Leverock's Great Seafood, St. Petersburg FL

Local favorite seafood restaurant. Lots of regular customers. Popular with seniors. Nightly 2 for 1 drink specials on house wine and draft beer!

Pros:
-Drinks (kudos to the bartender)
-Staff was friendly and chill
-Pretty affordable
Cons:
-Salmon was bland and very dry/overcooked (shame)
-All other food was pretty average, nothing special

We went on Xmas eve for a late lunch. It wasn't busy. Food was ok, but the service was not attentive. I had to get my own hot sauce. Rice and beans were cold and the replacement never showed.

Always had a great experience there. There is a mistake in my takeout order which was understandable because I've had so many. They immediately corrected it and gave me extra. Very nice.

Not a good day at Leverocks.
I ordered a “chef special” called Diamond Jims Flounder.
Our waitress (Whitney), who was fabulous by the way, brought our meals, and there was no flounder on my plate. Plenty of mashed potatoes and shrimp, but no flounder.
I showed it to Whitney and she agreed there was no flounder on the plate. She took the plate to the kitchen and when she came back, she said that the chef insisted that the plate left the kitchen with flounder on it; was he insinuating that I was trying to pull a fast one?
I asked simply for a piece of flounder and said the rest of the platter was OK.
What he sent back to me was an obviously previously frozen piece of flounder that was soft, mushy and completely lacked any flavor.
“Fresh from the docks to Leverocks” did not apply.
Once again, our server Whitney was wonderful, and this was not a reflection on her.
I won’t be back to Leverocks for a long time.

This food was so good l forgot to take a picture of it before beginning eating! I had the devine crab cakes & the spouse had the grouper sandwich & fries. Try the peanut butter pie. It was amazing!

Very expensive food was just Ok. It was very crowded another popular restaurant. I doubt I'll return! The wait staff very nice!

Been coming to Leverocks whilst on vacation for the past 30 years. Sadly I think tonight will be the last time. "vegetables" side was just a pile of hopelessly overcooked broccoli. Nothing else. Shrimp were very overcooked. And our sever asked how we wanted our cheque whilst we were still eating our main course. Why? No deserts allowed apparently? Felt rushed and impersonal. Would not recommend.

The food is traditional seafood fare with a great watering hole. The service is fabulous and they treat you like family

Memorably bad.

We visited the Pasadena Location Thanksgiving eve. Me, my wife wife and my son. My son was leaving town for Thanksgiving so it was our Thanksgiving to get together.

We had been there about a week earlier. And it was good.

The lobster bisque was a thick as mashed potatoes and it had minimal (no) lobster flavor and no lobster bits at all. 2/3 of it went back. And the server did not ask why.

I ordered the sirloin steak. I asked that it be Pittsburgh style. The server indicated he knew what it was. It came back light brown and completely undercooked. I suspect this is why I had gastrointestinal problems the next day. Which I never have…

My son’s fish sandwich had a 5 inch long white worm in it. Super thin. And I suspect there's no way that you could control for that.

Because it was a Thanksgiving get together, I didn't make a big deal about it at the time.

And we were heading to a movie.

You can check my credit card receipt for that evening to see if I was actually there.

The first time we went there about a week earlier was good. But this visit was definitely not. And we won't be going back.

I was going to try to communicate with you by email. But I saw no email on your website. And when I called this morning at 8: 00 AM no one answered the phone.

You can't walk into any establishment with carpet and think it's a nice place. Clam chowder was too thick, and I always had it with some bits of potatoes.otherwise the food was good, and server was wonderful but 1st impressions matter.mine was walking in smelling dirty carpet. Dont clean or replace, Ditch the carpet!

My family and i have been coming here for years, and it is an awesome place! Our server was angelo, and he was incredibly sweet and personable.the food was truly amazing! I got the stuffed tilapia and honestly i think i shed a tear eating it because it was so good.great place, great service, great food, what more could you ask for?

A Gulf Coast staple. We frequent Leverocks. Good food at a reasonable price. Pleasant staff. Always busy. Interior is dark and dated but the food and value can make you overlook this. I most recently had the Niciose salad with added salmon. It was delicious. Worth 5 stars.

Had not been there in at least six months, the food was not like I remembered, sweet potato fries tasted burnt, my fish was cold & the thinner parts of it were overbaked & dry

Our server was great. I'm pretty sure the elderly people in this area are keeping this place afloat. It's always busy. I'd say not to fall for the deception. Was the seafood fresh? Yes? Was it flavored well? Absolutly not. We orderd an appetizer, 2 meals, and 2 drinks. The app was dry and bland. The meals were literally nasty. Gross. We took a few bites and could not continue. The drinks also were not good. I get having a heavy pour, but I'm not trying to do shots at Leverocks. There are so many other great options in this area. Do not fall for their high rating. This place is stuck in the 80s which is also how much the meal cost.
