Land O Lakes Recycling reviews
7 If you come here to sell your metal make sure you pay close attention because they will rip you off whether it's a 100 pounds or a 1000 pounds they will get you I pulled in to the scale at 4840lbs
Waited for the scale to Settle And that was the exact weight When I looked at the paperwork when I was getting paid it said 4720 This place is a scam
Supervisor mary called me an idiot
On my arrival
What a great way to welcome your customers
Quick loading process and helpful staff, especially Mary, she’ll guide you on and off the scales, pull your tandem pins and help you slide without you getting out. And she assists with the split weight.
This place is a rip off! Absolutely ripping off anyone who doesn't know better or won't speak up. I went in there with 2 batteries and a little over 3 lbs of copper. Which they weighed on a large pallet style scale. I used a digital scale and the difference was more than two pounds. I mean come on people that was over three ponds of fine copper and your gonna try to weight it in on that kind of open large scale? Then let's not even talk about the batteries, even small town Dunedin pays a minimum of $10 a battery. This joke of a place paid $7 for 2, yeah that's right. Two batteries. Never again! Rip off! What a waste of my time!
There is NOTHING fair with this scrap yard, I brought a mobile home trailer for scrap and they told me I couldn't put it on the scale bc a tire wasn't on one of the rims. So they said they would give me $20 with NO paperwork. Like it was gonna help out or something. Last time I came which was like 3 years ago. They were giving 4 cents for steel and tried to give me 1 cent for dirty aluminum. This place is really a joke. I would recommend going somewhere else
If you’re in the middle of a transaction with them. And lunch breaks hit. They don’t leave anybody behind to finish the transaction so. If you’ve been waiting for the scale which happens often. Then you either have to come back later or just cash out. You don’t have an opportunity to weigh the more precious metals at the scale. The people here are all friendly. Everybody works hard. They don’t pay nearly as much as the bigger cities per 100 pounds. But for convenience, it’s local to us here in Brooksville and Spring hill.
