Larry and Penny Thompson Memorial Park, Miami FL

First time at this park and didn't realize it was a natural reserve! Beautiful trails with lots of native Florida plants and trees.

Family Event waS a Success. We was able to bring the family together for my mom & all that attended.it was such a Blessing b4 she went home to be with the Lord! Wishing the Pandemic gets better so we can do it again!?

Bikes and equipments are frequently stolen inside the park.
There is a hole in the fences and no security to take care of.

The park is BEAUTIFUL however not the best for cross country competition. The paths are very narrow and difficult to move ahead your competitors

The reason for my one star is not for the park. The park is beautiful. Just the fact that i was told they do not allow dogs that are on a leash, but they do allow horses that can actually kick you and kill you. They have a whole bunch of cats and a dog that’s always there. There’s also a sign that says beware of rabies from the animals in the park. If they don’t allow dogs on a leash maybe they should control the animals they have and get rid of the rabies. That’s more important.

Peaceful, spacious - a low-key sanctuary from the stressful traffic in the surrounding areas. There seem to be many places to simply sit and meditate or walk/jog/ride a bike, and some nice picnic shelters.

I enjoy this park, it's very peaceful and this is where i taught my son to ride his bike without training wheels. Cons are they have red ant piles throughout the grass of the park so you have to be very mindful of where you step and they have a "beach", waterside thing going on but those waterslides need to either be deep cleaned or rebuilt because there is mildew/mold on them.

The best park in all of Miami! Awesome cross-country running trail and the best RV / trailer park in all of Miami Dade county. Plus the staff are absolutely incredible and so sweet! Love this place ️

Friendly staff and ample space for parking. I wish the RV sites were a bit better but you can’t complaint about a state park

Fascism is alive and well here. If you aren't a fascist, don't drive a long distance. You'll be refused service (per the "mayor")

A nice and quiet place to walk doing exercises enjoy a relaxing time and the remodelations in progress will provide a beautiful place to enjoy the RV mobile park.can't wait until is finished.and the remodelations on pavilion on the little beach will be a great addition.

This park is simple yet beautiful it's senic views are relaxing especially by the lake don't expect to catch much though

None of the bathrooms or showers are operating
The pools closed
There is no overflow parking for overnight
The beach area is only open on weekends from 11 to 5.

Hey guys! I personally enjoy this park for exercising, having fun with kids, spare time with peacefull views of the lake and green areas!
It could be so awesome because by just adding recycling bins for recyclable items, people actually can be directed and aware that trash can be sorted.
I know it's possible! Overall this park has my eyes and heart with best wishes always!

Went for a baby's gender reveal of a friend. Everything clean. Great breeze. Nice park to walk around.
