Lakeridge Animal Hospital, Clermont FL

We had an emergency on Friday 1/5/24 that they informed us the vet was already doubled booked all day and they are not taking any emergency for the day. They referred me to another vet that takes emegency walk-ins. Thanks God we found a vet that takes emergency walk-ins everytime no matter the situation. We called on Monday the following week to request the dog record. When they asked why we were requesting it, we told them because we found another vet that takes emegency walk-ins. They informed us the doctor couldnt take care of our dog on that Friday because there was no doctor available that day…. So was the doctor double booked or there was no doctor? Great vet but admin sector not much.

We are fairly new to the area and began using LRAH at the end of October for our 3 dogs (various sizes). We’ve seen 3 of the vets on rotation at this clinic, and each visit has been been great! You can tell the entire staff loves animals, and they’ve all been super patient on the phone as well as patient and tolerant when we bring our toddler with us. Our smallest pup went under care here for his neuter procedure, and they treated him with great care, loved on him, and raved about his friendliness. The vet md that performed the neuter was very thorough with us about the pup’s discharge. Definitely recommend!

To be clear, I have NOT taken my dog to this vet. My dog would be a new patient, and they wouldn't accept a last minute appointment for a nasty limp that he suddenly has because he wasn't an established patient.

As a prospective new customer, this is concerning to me. I understand that this is a small practice, but to not even offer an emergency visit for new patient animals even for a premium price doesn't exactly scream "we care".

With that said, the lady I talked to was very nice. I'm sure this is probably a quality establishment, but I hope that they read this and take my criticism into consideration. This is definitely the closest vet to my home, and it would have been very convenient to establish my dog's care with them.

I've been to several vets before this place, and am so happy I found Lakeridge. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. I know my fur babies are in great hands here.

The staff here are fantastic. Our little ball of floof is always cared for here, and she doesn't seem to mind much (probably the snacks). We had a concern recently, but unfortunately, there was no opening in the schedule, so the doctor asked for a photo of the concern. She quickly confirmed the problem and got us a script for what was needed.

We use Lakeridge for all our vet needs. I love the staff and doctors. They’re kind and quick.

Was refer to them by à friend. Everybody was very nice but when I ask them not to hit my dog in the head while he was getting à shot they ignored me and did it anyway. Let that solide and then it happened again with the same tech. I was outrages. Lucky for everyone that idiot moved to las vegas and everybody is good to her now. I guess some vets and tech don't réalise that not only are dogs considered property but their also family membership. Thank you las vegas for getting that idiot out of florida.

First visit.friendly, listen, explain.noticed an actual condition we had not spotted.were careful that hall clear of other animals.effective easy to take meds.dog.felt very good there.cost good.

Wonderful vet! They were booked but still managed to work us in. After spending 5 hours at an emergency vet we were in and out of there in less than an hour and the bill was a tenth of the price as what the emergency clinic quoted us.

Such a caring and engaged staff. They really do make it a comfortable environment for the kitties and the parents.

I called and they were booked two weeks out. This speaks volumes to me on how much people love this place. I spoke to the receptionist for nearly ten minutes as she explained the puppy vaccine process. I was delighted and relieved after speaking with them. Due to time constraints I ended up booking an appointment else where.

We have a mobile vet service due to our amount of animals, but they don't spay and neuter. We were referred here and took our Great Dane to get fixed. The Doctor and staff are amazing! Highly recommend!

Dr Esch and his staff are attentive caring and considerate of your pet. They are friendly and personable making you feeling at ease. When I moved into the area 4 years ago I was in search of a vet for my dogs. After a couple of different attempts to find good care I stubbled upon Lakeridge Animal hospital. I must say my search ended and am pleased with the care my dogs receive at Lakeridge. Going there you are received by a friendly staff and they always know exactly why you are there and are treated kindly and with respect.

The doctors and staff are concerned about your pets health. They take the time to evaluate and prescribe choices to best serve you and your pets.

Dr Jones miss diagnosed my dog. When I called at 8: 00 am worried about my baby they called me back at 2: 30 pm and told me to call the emergency vet at 6: 00 pm. They didn’t have time for her. I took her to Royal Oak who treated her immediately unfortunately it was to late. I had been taking my babies to Lakeridge for over a year. She should have been treated for a heart murmur months prior but Dr Jones was more concerned about her dry eye and allergies. My love bug passed last night due to Dr Jones treating every problem but the most dire problem which was her heart murmur. I don’t normally post negative reviews but this is about my love, my baby. The fact that they don’t care. Interestingly the fact that they noted a heart murmur was in her chart but never treated. I guess the dry eye medications and allergy medications must give a better kickback. So much for vets doing their jobs out of love for animals.
If you love your fur babies don’t bring them here the reception staff is fantastic but Dr Jones doesn’t care.

I love Lake ridge Animal Hospital! Dr Esch & Dr Jones are the best vets and take such great care of my pups! I always feel at ease with them and so do my dogs. They are very informative in educating me and always answer my questions.

Staff is super friendly and accommodating. They easily figured out our German Shepherds issue and even have her taking treats from them when she is usually not a people person. Highly recommend this place! This place is high recommended!

I had an appointment and when I arrived with my cat to have here nails trimmed, I was told that they did not have time for me and that the staff member that took and made my appt should not have done so. WHY IS THAT THE CUSTOMER'S PROBLEM? Handle me, and take it up with the employee later.don't turn me away cause someone there screwed up.
If that wasn't insult enough, a staff member named Jen talked down to me and actually said, "well we haven't seen your cat since 2021". So what difference does that make? Then she agreed to cut her nails if she would cooperate without being put under which they usually had to do in the past. She does not like being handled and they know that. In any case, they acted like they were doing me a favor! Rude and nasty. Stay away!

Dr. Diment is awesome. He is patient with our dog who can be skittish. If you are looking for a great facility, with great Vets and great staff then look no further.
