We are incredibly grateful to Amy Van Fossen, Kathy Smeltz, and all the staff at this practice. We highly, highly recommend them. They did everything they said they would, every time.promptly, thoroughly, and with care, compassion, and true integrity (qualities that are all too rare in the legal services world). Our mom (who is 94), had been living independently, and became unable to live on her own safely. With dwindling assets, she was unable to afford to live in an assisted living facility for more than a year, much less a full care nursing home (which, as it turned out, was what she ended up needing). The other dilemma is that she had too many assets to qualify for Medicaid. Amy and the team assisted us in crafting an elegant solution that was exactly right and fully funded by Medicaid. My mom is incredibly happy at the facility they helped us find for her and she considers it her home now. I hope this review helps others who find themselves in a similar position. Thank you, Amy, Kathy, and everyone who helped us. My family is forever grateful.

Amy's office is great! We initially got in touch for the nurse case manager to help my parents manage a whole menagerie of doctors giving contradicting prescriptions and advice. But the legal advice has been tremendously helpful as well. Thanks, team!

I have nothing but good things to say about this office. Especially Kathy Smeltz and her assistants who were so knowledgeable with the medicaid process of getting Long Term Care paid for my sister. I honestly do not think I could have been able to work through all the paperwork involved in my sisters case. Kathy was kind, patient, understanding and would walk me through each process I needed to do.

Being from out of State I needed a law firm that could guide me through this path of Guardianship of a loved one. From the very beginning Kate Ni and Casey McQueeney understood that this could be a very difficult process, without being from another State. We had many calls and email exchanges to finish all the paperwork and they took the time to explain everything to me, no matter how insignificant my questions. I can only speak from my past experiences with Law Firms, and Casey and Kate are two of the most professional individuals that I have worked with.

It’s taken me a while to write this review but I believe the Gods were smiling on me when I found this Law Practice. I am a carer for a very disabled wife and initially needed help with Wills and Power of Attorney. I really can’t believe my luck. Everyone I have dealt with has been knowledgeable, caring, and compassionate. I have since consulted them on Case Management and Medicaid eligibility and had outstanding advice. It’s all a minefield out there but the people in this practice have lifted a huge weight off my shoulders. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

The office and especially Jennifer Sanchez, Senior Paralegal, walked me through the confusing process of settling my mother's estate. Kathy Smeltz, most recently walked us through the quagmire that is involved in long term care planning. Her expertise and experience prevented us from making some very costly mistakes. She has been available every single day by email or phone. She actually took my mom to complete paper work. Thank you for your patience and kindness and always going above and beyond.
Amy Van Fossen worked with us on some power of attorneys, but she also told us to call if things changed, which I did, not even knowing what help was out there. We sat in on a free virtual seminar with Katie Stolz and found out about the VA programs Dad was eligible for. We never would have known.
