Laketown Wharf Resort by Emerald View Resorts reviews
16 Location is good BUT
Elevator nightmares
Parking security nazis
Long corridors where you can waste tons of time
The room that I was assigned had been poorly cleaned. Bathing suit was left in bathroom. Room smelled foul. Management moved us to another room. This used to be my favorite resort. They’ve changed greatly they add all these additional fees onto your stay. Was charged $150.00 for a cleaning fee and it was non refundable with the room in excellent condition. Parking fee was another $95.00.this used to be my favorite place to stay at during vacation. The extra fees were never charge back in recent years. I don’t know what’s happened, but I was extremely dissatisfied. I paid more money in fees than I did for the room. Please review fees in hidden print before you book a stay here.
We stayed in the Airbnb unit. It was the 13 floor. Nice view of the ocean. The sunset was beautiful.
I could see the beautiful Gulf relaxing on my balcony, but Spring Break spoiled my solitude with so many loud, rude college kids and their partying in and around the complex. Security and law enforcement did their best to help. The pools are nice, but only one is heated. Access to the beach is just across the road. Elevator waiting is an issue in March. Fast food and bar food is convenient, as well as Walmart for essentials. The Warf staff and shops were welcoming, and my room was comfortable
Don't believe the pictures you see online. Even though this building was built in 2008, it's a dump. The HOA is an absolute mess, maintenance is terrible, and the whole building is run down. The pools are constantly out of service, the carpets are filthy in all the hallways, everything is rusting and the elevators are beat to heck. You file a complaint to have something repaired, and all they do is just Band-Aid it. The entire maintenance and cleaning staff should be fired.
Great place to stay with many amenities and the beach is 2 minutes across a 2 lanes street.
This resort is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!
Their security staff is GARBAGE.
The bartender at lulus was extremely rude. They have around 100 plus empty parking spaces in the front labeled retail and even though i had a parking pass, spent money at their business, and was a guest of someone living at the resort they towed my car.
Had a wonderful experience staying here and celebrating our 20th Anniversary. There are some things in the condo that can be improved. No shower mat. Etc.
Decent room fare but crazy high cleaning fee! Otherwise an amazing stay. Can accommodate 4 people comfortably. Beautiful views of the gulf from the balcony.
The room is beautiful. View of the lake behind us and the beach in front. 5 pools to choose from and a nice gym.
It's just an awesome place to stay. If you don't want to you don't even have to leave Laketown. They have all sorts of shops on sight.
Great location! Great amenities with the coffee shop, restaurants on site and walking distance. The lightshow is wonderful, when they actually do it! However, some of the up keep/cleaning could use assistance. The baseboards were disgusting in the bathroom. The washing machine smelled so, so bad! And the floors were dirty and gritty in our room. The staff at the coffee shop, A+! Staff throughout the rest of the resort, not the best at being courteous. We all have bad days, but if yours is every day at work; probably time to get a different job!
The place is nice enough to enjoy your stay. We rented our room via Air B&B and our room was nice and well kept up. The resort property could be updated however. New paint is needed throughout, especially on room doors and railings. The pools were very cold although one was advertised as heated and covered, it is not. Too cold to enjoy them even though the weather temps were near 80 degrees. They could benefit from adding at least one more large hot tub because the two that they have, get really crowded.
Although we did witness staff picking up trash, there was more trash on the ground than I cared to look at (people shouldn't litter, period), but more attention is needed in this area. Elevator interiors are outdated and one of the elevators, " 2C " I believe, wouldn't stop on our floor. So we avoided it. The light and music water fountain show each night was fun to watch.
Nice place to stay. The security staff is very helpful. The front desk could use additional personnel to speed up check-in. But the person working was very efficient and worked quickly.
Good location.
Beautiful, well appointed condo 317! Our family of 5 had a blast! The location is close to all the fun & the food! Will stay again
We are currently staying here in unit 1731 & it's been nothing short of amazing! I've read the reviews but we haven't had any problems as previously stated. The condo we're staying in is newly renovated, clean, & amazing! Check in was easy, staff is very friendly, fountain water show was beautiful tonight, buffet was good (especially the crab legs), & security was nice with the coming & going with our wristbands. We will definitely be back!
