Lee County Tax Collector, Fort Myers FL

Had an appointment on Monday afternoon to transfer a plate from a recently totaled vehicle to a replacement. Representative went out of her way to facilitate my request. Apparently the title from the wrecked vehicle has not been processed from the dealer. (bought Friday totaled Sunday) Entire experience was friendly and professional. If you need to go, make an appointment and mask up. No exceptions!

I made an appointment on the 16th of July and had to wait till august 3rd to get in. When I got there I had an appointment at 10: 30 and I got there at 10: 45. The front desk lady said that I was too late and had to schedule another appointment and the lady was very mean, nasty, and just unfriendly. I highly don’t recommend coming here and instead go to the dmv in downtown much better service.

They reached out to me during this time of closures and uncertainty to try and resolve an issue. I thank them for that.

Very, very slow. Bring a book or something to do. You will have a very long wait. Charged me full price for a new electronic title because they said it was a duplicate when it wasn't. Also, lots of misinformation about salvage titles. They could do so much better, but they don't care.

First time I had to wait less than 10 minutes for service. Usual wait time is 1 hour or more. The woman who took care of me was very nice, helpful, and informative. Very pleasant experience this time.

Slowest tax collectors office ever. Was in there for 3 hours, I watched the place empty out and fill back up in the time I was here. I don’t think the order they go in is very productive. Also the old lady at the front desk is beyond rude and has zero personality

The wait time was ridiculous to get a name added to a title and we were there before opening at 8 30 a.m.

SLOW. Painstaking SLOW. It should not take hours to be called back to get new plates. Greeters were kind, but this wait time is beyond ridiculous.

They worked fast and efficiently. Walked in at 11: 05 and out by 12: 10, I transferred license from another state, got title, registration, plates and everything was done completely and in hand by the time I walked out the door. Very efficient DMV. Served by the person at #14 on 6/21/19 and she did a great job with everything.

Notes: I had passport, SS card, out of state license, 2 pieces of mail to FL address, out of state title, copy of FL insurance. They do the vin check onsite and the odometer check onsite. Everything went well with this and I was able to get the plate I wanted and register to vote.

Wish I wouldn't have had to be here today but they were very helpful in clearing all my issues in a timely manner and the service was very pleasant.

As a retired military person, who has experienced DMVs in over 7 states and now living in Fort Myers, I must say this is the best DMV facility I have ever experienced. I have been here four times in the last four years for a variety of reasons; always friendly staff, clean, comfortable and as fast as a Government agency could possibly be. I recently (5/20/19) experienced wonderful and friendly service from agent Savannah, a delightful and highly competent employee. Thank you Lee County for providing your residents with an efficient DMV at Pine Ridge Road

3 hours to switch license, understandable.

Gender mistake on print out? Ridiculous.

Two complete mornings wasted.

Slow down for patience is acceptable but staff* stock* up* is* needed* for the traffic that goes through this place.

This location needs more people capable of working faster. Accomplishing one person per hour is not good.

We registered our out of state car in Florida this past week and were very impressed with Gastavo, the agent and also the smoothness of the process. The state we are coming from could really benefit from both the skill-set of the agent and the simplicity of the end-to-end process.

They really went out of their way to help me after I purchased a car from Oregon with a salvage title, they made sure I was able to keep car I had bought after someone tricked me!

If you're testing for HAZMAT be sure to make an appointment BEFORE 3: 30 PM because if you fail the computer test they won't let you retake it or do Fingerprints for the background check. Also do not renew your CDL close to the expiration of your birthday cause you be left without HAZMAT until TSA clears you (could be 2-4 weeks) I found all this out by experience recently!

They are super friendly and always aim to please! I believe they really care about your feelings.
Mary (reception desk) had worked at the reception desk for years and has brought light to the otherwise dark unpleasant air.

Very disappointed in service.slow moving lines even with an appointment.employees were rude and constantly rushed me.will not be visiting this establishment again.awful.

Back home in VA going to the DMV is somewhere up there with jury duty but I was in and out of this place real fast and the lady who helped me was super friendly!

Customer service was very professional. I was able to do two different types of transactions at one desk. The process was quick, less than 30 minutes, and Mrs Hernandez at desk 12 was outstanding.
