Learning City Academy, Pompano Beach FL

I had a horrible experience with this school. The administration at this school is the worst that I have ever encountered in all my years of dealing with preschool. Both Samantha Martin and Samuella Augustine are both unprofessional and have no knowledge of preschool practices and policies. They misplace and mishandle important info. They cover up things and both lack the integrity needed to be in such positions that they are in.

My experience with this school was not great at all. My child was kicked out within TWO hours on his first day for having a temper tantrum. My child was starving for attention, he threw toys on the floor from the cubbies and instead of the teacher getting down on his level to talk with him and try to help him work through his feelings (he was very upset because I left him) she just picked up the toys and moved on and then something else happened my child was by classroom door I’m assuming he was trying to leave (I’m not sure as the director didn’t know what happened just showed me the footage) he was swatting at the teacher and he kicked her and she just stood in front of the door on her PHONE and didn’t pay him any mind. Not one hug given, not one word spoken to help him understand I would be back later. TWO HOURS they gave a 3 year old to adjust to being left at a brand new school surrounded by new kids and new teachers, a teacher who didn’t even introduce herself to my child till I brought over. Just an overall horrible experience for myself and my child. I would not recommend sending your child here if they have the slightest of a tantrum they will be thrown out on their first day none the less.

Very nice place, and brand new building. Both of our kids went there, and our youngest it’s going there within 2 years from now. The manager which i don’t remember her name it’s very nice and very professional. We will see you later. I strongly recommend this place, and thank you for what you do!

The teachers yell at the children in the classroom from 1 to 2 years old, the teachers do not have a proper license to work there, they are still apprentices. My 1-year-old baby received bad treatment from teachers and the director did not know how to handle the situation. I took my baby out of this place and ran away from there! I filed the complaint with the DBPR. This place just care about tuition and nothing else matters.

Nice place i toured it was clean and nice however they won’t accept toddlers with autism even tho my child has a personal therapist to attend daycare with her. I don’t find that fair or ethical found another school that will accept her.

Manager is highly unprofessional. They lost my sons medical records, did not communicate that they were not going to allow him in and him out. Then in what I believe is retaliation, started double charging my payment. Asked to complain to corporate office and was denied a telephone number to call.

Wish I could give separate stars for teachers, as they are amazing.

Just with the unprofessionalism of management, would not recommend as, they are not consistent in their operation and over charge regularly, or "always" have problems running a credit card even when your standing there (tried three times and figured out they were entering it incorrectly), do not communicate at all and become unprofessional.

Totally ignored the issues of management before, because of the teachers being amazing, but when I start getting double charged, enough is enough.

The great work that Mrs. Christie in Pompano's LCA who is performed, she is nice, she is always willing to listen and above all she is very nice to all the children, those are good qualities of a good leader and I am very calm and happy to know that my daughter is in a good place, with great staff, The truth is that I love its school!

The only thing you’re paying for is basically the appearance of this school. I am gathering a group of parents to file a complaint with the BBB for unethical and unfair practices. The management here is dreadful. My child hasn’t been learning much I find her behavior has gotten worse ever since attending this center. The teachers are nice people but I don’t believe the willingness is there to teach and care for the children. This seems as its just a regular 9-5 job for them. They also take off multiple days and close early during the holiday season and still charge you for the days the children didn’t attend because they deceived to be closed. Please don’t waste your time sending your child (ren) unless you want to deal with a headache every week. I hope the owners of this center can step in and make a change and hear these parents out.

When i first sign me my kids up for this school they was perfect but now my kids are 2 1/2 years in with them and they have been slacking a lot my son isn’t fully potty trained we are working on that at home but when he have accident at school they send his clothes home with the dodo still in it instead of washing it out or throwing them out. They ALWAYS SENDING HIM HOME WITH OTHER KIDS STUFF THAT I ALWAYS HAVE TO RETURN such as jackets, kids book bags one time they put a kid inhaler in his book-bag And last but not least they will release your child to anyone as long as they know there name they will not check to see if the person is on the pick up list and they will not check the person id as long as the person know your child name they will release them to the person they don’t even make sure they sign them out which is not safe at all it’s very clean and kept up very nice but they are starting to slack and i don’t like that i walk in one day and caught my son teacher feeding him & another infant off the same spoon& when i brought it to there attention they told me they rewatched the camera & didn’t see anything like that which was a lie because i saw it with my own eyes & due to me constantly complaining about there services they decided to remove my kids from the school without giving me no explanation on why or didn’t give me a refund cause i always pay my kids money up front & they always over charging people I DONT NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO SEND THERE CHILD HERE SCHOOL IS HORRIBLE

My son in the Baby shark classroom. He love going. The staff and teachers are great with communication. I love using the app to see what my son doing or what he’s ate for the day. He has learn so much we practice the colors and song that he doing for the week. The building always clean and the classroom. I honestly have no complaints beside can I get more pictures of my baby throughout the day lol but I would recommend this daycare to anybody.

I’m sorry but this was the worse daycare my child ever been too. The director is a crook! They need better management or new owners ASAP. The teachers are young and lazy. They are not organized they lack compassions. It’s quite concerning. They feed children a piece of bread of large chunks a of butter. Their tuition fees is high for no reason. The food they serve the children look like prison food. Please don’t waste your money to send your kids here the pompano location. They don’t potty train. I can go on and on. DO NOT SEND YOU CHILD (REN) HERE!
