I rarely write reviews even when I’m satisfied with a product or service but I felt overly compelled to share my experiences and satisfaction regarding my legal representation with Scott Moorey and Lance Dunford.

If I could give this firm a 6-star review I would because they went above and beyond in every way imaginable.

I was facing certain jail time and decided I needed to hire the best private legal counsel I could to help defend me. After contacting several high-profile lawyers from Sarasota to Naples I was told by nearly every one of them that with criminal record and a violation of probation I was facing that the best possible outcome would most likely be 30 days in jail and potentially much longer.

After careful consideration into which law firm to retain I ended up retaining Scott Moorey. I wasn’t promised or guaranteed anything other than that they would do everything in their power to achieve the best possible outcome.

Lance Dunford personally represented me during my VOP proceedings and was very responsive and kept me in the loop at all times. When so finally went to court I pretty much conceded to the fact that I would be going to jail and went so far as to handle my affairs in anticipation of this. I had a particularly strict Judge and an aggressive state attorney but Lance reassured me he’d do his best. As I was waiting to enter the courtroom, Lance went and talked to the state attorney privately and I’m not sure if he had a magic wand or hypnotized the state but he had pulled off an utter miracle. He was able to negotiate an offer that included no jail time and no reinstatement of probation. It was literally the best possible outcome I could have received and I do not believe anyone else could have achieved such an outstanding outcome.

So if you did yourself facing criminal charges and looking for the best possible legal counsel, I’ll save you the trouble of researching attorneys and urge you to give the Law Firm of Scott T. I don’t even know where to begin on how amazing Lance Dunford was during the time he represented me. Prior to hiring this firm, I met with nearly (8) other attorneys before I met Lance. I have no previous experience with the legal system and was being falsely accused of a crime. I explained my entire situation to Lance upon the first meeting. He was the only lawyer that listened to me with complete sincerity and provided me with answers as to how the case would move forward from that point. It was very important for me to find a lawyer who would listen to the facts in my case and see that I was not guilty of any crime. (Not a lawyer would frankly did not care if I was guilty or not; just took on the case. That being the reason I met with so many lawyers prior to Lance). I felt in my heart that he genuinely knew that I was not lying.
I was definitely an “over the top” client for my lawyer, as I was very hurt and scared that someone could even dream up the charges that I was being accused of. Lance was amazing in that regard. He always answered any questions that I had, provided me with answers and the truth in the case. He made me aware of the reality of the matter without providing me false hope.

Lance and Scott are the only lawyers I would recommend! They are very straight forward with you about what may happen and do not provide false hope. They also take a personal approach to your case and will put in more effort then usual. They have a very good understanding of the Judicial system. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANOTHER LAWYER. 10/10

Lance was transparent throughout the entire process of my case and mentally prepared me for the best and worst case scenarios. He got my charges significantly reduced which eliminated a great deal of potential penalties I was facing along with the additional expenses that go along with them. I was pleased with the overall outcome of my case and would recommend him to anyone looking for an honest and efficient attorney.

Very poor experience before I could even speak to Scott he cut me off and immediately became rude regarding my husband who was in custody. He tried to pin charges on him that weren’t even on his case file when told he had the wrong person he began to get upset. I do not recommend this attorney to anybody.

Scott Moorey is the lawyer you want when someone close to you gets arrested. Returned all phone calls promptly, knows what or what cannot be done and does not give you false hope. Reasonable rates. All around great guy.
