Lightsey Family Ranch, Venus FL

Amazing time. We came in very late, but everything was set up for us. Rooms are clean, food is great and our guide Pedro is the man! Thank you for an amazing experience! Will definitely be back!

Our time at the Ranch was perfect from the time we got there and throughout our day. The reception was warm, welcoming, and beyond friendly. We had the BEST experience hunting gators with our guide, Pedro. He was knowledgeable about the gators and so much more! We simply cannot say enough good things about our hunt with him. Highly recommended!

HAD AN AMAZING TIME, SUCH A TUFF ANIMAL, HAD LOTS OF FUN AND LEARNED ALOT ABOUT GATORS, THEN WENT ON TO A INTENSE HOG HUNT, PEDRO WAS SUPER! WE ALL GOT ALONG GREAT AND HAD SUPER DAY MAKING MEMORIES! WE WILL BE BACK! THANKS AGAIN MR. PEDRO!

Lightsey Family Ranch was incredible. Our guide, Zach, is as good as they get! He was a great teacher and super patient with a first time hunter. We also brought our 7 month old lab for her first hunt and she was able to work alongside some of Lightsey's seasoned dogs. Lunch after was second to none! Already looking forward to next time!

Great experience with our guide Walker. Limited out on quail in less than two hours. Dogs did an incredible job pointing and flushing. 10/10 will be back.

Great Florida Hunting experience! Finished out the grand slam with a beautiful Osceola Longbeard! Lowell my guide couldn’t have been any better! Hobby was a great personal guide for my father and worked hard to get him his first Turkey! Our hog guide did an awesome job at getting us 3 meat hogs! Little Rummy dog put the heat to em!

Lodge and food were best of the best! Mike and his crew in the kitchen were some of the coolest around!

Been here the last 3 years I’ve come down to visit my parents in March. All my experiences have been with quail hunting. Safety and giving the customer a quality hunt is what they focus on. The guides let you dictate the pace of the hunt and cater to the needs of the party. Large property, I’ve yet to hunt the same place of land twice. Each guide seems to have a preference of where to take you and have never been disappointed. I’ve only had the lunch menu, but the food is prepared well and extremely delicious. I look forward to coming back here again!

When my hunt was booked I was told it would be on swamp buggy with dogs. The swamp buggy part of it was true but there were no dogs. We went into an enclosed area about 5 acres or so and there were some hogs in there running around and I shot one of them. Not really a hunt. It was fun and I got some meat in the freezer but not what I was expecting.

Our whole experience at Lightsey Ranch was outstanding. Our hunting guide. Santiago was a lot of fun and really knew his stuff. Would recommend us wholeheartedly.

I called with short notice to see if they could fit me in on a meat hog hunt, I was out. They fit me in with Mason, great kid and great job putting me on a nice one. He was real patient so that we could get a clean shot without collateral damage to another hog. Got a nice shot off and she dropped on the run! Got her on cleaned up and in the cooler in no time! First hunt on the ranch for me but 3 time customer, always a perfect day! Recommend highly to anyone!

Pedro is the best guide ever! We had such a fun time and he made sure we had a great experience.

Hunted quail at Lightsey Family Ranch on 2/25/23. First time there. Five star experience. I’ve hunted quail at a lot of places over the last 55 years and I highly recommend booking with them.
Enjoyed so much, I’ve booked again on 3/29.

Every year my daughter and I go on a Daddy/Daughter adventure together. This year we decided to hunt Osceola turkeys and hogs around Lake Okeechobee. Our trip to the Lightsey Family Rance was a day we’ll never forget and beyond grateful to Lee Lightsey and his family for hosting and guiding us. My daughter and I made lifetime memories and we hope to return soon.
