight with each other as games are being played! Like wow.right in front of my 6/7 yr old! Board members are everywhere on these fields trying to micro manage. There is a serious lack of commitment toward these kids trying to learn and or like baseball. Our coach this year kept the same kid playing 3rd base the entire year and this child only attended 2 practices the entire season. Why.because this child's Dad stated he is also on the AB leauge.so he gets plenty of practice and he knows what he is doing. This is his "Rec" team so this is just for fun and to keep him sharp. Sounds fair to the team.right? No one got to see if they could shine or learn that position due to this insane agreement! (This is only one example.mind you.) The league itself rarely shows support for the little kids who make up most of their community. High lights and photos are often posted for the older kids leaving the little ones with even less support. There is no wholesome baseball feel here. Playing in this league left my child confused, anxious that coach would be fighting during games, and lacking real baseball training and skill.for the 2nd year in a row! As a parent.this is not what we signed up for or expected. Shame on you guys for running a league this way. It is out of control! The only good here is the concession stand during the games.

Not a bad park
Just needs better attention. Sod on field is rough. Could get ball in the face on a bounce. Parking is less than adequate. The carter field is probably a better choice, about 15 minutes away.

If the kids could just play ball without the Coach drama and politics.it would be much better. We will be going to a different league moving forward.

Great place to watch some true baseball. The coaches I know there are great with the kids. The newer coaches are learning.

One of my favorite place for baseball practice and games. My granddaughter loves the kid friendly park. I do to its in eye sight with "a gate" I really like it because the park is right there where I can still watch the game unless im out by field 3 or 4.
