Lazy Days Restaurant, Islamorada FL

One of my favorite places to stop at whether heading to or leaving key west. Beautiful beach views as you enjoy a tasty meal and beverage. I've been multiple times with friends and family.

Lazy Days has all you are looking for.great food right on the water and a chance to see and feed tarpon and nurse shark.

Very disappointed. We just drove from Miami and stop at Lazy Days for dinner with a group of 17 adults and we got rejected because we were too many.
What type of business are they running?
DONT GO TO THIS PLACE.

The French onion soup was delicious. Stuffed shrimp was ok. The crab topping was very good but the shrimp were small and overcooked. The bourbon steak was ok the sauce was too sweet. The hogfish was excellent. Sergio was our server and he was great. The view was wonderful.

MUST STOP HERE! Absolutely fantastic restaurant with quality drinks and fish sandwiches. I got the fried yellow tail served lazy days style with fries and a pickle! I also got a Hemingway and it was super refreshing! I would eat here as much as I could! Service was great and fast and professional. Parking is a little tricky if busy.

Worst restaurant experience I’ve had in a while. Our waiter, Matthew had 7 tables during peak hours and we were treated like a number. After waiting 1.5 hours to eat (supposed to be 45) and then another 30 minutes for water once we sat down. You can tell management is all about production and nothing about, (what is going to make this customer want to return?). From start to finish it was 3.5 hours at Lazy Days and I had to ask for my check 3 times. Food was okay but nothing amazing and definitely not worth returning too.

Our experience here wasn't very good. It's tourist bait. The food is EXTREMELY overpriced for the quality. We had apps, cocktails and mains and none were impressive. The location is nice and that's about it (but when you're in the Keys, every location is nice)

We have been going to Lazy Days for years, but this was the best dinner yet!
One of the specials was the Hogfish Seminole and it was delicious! The hogfish was topped with shrimp, scallops, artichoke, and mushrooms.

Lazy Days was recommended to us. The place was packed. We circled the parking lot for 15 minutes and finally got a spot. This place was worth the wait. We sat outside and it was very comfortable. The view was spectacular! We ordered conch fritters and hogfish sandwiches with delicious sweet potato fries. The restaurant is very eco-conscious so you can buy a large bag of fish scraps for three dollars, then walk down the dock to feed the tarpon, sharks, sea gulls and pelicans. Lazy Days was a great place to spend an afternoon.

We usually love eating here. But the past few times we had to leave bc it smelled so much like Fabuloso. I am so sorry but I cannot tolerate that smell Its the worst smell in the World. I dont know why any restaurant would use it or anything like it to clean. Such a shame. Anyhow our last meal including $$ below.and our second waiter, tall nice guy, was excellent and honestly the only reason we stayed! He saved you guys!

Amazing place to get a quick bite to eat. The food was great, and our server was attentive and very wholesome! Definitely would come back and recommend highly:).

Based on several recommendations of friends we stopped here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. It seemed quite busy and was a bit tough to find a spot to park in the gravel lot. However, the restaurant didn’t seem very busy inside. Our waitress took a while to get our order, took a while to bring us our food, wasn’t great at refilling our glasses although she did several times, and had to be tracked down to get our check and pay. For whatever reason I didn’t think the water tasted so great. However the tea and Pepsi tasted fine. It didn’t seem as though they were understaffed or overly busy but our waitress was waiting tables in multiple areas. Several other tables came after us and ate and left before us. The food was good but nothing super special. I ordered a special chicken sandwich and the breaded chicken patty was a bit over done / burnt slightly. The house salad was good, the conch fritters were good (with lemon and tarter sauce) and not chewy, and the key lime pie was ok. The portions were good. I think I would like to come back and order different dishes, especially at dinner time and give this place another chance. Maybe we just caught them on an off day. Just didn’t live up to all the great reviews. We also saw some people feeding the tarpon by the dock. There seems to be a nice free beach access with chairs and a downstairs outside seating. The bathrooms were clean and nice. Urinal stall was rather narrow though.

Food is incredible and they have a waiter named Harvey who is awesome all around and will help make the experience!

This place was fantastic. We had Nick as our server, he was knowledgeable about the menu and was willing to make us anything we wanted. We ordered per his recommendations and we’re not disappointed. The entrees are huge, I probably would have gotten the sandwich to have a smaller portion but shared with my husband. I got my mahi mahi done the lazy days way, well worth the extra charge. Drinks were heavy on the alcohol. My husband got the hoggish, he loved it. This is certainly a must when you’re in town. I notice a lot of complaints about service at area places, Nick was very attentive but also not annoying or pushy! Can’t wait to dine here again!

The food wasn’t anything out of this world specially for the price. We got the wrong side and I ordered a cordon blue and it was nothing like an actual cordon blue and basically burnt. Wouldn’t come back.
