Lantower Westshore Apartments, Tampa FL

I do not recommend this apartments, horrible parking situations, cars towed all the time for no reason or for taking some of yellow lines, no parking for your guests, elevators do not work most of the time and management is aware of those issues.
Do not Rent! You won’t be pleased

Lantower Westshore is such a wonderful community! I love the amenities and the location. Special shout out to the office staff! They are so helpful and kind.

I have had an amazing experience living at Lantower Westshore, I am currently in my third lease. I have seen some of the negative reviews on here and I feel they are a little exaggerated. I have never had any issues or complaints. All service calls have been responded to in a timely manor and the front office has always been extremely helpful (Jamie & Maggie). I HIGHLY advise considering Lantower Westshore if you are in the market.

Still live here and will continue to update. Summary (11/19/2019) so far after 3 months:

Pros:
- Friendly/responsive staff
- Proximity to International plaza across the street/airport and other places
- Pet Friendly (I have two small dogs)
- Pool
- Lounge with entertainment
- Fair pricing
- Quiet

Cons:
- Not a very clean place
- Packages frequently stolen
- Parking and apartments on different floors
- Very limited guest parking
- Only one person in the office on weekends who usually is out showing apartments (people walk in and find no one and walk out. I’m here now watching it happen)
- Rarely pick up phone calls even when in office (try calling them and see)
- Dog poop all over the place and people spray paint the grass orange so you can be cautious of it (walk around the front and back to see the orange spray-painter grass) and gets worse every week (management does not care)

Overall:

If I had more time to find a place, I would have no moved here. I’m considering breaking my lease for the two months penalty. For the same price and a better level of living, check out Novus Westshore Apartments down the block from here. They have two jacuzzi and their pool was built by the company that helped construct Disney World.

I’ve contacted management on several occasions about dog poop left around the building (check out my Yelp review for photos, if you want to see dog poop lol). They are responsive but they don’t know how to enforce cleaning up of dog feces. What I want to say is that some of the people here don’t respect this place and management still hasn’t figured out how to remedy the situation. I told them about my other place that was four times bigger with four times the number of dogs and they got cameras and caught people and fined and evicted repeat offenders. That worked. Hopefully they install a couple cameras to solve this situation soon.

Also, the dogs pee in the elevator or the stairwell. The cleaning team they have doesn’t come on weekends or maybe random weekends. A month ago it smelled like harsh dog urine in the elevator Friday to Monday. A dog peed again Thursday night in same elevator. I understand messes happen, since I have two dogs, but the owners don’t clean it up and management takes days to find it and clean it. A garlic spill in the stairwell last 4-5 days until it was cleaned. When they clean they also spray this harsh Clorox-type chemical and it burns your eyes and throat and there are no signs warning you before you enter the stairwells. I’ll post photos on Yelp. Actually just walking downstairs I found someone left a sofa can on the floor (photo on Yelp). I also just showed management a photo of dog poop outside on the corner and I’ll come back and edit and let you know how long it stays there after just showing them. They only have one person in the office on weekends and they are usually busy showing apartments so good luck reaching them on weekends, when most residents are home.

The WiFi is weak, especially in the gym. They told me the Amazon delivery people or kids in the building steal packages a lot so have them held at the office. But of course if you work, then they are closed when you come home so you have to wait until the weekend. Most places now have a package delivery box that texts you when your package is there and you go to the machine to get it. I mentioned it to them but no feedback was given. The people in this building are a decent mix of all professions, from college age to working professionals and families.

Overall, don’t move here. Check out Novus for similar pricing and much better living. As I mentioned, I’ll most likely break my lease here soon if this isn’t remedied. Management is aware of this information as I have let them know several times.

It’s unfortunate to write a not so good review because the people here are nice, but the living environment needs some significant improvement.

If conditions improve (or worsen), I’ll come back and update. As of today, 11/16/2019, check out Novus or maybe Millenium next door.

Very nice to stay somewhere close to everything that is affordable and beautiful. We will definitely be back.

I posted earlier after only living here a month and things were going good. Since that time, we have discovered at least thirty Airbnb apartments that they rent out and these people do not follow the non smoking policy of the community. The noise and utter disrespect for us residents who pay a lot of rent to live here is unbelievable. I have brought this to the attention of management and instead of fixing this problem they label me a complainer and ignore me. I cannot recommend this complex to anyone as I don’t feel like I’m living in a luxury apartment community. I definitely don’t think the rent corresponds with what we were told about when we decided to move into this community.

What an incredible place to live! We have lived here for 6 years and have no intention of leaving. There are so many obvious things to love about living in this area-the close proximity to so many restaurants, easy access to the International Mall, close to the stadium and downtown, etc.

