Lark Central Florida

Just a quick SHOUT OUT to Lark Central Florida for everything that we have experienced so far with my daughter living here. I was SO NERVOUS about my 18 year old daughter moving into a place of her own. But after our initial visit to the Community and talking with several of the staff members. My mind was put at ease. EVERYONE we have dealt with in the front office has been EXTREMELY helpful and pleasant to deal with. Any problems or issues that we brought to their attention was handled immediately and successfully. The Community has some really nice amenities and the room my daughter shares with her friend was really nice! The rooms are well equipped and the furniture and beds appeared to be brand new. One of the BIG things that I really liked about this Community is the fact my daughter can park her car in the secure parking garage and has access directly to her floor and hallway from the garage! Her car is always covered and safe inside the parking garage. So far my daughter has lived here at Lark Central Florida since August. But I have already renewed her contract for NEXT year. So she will be living here until at least July of 2023. And possibly beyond depending on where she stand with her schooling at UCF! THANK YOU LARK CENTRAL FLORIDA for such a nice Community and making me feel safe with my daughter living here! Keep up the EXCELLENT jobs you do. And CHARGE ON/GO KNIGHTS!

Found a dead rat near one of the apartment’s parking spots. Gone but not forgotten

Lark central Florida has so much potential but the management really makes this place the worse. The apartments themselves are nice as well as the pool. The gym is very tiny and is not taken care of. The hallways are disgusting and only get cleaned right before it’s time to move in once a year. Hallways are full of cockroaches, spiders, and plenty of grime. The elevators are constantly not working as well as the garage gates. All of this isn’t the reason I’m leaving the review even though these are all frustrating inconveniences. The reason I’m leaving this review is because Lark is basically out to get you. They jump at any and every opportunity to try to charge you for pretty much anything. The worse part is that they will charge for damages and not fix the damages! They will make future tenants have to deal with any of the problems and basically just pocket the money they charged. I’ve lived here for two years now and have personally seen this happen to countless people. The only reason I’m still here is because they did not let me out of the lease I signed. In all I love my room and my apartment, but the management makes living here miserable.

Great place to live! I was given a tour by Jake, and he did absolutely amazing with it. Super personable guy, I felt at home right away. Highly recommend

I just wanted a simple tour of the place but I was definitely given more than I was asked. I think I had Jake Elijah? Anyways super dope guy n he helped me figure out what I wanted as a college student. He shared with me his own personal experience and I look forward to living at Lark.

I really enjoyed living here! Whenever something broke maintenance was quick to help and they were friendly. Whenever I needed help with something else Jake was happy to help up in the leasing office! Get here and talk to Jake about your living arrangements and you won’t be disappointed!

Jake is the goat always takes care of me whenever I need. The place is cool but my favorite part is being on a first name basis with my boy jake. Jake is a hero thank u jake.

Very friendly and helpful staff. They answered all my questions and made the process very easy showed me around and made me feel very comfortable I love the layout of the apartments and it's very clean

Living at Lark Central Florida has been a great experience and I would recommend this place to any student! The office is always helpful and has a wonderful attitude. I would like to give a shout out to Kyle who gave me a tour and helped me through my leasing process. His knowledge and customer service reassured me and my parents that i was choosing the right place to live. The maintenance team as well has been quick to complete work orders efficiently and effectively.

The place is super nice and in such a great location! Really appreciate it being seconds away from campus and all it offers as far as amenities! The best help I got was from Jake Elijah, great worker you got there.

I LOVE LARK! The staff is so friendly and helpful! There was this one employee Jake at the front office that always helped me when I had any questions! Great service! Definitely recommend.

DO NOT MOVE HERE! Front desk does not care they try to act nice but they completely disregard any worrisome issues! I called front desk to tell them that I did not want maintenance in my room at that time and they did not do anything but say “sorry”. While I was in the shower maintenance CAME INTO MY BATHROOM WITHOUT EVEN KNOCKING! And when my mother had to get involved they STILL DID NOT CARE! Not to mention that they while falsely charge you on things that do not exist! I had to record my room in detail and they STILL tried to charge me for damages in a room that was not even mine! I have already said it but I will say it again that place was crawling with roaches and rotting food that people would just leave in the halls. Not to mention the continuously smelled of urine (while I saw by the entrance of my apartment door MULTIPLE TIMES) Do not recommend this place to ANYONE! -Giana Gutierrez

Not a great place so far. The common areas where you take the tour look beautiful, but the areas where people actually live are pretty awful. Hallways are disgusting and are constantly covered in spills, vomit and whatever other nasty things you can think of. There are roaches outside all the time, and in the parking lot I can hear what sounds like a squealing rat or mouse, so I'm sure roaches aren't the only issue. The internet connection is also very bad. Regardless of whether I use wifi or a wired ethernet connection, the internet sometimes slows to a painful crawl, to the point where it takes 10-15 seconds just to load an image. I've measured speeds as low as 0.2 mbps using a wired connection, not good! Also, the house has a musty, damp smell and even though the thermostat is set to 70 (which is as low as it can go), my room is usually at 78 degrees. The appliances are also beyond disgusting, there was a thick layer of filth in the dishwasher so you can be sure these apartments aren't cleaned or inspected before you move in.

DO NOT LIVE HERE! Before I moved here in August I heard a lot of complaints from people I talked to and wish I would have listened. I don't even know where to start from the management, the roaches, or maintenance. The front office workers are practically clueless and give out wrong information all the time and it all stems from the General manager. She is extremely rude and will not cooperate with anything you have to say. A few amount of front desk workers are nice but it doesn't matter when they don't know what they're talking about.

My roommate and I have found countless roaches in our apartment and in the hallways leading to them. There is clearly a roach infestation that I doubt is getting controlled at anytime. On top of that, appliances constantly break and our drains are always having issues. Maintenance workers are nice but half the time don't even come to fix work orders (maybe because they have so many or they just don't care). I can count many times when workers barge into our apartment unannounced, some even not in uniform and half the time can't even give me a clear reason why they're there in the first place. The service is horrible and the wifi never works which is a pain for school work. They don't offer cable anymore either.

I was stupid enough to re-sign here for next year back in February and I just found out yesterday they terminated my new lease a week before I was supposed to move in to my new apartment, (which was really a blessing in disguise because now I don't have to live in this dump anymore but also screws me over because now I have less than a week to find a new place to live)

Bottom line even with a new name, Lark, formally known as University house is the most unprofessional place I have ever known and can't believe I wasted as much money here as I did. No way should they be charging what they are for what you get. I would advise anyone to stay away from this place at all costs.

DO NOT RENT HERE. I have lived here for 2 years, the hallways are always filled with dead insects, trash, vomit, etc. Management will try and charge you for damages you are not responsible for and will fail to respond to inquiries in a timely manner. DO NOT RENEW, they will not replace your low quality furniture as they do with all other apartments and then charge you for damages.
