This church does not preach the message of Christ. Calvinism is nothing but nonsense. What is the purpose of preaching ‘repent or perish’ when the non elect can’t repent and the elect can’t perish? God draws you to Him to give you the opportunity, using your free will, to accept or deny Him. Stay away from calvinism. Stay away from fanaticism of men. Follow Jesus, become a Christian.

Solid biblical teaching of The Word of God! Steve and the rest of the elders and pastors are all biblical in the presentation of Gods Word! And the Christ family is such a blessing!

I'm submitting this review after a 5 year break of prayer and seeking the Lord since leaving LCC/LCS. We both attended and worked and volunteered here for a total of 12 years. I have prayed about how to address this publicly since the leadership has already been addressed privately. I won't discuss what happened to us personally right now, just give a couple of observations on actual things witnessed that should send you running towards Jesus in the opposite direction of LCC

We did not see Jesus worshipped or lived out very often, especially in the leadership where the elders don't respect each other, make fun of each other and their meetings are a giant joke to them of posturing and defending territory.

We experienced and witnessed a severe lack of Lord honoring servant leadership while at the same time participating in the seemingly never-ending all-church-every-5-year-celebrations to 'honor' themselves. Why not honor the people who have quietly served behind the scenes for decades and not been paid for a minute? Not sure.

A couple of heartbreaking examples of lack of Jesus love from the many I witnessed - While working at the church I was taught to tell homeless (through a buzzer system) asking for help or prayer that the pastors were 'too busy' to pray with them because 'we all knew they would just ask for money' and the pastor's time couldn't be taken with them. We directed them down the street where LCC had already made their donations. Also, witnessed sermons be toned down or current idolatrous events ignored because they 'may lose 501c3' status. I'm sure the Lord cares more about speaking to the current darkness than the tax exempt status.

While working at the school that serves mostly struggling families on government assistance, I witnessed the church leaders and their families pull their kids out because they didn't want them around 'those kids', including a pastor's wife that called the kids 'thugs' after one of her grandsons had issues. I also saw and was made to participate in the squeezing out of 2 widows who had worked at the school for decades and also served at the church tirelessly. Neither knew ahead of time and both were severely financially impacted and emotionally distraught over what happened.

The tension between the church and the school is ridiculous and does not honor God and the school families knew it. I had many families and youth over the years tell me that they couldn't attend the church because they 'weren't like them' and no one acknowledged them when they did attend. I was told time and time again there was no love at the church for anyone 'outside'.

Please pray before attending and let the Lord guide you, not the comforts and celebration of any one man or group of men.

I sought the Lord and the Lord led me out through the amazing leadership of my husband and I have never loved Jesus more or seen Jesus more clearly since the day we left. All glory to Him that changed our hearts and gave us His love to love others!

The pastors at this Church are solid teachers. Pastor Steve and Pastor Joe teach the true word of God and no one else. The Church teaches sound Biblical doctrine, not the philosophies of the world. Highly recommend!

This church loved me when I hated them and God. They prayed me into salvation by grace alone. What love is this that they cared for me a pill addict. What love is this that I am now free. What love is this that I am now called a child of God! Thank you Lakeside Church and continue glorifying our Father in heaven and the only name by which we must be saved - Jesus Christ - he is mighty to save!

This is a true church that studies accurate Bible verse by verse sermons
I looked for years to find this church and it’s only 5 minutes from me! Praise Jesus. The people are real, warm and caring. Please come and bring your Bible!