However, it's the 'onsite' benefits we love most. Those include a great maintenance team. We have rarely had anything needing repair, but when we have, they have responded so promptly and the issue was fixed the first time. The office staff is so kind and always helpful! They're always a pleasure. Also, an important point for us is the continued maintenance of the community. This gets 5 stars and more. The amenities and grounds are as beautifully maintained as the day we moved in.

We thoroughly enjoy living here and cannot recommend it highly enough!

Lantower is in a great location! The community events are always fun and the entire staff is super friendly! Dani is the best!

I have lived at Lantower Westshore for almost two and a half years. The Lantower team is awesome, second to none! Julie, Jamie, Dani and Maggie are always fun to talk to and always there to help. The maintenance staff respond to requests super fast and always resolve the issue at hand.resident events are great and give us a chance to see all of our neighbors on a regular basis. I've lived in two different floorplans and loved them both. I would recommend Lantower Westshore to anyone looking for a place to call home!

We have only lived her for 18 days but so far have found the staff exceptional and the other residents friendly and kind. Everyone has been helpful and a pleasure to talk to. I love that the staff has different activities like taco Tuesday and they had a relaxing evening with a massage therapist and a chiropractor and I love these activities because I’m retired and it gives me a chance to meet other residents living here. I’d recommend lantower westshore to anyone.

BEST Decision ever! Hands down the most convenient place to be and not to forget all the amenities makes it a staycation. If I didn’t have to go to work I would never leave. Come check it out with Dani and Maggie who are AMAZING!

Amazing place to live and the leasing team is always really nice even if you constantly bother them. The walls are much more thicker than other apartments too you really can’t hear anything. The gym also has a wide array of machines and free weights and the pool is heated. Only times I had something break down maintenance came within the day and fixed it. Food trucks and really fun events every other week. Also a Pokestop and Harry Potter inn in the building.

I have stayed here for an year, never really had any problems of maintenance but -

-Fire alarm of the building has got me up thrice in the middle of night, it’s so disturbing
-Rent increase is more than 10% after one year of lease which is a bummer
-Guest parking is always full, I wish there were more parking

This was absolutely the best decision I’ve made in the past couple weeks! I am so in love with LanTower Westshore everyone is extremely friendly! My apartment is freaking BEAUTIFUL the whole place is well built all around. (the office smells like heaven) keep up the good work LanTower!

Moved to Lantower Westshore just over a month ago and have been very happy with everything thus far. The Leasing Team (specifically, Dani and Maggie) has been incredible to work with and they’re always so polite, professional, and quick to respond! The maintenance team here is stellar and the grounds and common areas are always immaculate. LOVE it here!

I've renewed my lease 3 times so far. The staff here is amazing. The building is like a vault. Concrete construction. You cant hear your neighbors! Highly recommend!

Dani and Maggie make life easy, I travel a lot for work and always know at ease with these two on property. Kudos Julie for running a tight ship! #lantower

I absolutely love it here at Lantower. I’ve been here for 9 months and it’s been great. The rest staff are so attentive to your needs and Danzelle is great for guest relations so warm and personable.

Constant facility malfunctions, rude office staff, hidden fees. For the price of a “luxury” apartment these people treat you like absolute trash.

My friends lived at the Millennium next door and the facility was much nicer and front office staff actually cared about you.

Constant malfunctions with LandTower: front door, elevator, fire alarm system, parking garage gate, pool. I pay too much money to have to walk around the entire apartment in the rain to the back door or carry 3 Suitcases up flights of stairs because the elevator doesn’t work.

I’ve lived here for some time (1.5+ years) and once spoke very highly of the community, its staff, and amenities. A little background in case you think I’m a scorned resident: never paid my rent late, never had a complaint against me, do not have a history of writing negative reviews in general. Used to really love this place, especially when Allie was the property manager. Live in a 2bdr/2ba and pay $2000+ per month.

In recent months, what seems to be a change to the property management company’s values and/or culture has had a negative impact. Lantower has begun to rent out vacant units as vacation rentals on websites and apps. This has led to an increase in loud, disorderly conduct which can and has awoken me and my child on several occasions at night, damage to the property, and more than one biological mess left in the halls and/or stairway. This is not a college style apartment; it is marketed as professional residences.

The property manager is apathetic, refusing to even return a phone call when I asked her if she could speak to me about the background checks being performed on these guests. The safety of Lantower Westshore was a key factor in my decision to move in and, with a small child, it continues to be. For these reasons, I will not be renewing my lease which is sad; we have come to call this home. What adds to that pit in my stomach is that it really doesn’t seem like anyone from Lantower cares.
