Larb Thai-Isan, Fort Lauderdale FL

While I'm not expert on Thai cuisine, this restaurant was recommended to us by a taxi driver who was from Thailand. He said that it was a very authentic Thai restaurant. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get a table on a Wednesday evening, which tells you how popular it is. For appetizers, we ordered the Moo Ping and the Thai Lettuce Wrap. Both were excellent. I ordered the Red Curry with fried tofu for my main course, and it was absolutely incredible. The bowl came with plenty of curry sauce, and the tofu soaked up the flavor wonderfully. It also included a generous side of white rice in a smaller bowl. Everyone in our party remarked at how delicious their meals were, with one friend stating that this was the best Thai restaurant he had ever eaten at. The table service was excellent, with attentive staff who were patient with us as we navigated the large menu and asked questions. The dining area itself is long and narrow, unlike a more traditional restaurant. My feeling is that this is the only drawback to the eat-in experience - the dining room itself is not large like a standard eatery. As a result, some of the tables are quite close together. Overall, however, I would say that Larb is a top-notch Thai restaurant, with high quality food and dedicated staff.

Really good food and good service. We ate outdoors and the flavors of the food were great the tum kah soup was really good. They work as a team to provide good service and it was quick and pleasant. We will return for sure.

Not many Thai palces run by Thai people — the food here is pretty legit. I tried Khao Soi for the first time and it was delicious. Also recommend the Thai Milk tea which was flavourful and rich, not watered down at all. Skip the shrimp pad thai though, it tasted very similar to Thai Express. Lastly, we were disappointed they ran out of mango sticky rice.

My husband and I get LARB Thai once a week. It's the best around here in Pompano. We got take out this evening and it was as good as always. We got done eating and my husband was like, Oh no I left my wallet on the counter at LARB I'll run back down. I called and the lady said she had it safe for him. I called him back and told him that his wallet was safe. And this is another reason to keep going back! That's not always the case!

Really interesting concept and food.
Delicious and yummy, tried many things. Food is fresh and authentic Thai. Best fried bananas ever eaten so far.
Everything is great. The toilet is clean. The place is busy but very worth it.
Chicken Cashew very great and the Papaya Salas amazing and fresh.

Bustling Thai/vietnamese restaurant serving incredibly fresh, authentic cuisine. The flavors were amazing & I highly recommend it. Portions are generous, and prices are quite fair. The restaurant has a bit of eclectic flair with indoor & outdoor seating, playing asian "upbeat" and pop like music. It is located in a tiny strip mall. The clientele were comprised of a wide range of people, obviously coming for the great food. I tried this place based on reviews & it did not disappoint.

What a delicious khao soi! I opted for the chicken and loved this mix of light and dark meat nestled in a creamy noodle curry. Friendly servers, too. At peak busy times you may need to wait for a table and food will come out as it’s ready. It’s worth the wait.

I’m in no way versed in authentic Thai cuisine lol but authenticity in this case does not matter, the food is always delicious. Me and my girlfriend frequent this restaurant at least one a week. Atmosphere is cozy and alive, food is comforting and delicious without being over the top complicated. Feels like it’s made with care everytime. As a chef myself I personally appreciate simplistic food and this hits every note for me. I could go on and on but you have to try it for yourself.best part is it’s not expensive, in a world where going out to even large corporate restaurants is expensive and breaks the bank they shine with good portions with reasonable cost that doesn’t make you sweat leaving a good tip lol.

Great Isan food, pretty authentic and very similar to food from the region in Thailand. Service at the restaurant was perfect.

Good food. Service is a hit or miss. Some servers are nice. Some are miserable and rushing you to order.

First time coming here and it won’t be the last. This was the best Thai food I have ever had. It’s so hard to find a Thai place that’s better than mid. This place does get packed but the service moves fast. I was there with my boyfriend and only had to wait 5mins for a table. The decor was really cool with the posters on the wall and they had a display of the taxi cab from Thailand there. The food was amazing! This restaurant had the best chicken wings, fried calamari, and pad si ew. Pad Si Ew at Thai restaurants is important to me because it’s my favorite dish. I can’t wait to bring friends here.

I drove from Miami and it was deff worth it. Food was outstanding and authentic. Servers were sweet and attentive. It gets pretty busy so be prepared to wait anywhere from 30min to an hour. There’s a seating area where you can order a beer or wine while you wait.

Went here with the family (6 people). Didn't wait long for a table. Service was great, very friendly staff. Food was delicious, I tried the Vegetable Pad Thai very good, not a spicy dish but full of flavors. We had a few other dishes that did not disappoint. I will definitely will recommend this place to friends.

Absolutely fantastic! Flavors were otherworldly. Dishes came out piping out and just so unique tasting and fresh. We had Moo Ping, Duck Salad, Tom Kha Kai soup, Pad Thai, Khao Soi. The only downside was that they ran out of sticky mango rice which had been highly recommended. But yeah, easily the best Thai food I’ve ever had and a meal I won’t forget.

Service is pretty slow, i literally paid few dollar tips on over a 100 bill because the service were horrible that the food came a bit cold, and it's okay nothing really special I saw. Beef was dry, chicken was not good, their curry and rice was good. Employees definitely need to know how to respond specially the waiter serving your table even if you walk after them they keep going and ignore you. 3 stars for the curry and rice they serve

Great food and friendly service. This is our new go to Thai for the area. Noodle dishes have less noodles and more veggies and protein which was incredible!

I had the pleasure of eating at this authentic Northern Thai restaurant about a year ago. Although small, the atmosphere was welcoming and the open view cooking was a pleasure to watch. The menu contained dished not found on most Thai menus in the states as well as the standards that those less adventurous would enjoy, such as Pad Thai. Everything ordered at the table that included appetizers, several entrees and desserts, was incredible. There were so many layers of flavor, it was obvious the dishes were created slowly with love instead of being rushed like many other restaurants. The service was outstanding and they accommodated those with gluten sensitivities. I hope to go back soon!

Wow, finally got some khao soi chicken like we enjoyed in Chang Mai, Thailand. It was delicious! Very authentic. Wife enjoyed her lettuce wraps and spring rolls. Can't wait to come back. Highly recommended.
